higherpower:Don't expect Fayemi to lose in his Local government this time around. |
I trust my people. No amount of police intimidation will deter them from coming out to exercise their right to vote and make sure it counts. Any party looking to rig should look elsewhere. |
edupedia:I'm a registered member of APC. So you, my friend, don't know what you're talking about. |
authority2006:I condemned PDP in 2014 and I'll do same with APC now. I hope you'll be happy if by 2022 the PDP is repeating the same feat against APC if Fayemi wins on saturday? We can't say we want a better society and still continue in the old ways and justify it by the actions of those we condemned. The way I hear APC justify every bad things happening these days by what it's obtained in PDP times, it's like they're competing to outdo them. Saturday election is a family affair, outsiders should steer clear. |
almajiri101:If the reason is none of those stated in the acts, she will still be in soup even if the certificate came from the right source. Even if you have a terminal ailment or physically challenged, the best NYSC could do is redeploy you to a place of your choice. I was mobilized just about the same time she was faking her exemption certificate. I had to defer my admission to continue my studies in Norway. A lot of people have the money and know the right people necessary to do national service in absentia, but chose to do the right thing. I guess she didn't bother to offer herself for service until she needs the certificate for government appointments, that's why she got an unmerited exemption. It doesn't work that way. We demand to know who issued that certificate and on what ground. |
buhariguy:This is not about Ekiti State. It's about APC government always doing everything possible to shut down any protest or rally that's not in their interest. People have the right to hold rallies at any time they want. I wonder what the Police is afraid of about this particular rally, when Ekiti State most probably has the largest concentration of security operatives in the country as we speak. |
buhariguy:APC is a party that came with a change mantra. We're expecting a difference, not comparison. |
almajiri101:What other reasons, apart from age, military personnels, and recipients of national honours? |
BabaO2:Just keep quiet abeg!!! If you see those those beyond 30 years of age on camp, doesn't that tells you they've come to serve at their convenient time? Go back and read what the man said again! Even if you're 60, you'll still have to serve, so far you graduated when you were younger than 30. If you graduated in a Nigerian university, you won't even be mobilized in the first place if you're above 30. |
frankmoney:APC promised a change. That's why people like me supported them. If the APC now wants to measure dick with PDP (even with the Killings), I think it's right to vote in PDP back to power. Nigeria under PDP was far better than what we have now. They'll still do a better job. I think 2019 is the right time to change the change. |
unmask:Let's not deceive ourselves, we all know the Police is not not neutral here. I'm not sure, but I don't think both parties will ever cross path if the rally held. There are over 30000 Police men in Ekiti state as we speak. More than half of them are in Ado/Ikere axis. Curtaining untoward circumstances should not be a concern, except maybe, they are there for the usual reason and not to maintain peace. We all saw an example of how a Police force should be in Egypt during the uprising there. We are not at war and the Police would never authorize any protest perceived to be against the government. Is this how we want to build a society for all? I'm just waiting for when this government will achieve what they want. |
authority2006:People still have the right to peaceful assembly. The police wouldn't ever give permission for any anti government protest/rally on the order of the Federal government. The APC is playing with fire. |
The Police should have just monitored the rally instead of dispersing them. They should have known it won't end well. What the hell is it with Buhari and his disdain for anything public protest? Even if they seek Police permission, it would have been turned down for no reason. We're heading somewhere not good as things are going. |
I'm not taking this news as credible, but if true, I'm assuring CAN that it's a matter of time before the fulani terrorists hit again, and we are back to square one. If you're in the core North and all the conflict zones in the middle belt, it's time to think moving. They won't stop. |
gabbytabby:Of course...it's also true that the Roman empire was destroyed over time too. When things get worse, between construction and destruction, you know where you're headed. Keep deceiving yourself. |
What do you expect in a country where everyone compete to take advantage of the other? |
somehow:It's not my fault if you don't understand the actual meaning of your own words. Please, I'm done with you. |
somehow:So what you're saying now is that the Fulani Herders are killing people because of cattle that do not belong to them anyway? I'm telling him a verifiable fact, he's asking me irrational questions. |
somehow:I know this because I know dozens of southerners that have cattle. None of them roam them. Before you repeat what you said, none of them employ Fulani herders. |
somehow:Non-Northerners that have cattle don't roam their herds. They already have a form of ranch, so save us that bullshiit |
buchilino:Ilorin is a rebel state and Afonja, the Aare Ona Kakanfo at that time, defiled the Alafin. They're enjoying their slavery, courtesy of the curse laid upon them by the Alafin. No one is obliged to fight to get back Ilorin. They got what they want. If you want to know how jealous the Yorubas guide their land, turn to Offa/Erin-Ile and Ife/Modakeke for example. We take land from people, we don't cede, but I'm not expecting you to understand the basics of empire building because your ancestors had none. |
The way I see it, the core north will declare their own republic in protest. These killings will not end well for them. This is a promise. As for Femi, I know they no born your mama well to say that in your home state. We might be religiously accommodating, but when it comes to matters of land, Yorubas would rather die than giving it out to strangers, talk more of subhumans like the Fulanis. |
You probably don't know your job as the Aare Ona Kakanfo, if you think otherwise. |
Maket:Are you kidding me? |
Kwara State Stadium main bowl has a better look. I don't expect the home pitch of the great Eyimba to look any less than this. |
This is epic Politicians thinks of the next election while, statesmen think of the next generation. Now we know how many statesmen we have in Nigeria... very close to zero. |
DrMuzungu:More than 60% of them are securing the VIPs. The poor Nigerians are in the hands of God |
DrMuzungu:NPF has 1 million manpower? Are you kidding me? Nigerian Police Force is about 400,000 in size. The whole armed forces is under 1 million. |
Mislead ke? Even before Ciroma granted the interview, we already know. |
Juliusmalema:Of course, it won't be 100% against him, we don't vote in that pattern. Buhari will not poll the majority vote in the south west,if the elections are free and fair. |
Juliusmalema:We could say the same thing about the Igbos. The Yorubas will vote against Buhari, not because the Igbos are doing the same thing, but because that will be the best thing to do. |
Juliusmalema:Majority you say? See, most Yorubas are intelligent enough to know how they fared before Buhari came on board and how they are now. They'll judge him based on that, not his campaign promise this time around. Buhari brand is practically unsellable in Yorubaland. They're counting on rigging (even that will be difficult for them) |
