ChiefMarumba:You actually believed what you typed up here? SMH |
With these statements, it's evident that even an illiterate trader on the street knows more about the history of Nigerian economy than Buhari. |
Buhari?! So crude oil was selling at an average rate of $100 per barrel between 1999 and 2014? Well done, Olodo! |
It's all about RAM and clock speed and of course, internet connectivity (4G) Battery capacity is not a problem, I can under clock my phone to save battery ![]()

LochOtieno:Don't mock people when they realize their mistakes. |
The Amalgamation of 1914 and every other thing would be prevented. |
Brains1990:Of course, it makes sense to conclude that it's the indigenes that are killing their own families and burning down their own villages, while Miyetti Allah is so sure that the indigenes would continue to kill themselves if anti open grazing law is not reversed. |
Good development. Let the church encourage members to go register to vote and also to participate in elections. We have the power to decide our own fate, let's use it. Apathy to elections by christians is as good as promoting islamists to positions of authority. |
SBG04:Do you even know the implication of being in debt? Before you reply with how we're capable to pay back, please what's the amount budgeted for debt financing this year alone? Just imagine if every government have been borrowing an average of #10 trillion every three years, just because they thought we can pay. |
When you borrow what you can not offset in your own lifetime/regime, you're putting shackles of bondage on upcoming generations. Serious nations borrow for something tangible (revenue generating or socio-economic beneficial capital projects). But what you expect from a country whose annual budget is less than more than 70% recurrent? The money is going into the pockets of few individuals, this is in Nigeria, it doesn't matter if the annual budget is #20 trillion, the man on the street would never feel the impact. It be right to ask the government of Buhari what he did with close to #10 trillion he borrowed in the last 3 years (of course, 95% of it is in the pockets of 5%- the real 5%). If Nigeria didn't borrow a penny during the civil war, I wonder the rationale behind all this borrowing when we have other means to generate revenue we need. Later now, some people will say the youths are lazy. Laziness is when the government have to put the country in debt, while there are other means to generate income. |
I was in Ilorin during the weekend and realized that a particular road project (about one kilometer or so) being on going for more than a year now, is still less than 40% completion. Suffice to say that the Contractor is not even on site any longer. This is a major road, usually with heavy traffic. If you're not going to Lagos, Ogun, Oyo or the North, this is the only road leading out of Ilorin. The road is in a more deplorable condition than it was, causing more pains to motorists, health hazards to residents, and with many businesses on lock down. I'd like to use this medium to call the attention of the Federal Government (Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing in particular) to ensure the project in question is given proper attention and completed without further delay. Project Details: Project: Dualization of Michael Imoudu- Afon Junction- Ganmo Road. Client: Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing. Contractor: HMF Construction Solutions Limited. Contract Number: 6292.

Abagworo:I don't know about anyone else, but I was buying fuel at #87 per litre until Buhari raised the price to #145. Buhari Government helped Nigeria absorb the oil shock despite the Avengers sabotage sponsored by election losers. It takes good knowledge of oil economics to rate Buhari's performance. You're not telling yourself the whole truth. The economy would have fared better if had fold his hands, doing nothing, without triggering the crisis in the first place. Yes, he took over at a time oil price was falling, but his ill thought policies actually hasten our journey into recession. If I ask you to mention any country 90% dependent on crude oil that performed better than Nigeria, I'm sure you can't list even one.I honestly can not think of any oil mono-economy we're better than. You can dispute with economic indices. |

TIDDOLL:There was a robbery in post office some years back. The culprits escaped through challenge-unity-new yidi road axis, unchallenged. |
Your cup will soon be filled to the brim, and rightly so, you'll all reap what you sow in ten folds. I hope the fulanis will still see it as a clash when the table turns and they are at the receiving end? The only mistake made by the people of the states in question was crying to the press instead of reprisal. How has crying to the press helped now that they have been disarmed and told that the government won't be able to protect them? If a fulani attacks you once, attack him three times in return, and he will never come back again. |
adem30:Someone was asking you the meaning of change. Why should a government who rode to power on the pedestal of changing the status quo be so swift in making reference to how bad things were? Did 15 million + Nigerians vote for Buhari for a positive or negative change, or for things to remain the same? If you look around and be honest with yourself, you'll notice this regime has brought nothing but backwardness and a worse version of everything wrong with Nigeria. |
There's no basis for comparison. I know everywhere there is to know in both cities. Abuja is no where near Lagos. And besides you can't cover a distance of 13km in 30 minutes anywhere in Abuja in the morning...not when you left home at 7:30 am. Travelling that far from home to work, she's definitely residing outside the municipal or somewhere within AMAC a bit removed from the city center and there is nothing exciting about living in Abuja slums. On a serious note, all the high-end neigbourhood in Abuja are equivalent to mid-level in Lagos, no hating. |
The right thing to do right now is to go see his attorney, not Buhari. I'm waiting to see if Buhari will wipe his slate clean because of this meeting, thereby, add this to his long list of blunders and lawlessness. If that happens, it's either Buhari is actually trying to frame Saraki for murder to intimidate him or he's just confirming what what we already know him to be- a man without respect for the rules of law. |
The question is, how realizable is this budget? |
omojeesu: Daniel 9:24 ...'Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.'This prophecy is for the Jews to turn to God. The ultimatum was 490 years. 9:25 ...'Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks' ...69 weeks until Jesus was revealed as the messiah at his baptism. Daniel 9:27...'And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease... 'Verse 26 tells us that Jesus would be killed after the 69th week. This above quoted verse made us understand that he would he would cause sacrifice and oblation to cease. How? I believe you know that the death of Jesus practically tore the veil of the temple, technically putting an end to the sacrifices? This happened in the middle of the 70th week. The Jews rejected God and the ultimatum ended at the stoning of Stephen and there we have it, the 70 week prophecy fulfilled. The Jews paid the full price of rejecting God by the destruction of Jerusalem afterwards by the Romans (people of the prince. Dan: 9:26) . So in essence, the seventy weeks of Daniel are seventy CONTINUOUS weeks of prophetic time. Not actually about end time thing and it's meant only as a warning for the Jews. Let's not derail the thread further. ![]() |
omojeesu:The 70 weeks of Daniel prophecy is 490 years (70*7) not literal days. |
deomelo:Indeed, everyone not in support of this lawless regime must be Ibo. Keep it up. |
SBG04:Add this to the list of things to be outrageous about. |
deomelo:Yes, it is against his oath of office. I wonder if you would have said the same thing if it was Atiku's campaign lapel he wore. He's a public servant, not a politician...and yes, as a police officer, he's not entitled to vote or support any political party. |
SBG04:I'm not on twitter neither have I for once watched BBN show. That notwithstanding, has nothing to do with the EFCC chairman wearing Buhari campaign lapel. That some people justify criminals doesn't make this right. EFCC chairmanship is not a political position. |
deomelo:It seems you don't get it, EFCC Chairmanship is not a political position. The Chairman should not be seen supporting a political figure, not even the President. He may still be the Chairman of the commission if peradventure, Buhari loses the election next year. Now, how will he perform his duty when corruption cases involving Buhari is being brought before him , if he's already his fan now? |
SBG04:In as much as it's not good to defend criminals, the Chairman of EFCC has no business being a fan of the President. He's the head of a supposedly independent and unbiased anti corruption agency for God's sake. In case, you don't know, EFCC chairman is not supposed to be taking orders from the President. Now, how are we sure the Senator being accused of gun running is not being victimized for speaking out against the President? I'm sure this is exactly what you would post in defense if it was the INEC Boss that wore the lapel. |
blacknp:You should check into the nearest mental health Clinic ASAP. If there is anyone who sounds frustrated and hopeless, it's you. You sound deranged, and like a rabid dog. I know your type. Because your parents failed to give you a good life, every parent is a failure. And now because you're suffering and smiling, everyone else is. You live in a country where nothing is working (no electricity, good hospital, good roads, pottable water, security of lives and property, just name it) and you're calling that a giant? You better wake up, you're in hell. Deal with that. I'm done with you. |
blacknp:Read what you typed again and ask yourself if you're ok upstairs. And you you're sure you're doing better than me, how? We've fought our civil war and now, the country is in peace? You probably don't know the meaning of civil war. I can't cope with people who can't see beyond their noses. This is beyond your intelligence, so you'll do well if you can just shut up. Never-do-wells console themselves by feeling everyone is like them. I've stated the fact. If you can not cope with reality, you can go knock yourself out. |
poseidon12:By divine design, Buhari is destined to disintegrate this country. I told a friend in 2013 that Buhari would rule this country again, even if it's for a day. One way or the other, division of Nigeria will take place during his reign. If this doesn't happen before or during next general election, then I'm afraid, the terrorist is going to win by all mean. The killings are not going to end soon. |
