PoliticsRe: Why Are Nigerians Poor? by Depilot(m): 5:59pm On Dec 07, 2009
Nigerians are very poor because we continue to do the same shi t every single day: cry and blame politicians for every dam n thing. We all forgot that politicians are made daily among all of us, therefore, we all need to look closely and directly in the mirror.
It takes you and I to make positive things happen in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: If Yaradua Steps Down Today, What Do You Think Will Happen? by Depilot(op): 6:37pm On Dec 04, 2009
If Yaradua Steps Down Today, Goodluck will not be forced to step down, but he will play by the rules of the big dogs for the rest of this term. fyi: Goodluck is a smart and very simple man. He completely understands the game of politics.

I also agree that his VP will be an Hausa man, who has the stamina to compete and win the presidential election in 2011.

I wonder who this man will be huh
PoliticsRe: If Yaradua Steps Down Today, What Do You Think Will Happen? by Depilot(op): 6:31pm On Dec 04, 2009
If yaradua resigns, goodluck becomes president.,a northern vp is taken, By 2011,goodluck steps down for the vp who later becomes president to complete yaradua 2nd tenure,
Point.
PoliticsRe: Thief Dr Soludo by Depilot(m): 6:05pm On Dec 04, 2009
Any Nigerian that held any government position during Obasanjo's 8 yr term stole, period!
But only the greedy ones will be prosecuted, but do not fool yourselves, every one of these people (Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa) stole during this period.
Defending any of these people will be nothing but fooling yourselves.
PoliticsRe: Thief Dr Soludo by Depilot(m): 5:53pm On Dec 04, 2009
It is completely unfair to state that Soludo stole or did not steal, but Nigeria is the only country on this planet where a poor man just last night can wake up this morning to be among the wealthiest around (this is without playing lottery).
And this is why you've got to love Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: If Yaradua Steps Down Today, What Do You Think Will Happen? by Depilot(op): 5:47pm On Dec 04, 2009
dont blame the north to be honest this whole Zoning will stop immediately after yaraduas term or after the SE zones term
I have no choice but to agree with you. I have stated it over and over that presidency rotation system (zoning) in Nigeria is nothing but a hopeless system.
It creates nothing but confusion and at the end of the day, the most qualified candidate is skipped for the job.

I hope FG is preparing a sensible method to replace Yaradua if he steps down. Or else there will be fire between the Delta connection and the Hausa boys.
It will be deadly and messy.

Paddy_Lo: Great Job.
PoliticsRe: If Yaradua Steps Down Today, What Do You Think Will Happen? by Depilot(op): 6:38pm On Dec 03, 2009
My suggestion:
Goodluck should replace Yaradua, while David Mark takes over the VP position for the rest of this term.
Now, In 2011 the Presidency rotation should then be readjusted; the northerners should be allowed to rule for a brand new 8 years.
Disclaimer: From 2011 on, the President and the VP must be from the same region.

Anything less will be deadly and will bring Nigeria down to her knees for a very long time.
PoliticsIf Yaradua Steps Down Today, What Do You Think Will Happen? by Depilot(op): 5:10pm On Dec 03, 2009
I honestly believe that now is the time for everyone of us to start looking at the future of this country.
If Mr. President happens to step aside today, what is going to happen? Who is going to be the president and who is going to be the VP?

It was also on the news this morning that Obama's administration is looking at this situation very closely.
We need to be more proactive and handle our business.
PoliticsRe: Support Yar'adua's Resignation Or Not? by Depilot(m): 6:02pm On Dec 02, 2009
As long as special arrangement is made, Mr. president can then step down.
We just do not need any craziness in this country, the citizens do not deserve it.
PoliticsRe: Support Yar'adua's Resignation Or Not? by Depilot(m): 5:49pm On Dec 02, 2009
The big question is: what will happen in this country if Yaradua steps down?
PoliticsRe: Support Yar'adua's Resignation Or Not? by Depilot(m): 5:20pm On Dec 02, 2009
For the sake of the stability of this country, my vote is no.

PoliticsRe: Ban Sahara Reporters! by Depilot(m): 3:58pm On Nov 29, 2009
Again, there is nothing wrong with Sahara Reports posting all the negative news on Nigeria, but they should also post other nice things that are taking place in Nigeria.
The site will be more productive if things are balanced.

PoliticsRe: Yar’adua May Not Return Till Next Year — Doctors by Depilot(op): 3:49pm On Nov 29, 2009
@Depilot, this is your reaction to news that your president will probably not return to the duty for another month??

Do you have any clue what your rights as a Nigerian or even a Human being are?
Where is my reaction?
PoliticsRe: Ban Sahara Reporters! by Depilot(m): 6:36am On Nov 29, 2009
@kobojunkie:
2 things: 1. It is obvious that you do not live in Nigeria 2. It is also clear that you have problem with Glo as a successful Nigerian organization.
My reply to the mess you have posted will not be decent. It is a holy weekend, let us leave it holy.

Good night.
PoliticsRe: Ban Sahara Reporters! by Depilot(m): 6:20am On Nov 29, 2009
Pay attention, please!
It is ok to discuss all the crazy things in Nigeria, but it is also very important not to forget the great things that continue to show up here and there.
Nigerians just don't pay attention; it is very sad.
PoliticsRe: Ban Sahara Reporters! by Depilot(m): 6:14am On Nov 29, 2009
Pay attention, please!
My man, there are many great things taking place in Nigeria as we speak.
Lagos is now seeing more hotels and more employment opportunities, roads in major cities continue to improve, power supply issue is being taken serious more than before, Nigerian telecommunication company (Glo) is being embraced in more than 3 African countries, today many Nigerians from all over the world are now relocating back to Nigeria more than ever, and more. Nigeria is not as perfect as we all want the country to be, but things are coming together little by little
.

Look, it is all in our state of mind. If your father continues to call you a bastard, very soon you will start believing the man and before you know it, you will be asking your mom to identify your real father.

It is ok to discuss all the crazy things in Nigeria, but it is also very important not to forget the great things that continue to show up here and there.
Nigerians are not the only people that have access to Sahara site; therefore, this cheap site might also be a mechanism that discourages potential investors that are thinking about bringing their businesses to Nigeria.

The site should be banned immediately.
PoliticsRe: Ban Sahara Reporters! by Depilot(m): 5:46am On Nov 29, 2009
If someone reads the mess you have posted, he or she will think you live next door to my house. It is amusing how we (Nigerians) boldly judge or say things we clearly do not know.
But bros, it is a free world, please carry on. You can even make Sahara home page your screen saver, it's totally fine.
PoliticsYar’adua May Not Return Till Next Year — Doctors by Depilot(op): 4:37am On Nov 29, 2009
http://www.ngex.com/cgi-bin/frame/frameit2.plx?link="http://www.sunnewsonline.com/"

Yaradua needs to have enough time to recover from his condition. Depending on how the illness progresses, then the issue of continuing in office, which is bound to generate political heat, will have to be confronted. But for now he needs to recover his health back, both the renal function, cardiac function and the causative factor that might have led to the pericarditis have to be dealt with. From there, after the assessment then the issue of continuing in office can be debated. But knowing what this country is, it is likely to generate a lot of sensitive political maneuverings and I don’t think that we are ready for that now. The nation is not ready for such now. At least there is a government on ground, let us keep managing the way we have been. After all the man has not been very active all these past months due to his clinical condition that has been clouded with a kind of mist till now that the chicken is coming home to roost.”
PoliticsRe: Ban Sahara Reporters! by Depilot(m): 3:46am On Nov 29, 2009
If you don't like Sahara reporterS or thinks that they are propagating fake news, please don't go to their website or read their fake news.
This is not about going or not going to Sahara website, it isn't about anybody, it is about Nigeria.
It makes no sense for any organization or any business to capitalize on the failure that we experience daily in Nigeria.
And no one here is asking Sahara reports to stop doing their negative reports on Nigerian, all we are asking them to do is to try to balance things a little bit.

One of my friends (a member of Sahara reports site) who finally visited home last summer after several years in USA couldn't believe his experience and what he discovered during his vacation in Lagos, PH and Abuja. The dude was totally lost, he couldn't sleep, he did not believe that he was in Nigeria. I continued to tell him that he has spent too much time on Sahara site. I will never forget when he stated that "I can not believe that I waited this long to return home, I can not believe that I didnot have enough courage to return sooner to experience things on my own; from what I heard and read, I was not expecting things to turn out to be this nice"

It is not a secret that Nigeria is a failed land just like many other countries around the world. And without any question, we do need improvement in every way. But while we seek for improvement, what we shouldn't allow is for some cheap site to continue to bash everything in or about Nigeria. The corrupt leaders are less that 5% in Nigeria, there are other great things taking place in Nigeria daily.

Have you noticed that Sahara site vigorously exposes every single negative thing about Nigeria without ever identifying a single solution?
I also believe that Sahara site was one of the sites that first released the news of the sudden death of Maryam Babangida; instead of them to correct their error, they quickly deleted the report.

I honestly believe that this site will be immediately out of business as soon as things start to improve in Nigeria.

FYI: There is a group of Nigerians based in USA who are currently in the process of launching a new website. This site will release daily news from many newspapers from Nigeria.
Their main objective is to shine light on the other side of Nigeria and Nigerians, eg: revealing the invisible progress in Nigeria, new organizations in Nigeria by Nigerians, employment opportunities in Nigeria, business opportunities in Nigeria, list monthly infrastructure projects all around Nigeria, evaluating and grading Schools in Nigeria, and more.

I truly believe that as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. Great news on Nigeria will enormously encourage not only Nigerians, but other group around the world, and eventually the negative news and the bad guys will disappear one by one.

Through my profession I have been to many countries in Africa and in other parts of the world, and I realize that apart from poor power supply in Nigeria and corrupt leaders, I have never seen or been to a country where opportunities are abundantly available.
If we learn how to BigUp (embrace) our country, I think great things will come our way.

Sahara site craves for bad news from Nigeria; this cheap site is nothing, but clearly a hater of progress and an enemy of Nigeria and Nigerians.

PoliticsRe: Ban Sahara Reporters! by Depilot(m): 6:36pm On Nov 28, 2009
Sahara site repeating the same failure we already know will not do you or Nigeria any good.
May be when CNN starts getting their information about Nigeria on Sahara site, we will wake up.

Every country has issues and advertising the issues 24/7 usually doesn't solve the problems, but poison people's mind and further degrade the foundation of the country.

Sahara report is an enemy of progress and enemy of Nigeria.

@poster: I agree with you 100%
This cheap website (Sahara) has nothing positive to say about Nigeria. Go and check the stupid site up and down and you'll find nothing but news that degrade Nigeria as a country and Nigerians as human beings.

This makes me wonder if this kind of site will ever want Nigeria to develop or to improve in anyway.
If there is no bad news from Nigeria, the site is out of business; this type of shoddy business should not be embraced by anyone.

The site should not only be banned, but the owners should also be set on fire.
PoliticsRe: Dr. Goodluck Jonathan Comes Under Pressure To Resign by Depilot(m): 5:58pm On Nov 28, 2009
Let us keep it simple and original.
Instead of wasting time trying to design presidency by using the map of Nigeria, may be we should focus more on improving our election process or system.
Establish 2 parties, scan the candidates from every where in Nigeria, select the candidates based on their records and qualifications, allow these candidates to present their cases to the public and allow Nigerian citizens to select the best man.

No need to keep on lowering the standard of the presidential position in Nigeria with this useless rotational presidency rubbish. It creates more confusion and will never produce the best man as the president.

Just mark it down that depilot will rule very soon and you will love me.
