Arrant nonsense!@Ujujoan: of course, it is arrant nonsense till the chicken comes home to your door step to roost. |
@Iykopee: are you dead or alive? is your father alive? |
First, I must give kudos and my respect to our president for being able to maintain this difficult position. I admire his courage and drive to keep on pushing through, even when the pinheads are busy wishing him the worst. Everybody talks about him being a sick man or a sick president; my questions for you people are: 1. is being sick a choice? and 2. who the hell are you to make fun of a sick man? Go and check President Yaradua's record from day one and you will discover that even being sick for many years, the man has accomplished more than most Nigerian politicians do in their entire careers, and more than most of you people will ever see in your life time I see president Yaradua as an inspirational human being; he has proven to the world that just because you're sick or disable doesn't mean your life is over. With love and support, you can do just about anything. President Yaradua continues to perform hard duties without complaint or pointing fingers. I personally see his endurance as hope to others. But Nigerians people as usual are mostly too dead and blind to see anything from everything. All our leaders for the past 40 years rubbed us, but I can assure you that this president hasn't taken a kobo that doesn't belong to him from this nation. And that alone is more than enough for me to take off my hat to him. God gives life and only God can take it away. Please let us all stop testing God and allow him (God) to handle his business. |
If Ribadu can not come back home to face all charges against him like a man, like a true Nigerian, and like other Nigerians, he should please shut his mouth, Nigerians are sick of his sad stories. |
Question: Is Geneva sending this confiscated $350 million back to Nigeria? And if the money is returned, what can we legally do with it that we benefit Nigerians/Nigeria? These are the questions Nigerians/ Nigerian government should be asking. But we are so stupid and pretty much unfocused. Our focus is always on everything except for the ball. |
Not to defend or bash Babangida, but let us all use our common sense for once. 1. CBN has been sponsoring such event for many years 2. CBN is an institution, Sanusi happens to be the sitting governor, but there are still many other supporting members that are directly involved in day to day CBN activities. In short, all the decisions of CBN are not made by Sanusi. Therefore, please stop making everything looks as if Sanusi is out to run CBN down to the ground. 3. IBB golf tournament does not belong to Babangida. It is a mere tournament named after Babangida. How stupid could one be? 4. If Banbangida is a criminal, please name one politician in Nigeria that isn't a criminal. Enough of this Babangida shi t, I'm sick of it. If Babangida has done anything wrong please go and prosecute him or else leave the dude alone. The shi t is getting too damn old. Move on Nigeria! |

http://www.naijarules.com/vb/all-music/35233-dr-alban-berates-d-banj-danfo-drivers.htmlNigerians as ever love to measure everything with money. I think Dr Alban needs stars like d'banj more than anything. Dr Alban may be big and much bigger than d'banj, but if you understand how things work, you will realize that Dr Alban needs d'banj to maintain and to reach many others on the other side. It is called, changing with time. d'banj may be making 2 mil naira per show, but the dude is still young and 2 mil naira per show is enough for now, he has time and a complete potential to turn the 2 mil naira per show to 200 mil naira tomorrow. Dr Alban on the other hand doesn't have much time. The possibility of his 80,000 eur per show today turning to 2,000 eur per show tomorrow is much more greater. Therefore, the Dr has no other choice, but to keep on trucking and must also use other up-coming stars (d'banj) to maintain or change with time as much as possible. Or else the Dr will be back at the emergency room. d'banj that I know is a cool dude and very respectful. |
Let's say a little prayer for another human being who is currently fighting for her life. Speedy recovery, Maryam. |
Now, what's next? |
I’m alive, says Maryam Babangida Cover Stories Nov 16, 2009 By Omoh Gabriel http://www.vanguardngr.com/2009/11/16/im-alive-says-maryam-babangida/ LAGOS — Former First Lady, Mrs Maryam Babangida, yesterday said she is alive and kicking. She spoke to Vanguard on phone allaying the fears that she was dead. She said; “I do not know that you people in Vanguard love me this much. Only God gives life and takes it. I am alive, well, I am okay. I don’t know where people got the rumour from.” Former First Lady, Mrs Maryam Babangida She further said: “I am surprised that some people are wishing me dead, I am still alive, I thank Almighty Allah for His mercies and kindness. I will soon join you at home”. Her conversation with Vanguard yesterday put to rest the rumour of her death which had spread like wildfire. She was said to be terminally ill of cancer at the University of California (UCLA) Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles. The rumour mill also said that the former First Lady was undergoing chemotherapy and pain therapy in the intensive care unit of center in the past few days. It was also said that the former military President General Ibrahim Babangida joined his wife a few weeks ago. Last week, General Babangida and his children were even said to have been summoned to Maryam’s bedside as her condition was said to be deteriorating. Mohammed, the first son of Maryam, was said to have returned to Nigeria two nights ago to brief members of the extended family about the condition of his mother in Los Angeles. Maryam Babangida, former First Lady of Nigeria and Chairperson for the Better Life for Rural Woman, remains the toast of Nigerian women even in her advance years. She is one of the most glamorous and most photographed first ladies in Nigeria’s history. Full of zest, she became a recurring decimal in top-rate state and social functions within and outside Nigeria. Mrs. Babangida often brought smiles on the faces of many people particularly because of her sense of style and the glitter she brings to every occasion she attends. Nigeria’s history has it that Mrs. Babangida as wife of Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, who was the nation’s president between 1985 and 1993 started the office of the first lady and went further to add glamour to it. |
I will not be surprised if this lady comes back strong enough to bury all her enemies (the evil wishers). God has a systematical ways of operation. |
Let's hope for the best. |
It has not been confirmed. If you pay attention, you'll see that credible news sources around the world are being very careful and aren't confirming the news. The only cheap site that has posted the confirmation this morning has already been shut down. Let's up for the best. |

@nethacker: Look, it's ok to see this situation differently and definitely fine to voice how you feel. But you do not have to be disrespectful. It is completely unnecessary and doesn't say anything pleasant about your root. Let us all voice our opinions like adults. |
Obviously, you did not catch my point, but it's ok. Ride on, the land belongs to you. |
@Sagamite: May I ask you to let us know your objective in celebrating the death of another human being? What are you or your people will benefit from the death of Maryam Babangida? And finally, please list 5 things this woman has done to you and your family to deserve this incredible treatment from you? Much Respect. |
Rejoicing over anyone's death is the lowest level anyone could go. Even animals do not behave like this. |
African leaders, especially nigerian ones commit crimes against humanity and anybody that sympatises or in mutual accord with them must be of the same feathers with them or fundamentally irrational. This is not true. We all come from different homes, it is ok to handle things differently. A smart man doesn't fight his enemies. |
I was with a very reliable source this morning. I'm waiting to hear back. Life of any human being (poor or rich) is priceless and a gift from God. Let's hope for the best. |
Mate, I am close to perfect and add to the value of most in my life in regards to fairness and justice. My man, go right on, it's your world. |
Everyone of us will die one day, unfortunately, we do not have the choice to pick what kind of death or how we will go one day. It is written down for the poor and the rich. We also do not know how to make life. Life is given and will also will be taken. This is why it is very important for everyone of us to respect life and give glory to God. Let us be very careful, and display maturity and common sense. |
I wish her speedy recovery. |
@Sagamite: I like your attitude towards your enemy and towards life in general, the power of your drive is totally untouchable. I just hope that you're completely a perfect man, because if you're not, the round table that goes around might also come around. |
