PoliticsRe: Why Is Nigeria So Difficult To Develop? by Depilot(m): 7:02pm On Dec 15, 2009
We need to develop ourselves mentally first before attempting to the develop Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Why Is Nigeria So Difficult To Develop? by Depilot(m): 12:40am On Dec 15, 2009
It's very challenging to develop Nigeria because people like yourself and myself are not doing anything, but complain and use corrupt leaders as an excuse.

It takes the entire village to raise a bright kid; I think it also takes everyone of us to see a well developed Nigeria.

Many of us are too busy and too focus on only making money in Nigeria; none of us is willing to volunteer to contribute anything toward developing this country.

May be this is the right moment for each and everyone of us to pause and ask ourselves this question:
I'm now 25 yrs old or 30 yrs old or 40 yrs old or 50 yrs old, through out my life as a Nigerian, what have I ever done for this country?
If you can not come up with at least 2 things, you're part of the problem.

You need not to steal money from Nigeria to be corrupt.
We need to develop ourselves mentally before attempting to the develop Nigeria.

People are starting to get my drift

Afam:
We do not have sincere leaders and those being led are not helping matters by focusing too much on white collar jobs with no reasonable production of anything in Nigeria.

Nigeria cannot develop with its population if it remains an import destination. Today, companies from different parts of the world are doing their best to sell what they produce in Nigeria while our own people refuse to see the inherent danger in this trend.
A great point, I completely agree.
PoliticsRe: Why Is Nigeria So Difficult To Develop? by Depilot(m): 6:43pm On Dec 14, 2009
In a nut-shell: Regardless of your age or level or the size of your contribution, it takes you and I to develop Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Why Is Nigeria So Difficult To Develop? by Depilot(m): 6:22pm On Dec 14, 2009
It takes a single step to accomplish a giant goal.
When we start giving back to this country without expecting nothing back, this country will start moving towards the right path.
All I'm saying is: It will benefit our country enormously if we (citizens) understand the importance of volunteer work in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Why Is Nigeria So Difficult To Develop? by Depilot(m): 5:57pm On Dec 14, 2009
Justcash:
@ Depilot: You are wrong. How do you contribute when you are deliberately ignored? Do you know that It is a Nigerian that is building the Iraqi Mono-rail system? He begged to do it for Nigeria but he was blatantly ignored! He wanted to do it because he felt patriotic. What is happening to the brothers that built the armoured cars in Nigeria? They are no where to be found. sometimes to contribute, one need to be heard. If it is about sweeping the streets and planting flowers, those cannot stimulate development. I am an international entrepreneur. Do you know how many Jobs I would have created if I had gotten a little entrepreneurial surpport from the government? How can I open a factory, and run it without basic infrastructures, thereby making my products more expensive than imported products? It will be a big loss! But if the government had given some policy and financial (Loan) surpport to protect domestic companies, I would have been encouraged to do that. Rather, they prefer to give everything to all the Dangotes and Otedolas of this world. A mini factory employs more than 100 workers. If such factories are more than 300 in each state, how many employed Nigerians will you have? It is as simple as A, B, C.
I am not blaming currupt leaders, I am praying for God to serve them his appriopriate Judgment (Jeremiah 23: 1-2)

@Kobojunkie: I think you made alot of sense. They are just satisfied with the way Nigeria is.
1. building the Iraqi Mono-rail system: making money
2. brothers that built the armoured cars in Nigeria: making money
3. Do you know how many Jobs I would have created if I had gotten a little entrepreneurial surpport from the government: making money
4. How can I open a factory, and run it without basic infrastructures: making money
5. if the government had given some policy and financial (Loan) surpport to protect domestic companies, I would have been encouraged to do that: making money
6. A mini factory employs more than 100 workers. If such factories are more than 300 in each state: making money

@Justcash: All you have listed just made my point for me: We are too busy and too focus on just making money with very little or nothing to contribute or sacrifice for this country.
Bros, before stating that I'm wrong, please get to understand the true definition of volunteer work

Here comes another incredible report from the cheapest site around.

This is one site that craves for bad news coming from Nigeria. I just don't do business with such a group of people; any news from Sahara reports goes in the toilet.
PoliticsRe: North At Last Dumps Yar’adua by Depilot(m): 9:52pm On Dec 13, 2009
Yaradua will step down when the time is right.
The North is working very hard everyday to figure out what is next; and according to a reliable source, the implementation process of what is next from North is almost complete.
I honestly believe that at the completion of this process, our president will then step aside.
PoliticsRe: Why Are You People So Scared Of 'The North' ? by Depilot(m): 9:43pm On Dec 13, 2009
Do you think the Izon, Edo, Urhobo, Tiv, Isoko, Esan etc
Is it OK to only speak on what one knows?

I respect all these other groups, but I do not know much about them; therefore it would be unfair and unpleasant for me to say much about them.
PoliticsRe: North At Last Dumps Yar’adua by Depilot(m): 9:38pm On Dec 13, 2009
I will not buy this news so quickly. If you closely pay attention to history you will realize that the North has been known to systematically play game when it comes to picking or choosing who to lead this country.

OBJ could have produced Donald Duke as the PDP candidate and the North would have had no choice but to go along !!!
Obasanjo knew better not to do so.
PoliticsRe: Why Are You People So Scared Of 'The North' ? by Depilot(m): 9:28pm On Dec 13, 2009
The Igbo people are mostly unfocused (too fast), they want to do everything.

The Yoruba people want everything, but mostly do not want to climb the mountain to get it all.

The Hausa people are mostly very focused, patient (slow) and need not too much to be happy.

It is surely ok to multitask but certainly not ok to propagate multiple ideologies. You are either a Nationalist or a Regionalist.
Please pay attention to my background.
My bloodline is directly connected to Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba and 1 other country.
I can not disrespect any of these groups, I can only state the obvious truth.

PoliticsRe: Why Are You People So Scared Of 'The North' ? by Depilot(m): 9:07pm On Dec 13, 2009
Rather than focus on the break up of the nation, let us focus on decentralisation and devolution of power and the attendant benefits of such an arrangement
You can run away from everybody, but yourselves. No need to breakup; we just need to respect/embrace one another, change the system, upgrade/empower election process, elect competent/sensible leaders and volunteer to contribute towards developing your country.
PoliticsRe: Why Are You People So Scared Of 'The North' ? by Depilot(m): 8:51pm On Dec 13, 2009
@topic: The answer is very simple.

North is the most united group in Nigeria.
You can hate them if you want, you can even call them illiterates if it makes you feel better, but there is a reason why 90% of security guards in Nigeria is from the north.
PoliticsRe: Plolice Issues International Arrest Warrants For El-rufai And Ribadu by Depilot(m): 10:39pm On Dec 11, 2009
If we continue to allow our sensitive feelings to control our views on things in Nigeria, this great nation will never move forward.

Nobody is above the law, Ribadu and El-rufai should return home as soon as possible to defend themselves.

Running or hidding doesn't speak well of these 2 individuals and definitely sends wrong message to the youngstars (the future of this country).
Akingbola, one of the CEO of the troubled bank has already followed the same step. And I'm sure that many are also waiting to do the same as soon as their illegal actions are challenged. How long are we willing to stand and allow our country to continue to crumble?

If you love this country, you will encourage Ribadu and El-rufair to return right away, present their cases and make their enemies look foolish.

As a great citizen, it is simply the right thing to do.

In other words, agree with the majority and you will be elected right away.

Guys are taking this too serious. Look, this is a public forum which allows anyone to support who or whatever he or she desires.
Not everybody will like you or like what you have posted. Instead of focusing on personal attack and disrespecting each other, I say let's grow up and allow this great site to continue to be a magnificent tool that is being used to communicate among brothers and sisters.

We need not to use Muskool for everything.

PoliticsRe: Plolice Issues International Arrest Warrants For El-rufai And Ribadu by Depilot(m): 3:00pm On Dec 11, 2009
I think together when we become smarter and mature enough to condemn all these people: from AGF to Ibori, from Ribadu to El-rufai, from Obasanjo to IBB, from Odeli to Tinubu, from Akala to Kalu and so on; Our country, Nigeria will be rescued from the blood suckers.
PoliticsRe: Plolice Issues International Arrest Warrants For El-rufai And Ribadu by Depilot(m): 2:54pm On Dec 11, 2009
So, because we have bad leaders in Nigeria we all should be running out of the country whenever our actions are questioned?
Way to go, people.

We shall get there as soon as we are all willing to put our sensitive feelings aside and concentrate on identifying what is right and what is wrong.
I hate to state that what we are reading on this topic is exactly how our leaders view things in Abuja; and this is why nothing is done or will ever be done.

Instead of all of us to pay more attention to what David has done wrong and how it could be prevented in future, we are all busy defending David just because John who happens to be challenging David's illegal actions is also a bad leader. And this how it goes in Abuja today.
Nobody has the wisdom and courage (both here and in Abuja) to say fuc k David and fuc k John, this country belongs to us and we are ready to make things right.

It is very sad.

PoliticsRe: Plolice Issues International Arrest Warrants For El-rufai And Ribadu by Depilot(m): 9:54pm On Dec 10, 2009
Ribadu will break down at the court of law if he ever shows up; there are too many questions that will reveal too many illegal actions.

Mikeansy: Do you honestly believe that Ribadu is staying away from court because someone is after his life?
PoliticsRe: Plolice Issues International Arrest Warrants For El-rufai And Ribadu by Depilot(m): 9:47pm On Dec 10, 2009
Do you guys know that Ribadu was supporting the implementation of the 3rd term?
I bet you, 99% of these people supporting Ribadu did not know.
PoliticsRe: Plolice Issues International Arrest Warrants For El-rufai And Ribadu by Depilot(m): 9:43pm On Dec 10, 2009
They can all go to hel l together holding hands, and allow real people real leaders to take control of this country.

Ribadu do not care about Nigeria, he only cares about himself, his agenda and also to proof to his enemies that his ego is still big and active.
It is his personal fight and not a fight for Nigeria.

Trust me!

Depilot

The Justice System where you want this men to come and defend themselves is one in which Bafarawa was innocent untill he started to openly criticise the Government and became a key player in the formation of NDM.

Bafarawa left office 2 years ago. why was he not corrupt all this while? He had no immunity, the only immunity is to keep quiet at the lack of leadership in Nigeria. The moment he began anti-Government political activities he became corrupt.
Mikeansy: Believe me, I see your point very clear. Infact, I still can not believe that Tinubu and Odeli are still walking freely in this country. But never the less, we must first understand that El-rufai And Ribadu are simply parts of our problems. These people are the same.

I am not proud of our system in Nigeria, but I will never allow Ribadu to play me for a fool.
