What if there is no one in the south in a particular term that could assume the office of the presidencyA very great point |
Rotational presidency is nothing, but a policy that is designed for hopeless groups. May be USA should also follow the same policy: Spanish for 8 yrs, Black for another 8 yrs and 8 yrs for the white too. Very stupid and an easy way to degrade the presidential position. |
Majority does not carry the vote in Nigeria; rigging does. So wee need to adopt something that works for us and rotational presidency so far appears to be one of such thingsAre you telling me that there isn't rigging in rotational presedency? Bros, you're not serious, you must be fooloing around. |
De pilotI will never settle for a VP position, I'm built to be the number 1 man and it'll happen soon. |
I agree. We keep on beating Yaradua, but totally forgot to kick the root of the problem in the nuts. Yaradua was clearly planted or forced into taking the position; not for the sake of Nigeria or Nigerians, but for the selfish agenda of the former president. And I think this is what Nigerians should be talking about. How this must not happen again. One of the reasons why some people in United States did not vote for McCain was because of his age and health record. Voters in United States knew that Sarah Empty as a VP was not ready to hold things down if anything was to happen to McCain as the number 1 man. It is crazy that no one is holding Obasanjo responsible for intentionally forcing a sick man to be our president. |
I am an ardent believer of rotational presidencyI do not think it is an effective policy. We are better off keeping it simple and original, Majority carry the vote. |
My advice is that Jonathan should be careful of where he drinks tea, if you know what I meanlol Luckyman needs miracle to pull this luck through this time around. |
If that is allowed to happen, then, Nigeria is fukced for life, how in the world will a wife replace a president in a democratically set up environment ?How in the world do we allow thieves to continue to lead us? How in the world do we explain why Nigerian politicians are the highest paid politicians in the entire world? Nigeria is the name of my country and anything is possible. |
Here is the blueprint: Yaradua is not going to die, but will be forced by his doctors to step down = Turai will replace her husband for the rest of the 4yr term = Luckyman will simply carry on as the VP = Turai will then set things up for another northerner to take over in 2011. The question Nigerians should now be asking is: who is the next northerner president? And those of you people who are wishing Yaradua to die or to step down should also start thinking about what exactly will happen to this country if your wish comes true. |
Why do we (Nigerians) forget things so quickly? Why are we only blaming Yaradua for not stepping down? Obasanjo still remains the main reason why Nigeria as a nation has to go through this difficult stage. Obasanjo did not care about this country, all because of his selfish motive, Obasanjo went ahead and planted a fragile individual as our president. He knew the man was sick from day 1. In fact, Yaradua had to be rushed to Germany (for medical reasons) at least twice during the 2007 presidential election period. So, why are we only beating up Yaradua? Have we forgotten the root of the problem? And why no-one is holding Obasanjo responsible? |
@paddy_lo: that message was not for you, therefore, it's ok if you didn't get |
They wish Yaradua dead to finally have a president from the south. |
But do u blame the people for the rumour?I do not blame anybody, but it is never the right thing to spread baseless rumors. It is very low |
You support someone who has indirectly led to the death of thousands of children in Nigeria because of his inactivity. He is indirectly a murderer because of his indecision and selfishness - is that not enough reason to be offensive? My man, go right on. |
this obviously is an issue that is supppposed to evoke the serious side of people for once cos a dead president is wat we cant afford ryt now, that is if he IS dead for real, but seriously think about it,,,, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!!! a coup, a first lady takeover, senate president,(not with the current legislative fiasco), obasanjo, anybody, me, guys please lets try to confirm this shit before it hits the fan at least we'll avoid getting splashedI wish our president the best and speedy recovery, but if anything goes down, I can not wait to see his replacement and also to witness how long it will take the same fools (that are wishing for Yaradua to die) to start crying and complaining about the same sh it. Nigerians is what they call my people. |
@debosky: Is there any reason why you continue to be offensive? Is it really necessary? |
So, wishing Yaradua to die or spreading baseless rumors that the man is dead is the solution to our problems in Nigeria? If this is your dream, I am very sorry for you people. |
@Cyber: For your own sake, don't waste your time, trust me. You will be too foolish to try to call me out, trust me bros. |
This is my crime: 1. President Yaradua just like any other human being deserves a break 2. Spreading baseless rumors that our president is dead is never the right thing to do, regardless of your position 3. President Yaradua as a sick president is an inspirational human being that gives hope to others. |
@Chosen04: Relax yourself. My point is very simple: President Yaradua is ill, but not dead. Whether your people call for press conference or not, that is another story. This is Nigeria, things are not always done accordingly. |
Depilot is now very popular, this is starting to be fun |
@CyberG: You did not write me, you wrote daddy. |
The man will be back home shortly, stronger than ever. Our president could be president Jesus and I guarantee you that hopeless Nigerians would still be crying. |
@poster don't let people start throwing E-curse. ![]() |
@Cyberg: Where is your Daddy? |
Nothing wrong with being sick, but if you are so selfish that you allow your sickness drag over 140million people into the doldrums then you are a huge liability. Yar'adua should resign and go treat himself and stop wasting Nigeria's time. You have a point there, but it's still not pleasant to start embracing or spreading baseless rumors that the president of our great nation is dead. |
How come there has been no official pronouncement from the government quarters to deny or confirm this rumour? We are talking about the President of the country and not an ex 1st lady here. This rumour has been out more for than 6 hours and there has been no official pronouncement.I totally agree with you, but we must understand that this is also Nigeria (we do not do everything accordingly). I am sure that they have their reasons for being very careful before pulling the trigger. From my understanding; president Yaradua is always very private when it comes to his health issue or record. It is possible that this is the instructions he gave his officials before leaving for Saudi Arabia. And as long as he's alive, his instructions come first. |
@Chosen04: That information is nothing but the honest truth, from a very very reliable source. |
@puskin: Not a politician and never plan to be one. |
Dude, you didn't answer my questions |
Point! |
In fact, it has been confirmed that the man is ill, but strong and alive. There will be press conference very soon (hopefully before the end of the day) addressing the nation. |
