The greatest weapon Politician have always used in Nigeria is Triablism. The write above wrote a Letter of over 1800 words and the ONLY thing some people could pick out of it is the Name of the writer or the tribal origins of the Name !. Seriously, this is plain ridiculous . There is no single tread in Nairaland that does not degenerate to the foolish tribal thinking. I am ashamed of these kind of people !. SMH |

Care-Taker: Kidnapping in Abia has been political, the politicians hijacked this trade from armed robbers, recruited the armed robbers and financed their enterprises and have since been financing their enterprises.
The former deputy governor that was arrested with some of his boys carrying arms and was declared to be at large then, was his declaration to be at large not political?
Political thuggery translated into labour, employing hardened criminals became lucrative and all these metamorphosed into present day kidnapping, the powers that be in Abia knows all the culprits or who's camp committed each or a particular crime. So it is right to say they were Politician and now they are CRIMINALS. If a University Lecturer drops His profession for Crime, we can say the Crime is Educational |

niceprof: Even the uninformed knows that kidnapping in Abia state is politically motivated,it became pronounced when the rift in PPA became apperant. The Fedral government have been non-chalant about it cos they (PDP)were weignig their options on how to takeover Abia State. Now that Abia is in PDP bondage,FGN is deciding to do what it ought to have done and save innocent lives that have so far been lost -playing politics with innocent lives. When Theo orji decided to dine with the devil(PPA) didnt he know that this will be the outcome if he ever tried to back off? when he agreed with them to stage manage the alleged shooting spree attempt on his life in the earlier days of his administration, didnt he know that the game could be taken farther? The innocent lifes been killed in ABA are not that of kidnappers cos we all know that there are only two kidnappers in ABIA STATE -PDP AND PPA. So let the security outfits stop these extra judicial killings and go after the true culprits:PDP-THEO ORJI-PPA(ORJI UZOR KALU) Why do we keep every act of criminality tied to Politics? People are committing crime and we are saying it is politics? Sometimes, I wonder the what the definition of Politics is |

orangemen: i lost my respect for bolton when they treated okocha like a common man after all his efforts in raising that useless club. it was first, the captain band and later uncermonious release of a club legend. it is a shame the way some of these clubs behave when it comes to black players. Until Nigerians start supporting the Eyimbas and Heartlands etc ; you'll be in for more shock. Please expect more. Okocha today even 2 years into retirement is of more value that Owen ! ; but EPL clubs will still line up to sign Owen because he is one of theirs |

Politics › Re: Breaking News: Wyclef Denied Run For President Of Haiti by deor03(m): 10:27pm On Aug 20, 2010 |
becomrich5: Look what haiti just did is human right abuse. it means some haiti citizen are more important than others.
Even in nigeria with a bad system like ours, we dont have sure law. the only thing we can not do is vote abroad. I can sit in canada and my name can be on the poll and win and become president of Nigeria. Many nigeria return home to run. It is good for investment. People who have lived abroad has a better opportunity to get investment into thier countries. This is what china and japan and korea has done so far.
Look some countries finance African to go back home and run because it have impact on thier economy. When decision are made that affect trade and others. If you have lived in canada or america or UK and you are at the floor of the senate, you tend to be bias because you have nigeria friends still living there, which decision in nigeria would affect. it is all about lobbying.
Look if Nigeria introduce resident rule , it block trade to nigeria. It is important that nigerian abroad can go back home and contest with 20 million people living abroad. This is only way you can get investment into nigeria.if you shut the door on them. You have no investment.
You people live in Nigeria how do you know how to get investment. If they are governor, you can walk to any bank over here and collect loan or investment if you have the required papers. this is what we have. And as long we can proof we are governor or something in Nigeria and they verify. It is go on . You would get it easy.
look let assume I am nigeria president . There is no company in canada and USA I cant bring to Nigeria. They feel more comfort. most of thier business men are scared of nigeria. But when they see your papers that it is real and not fake. The fear disappears.
Wyclef Jean's would be able to bring more investment into Haiti than the president of Haiti. I would get more investment into Nigeria than Jonathan Goodluck. This is why haiti need to change the law. Standing ovation for Becom Baba! I actually read thru the post |

Location of these school HAVE little effect as far as i am concerned.
Oil is drilled in the ND and the HQs are in Lagos Banks Operate Nationwide and their HQs are in Lagos. Entry into Nigerian Military institutions is based on quota system, therefore it has no effect on location
My own view ( No doubt some people could have done these years back for their own reasons) |

Nigerian Business men should re-evaluate how they run business. They are used to the non-service related businesses. They all do well in Oil and Gas because all they do is importing and export with no added service.
If there is ANYBODY with a Telecom license in Nigeria NOT making money, then his head needs to be re-examined. |
