It's OK to say what ever you want to say, it is your world; but remember that tomorrow is not promised to anyone of us. We must be careful, slow down and allow God to judge us. This lady may even live longer than those people who have chosen to celebrate this horrible news. 140,000000 wrongs do not make a right; even animals do not behave like this. |
Yes, I do. |
You can not return to face all allegations against you, but you want to come back to Nigeria to continue to fight corruption. What the hell does this foolish man think we (Nigerians) are? Ribadu, if your mama born you well, return back to Nigeria! I assure you that you will be caged like a sick chicken. When I see that name "RIBADU", I see a coward, a thief, a hypocrite, an attention seeker, a power hungry, a fool, a misinformed villager, a confused man, an enemy of Nigeria, a worthless man, and a frustrated fraudster. I don't respect a man that can not stand like a man. If I ever come across this man, either in Liberia, Nigeria, UK or USA, I will slap his brain out of his head. You will hear about it. |
Definitely, another way to steal. We do not keep record in Nigeria, we hate record, therefore, this should not be allowed. EFCC is not a collection agency, it's a government institution (non profit organization) put in place to fight corruption. If they need more money to get their job done correctly, let them put in a proposal for budget increase. Taking 10% of money recovered is a great method to steal and smile; an incredible home run. It should never be allowed. |
Word on the street: That is the right thing to do. Return the bank back to Dr Mike Adenuga Jnr. This is one man I will forever live to admire. Dr Adenuga is an inspiration to every african who want earn a living through creative thinking and diligence. He is the most respected entrepreneur in Africa. Dr Adenuga is very efficient, thorough, consistent, meticulous is every thing he does. I\'m writing from Ghana and every body here is afraid of Glo even though it has not started operations. The fear is that when glo takes off, all the other telecom companies will have to take cover. At least for one, let Nigerians be fair and just by allowing someone who is doing his legitimate business, creating opportunities and employing young people the freedom to do his business without any intimidation. Congrats sir and more grease to your elbow Otunba Mike, once again, the system has tried to smear your good image. When you didnt support the failed 3rd term project, your kins man used Mallam Ribadu to chase you to Ghana. Now, they want to use another Mallam, but under this government, we follow the rule of law. Not the law of Obasanjo. l told a friend when they \"tookover\" your bank that you will head to the World Court. d bull is back, i trust you and your business acumen, keep the flag flying, u r a pure nationalist, kudus Honestly, i have always known that the only reason why ETB was in the CBN\'s \"black book\" was just because of it sole ownerhip structure. Though, the move to restore the Bank back to Otunba Adenuga should be applauded, i still think the apex should be scolded so as not to discourage honest nigerians like the Otunba from investing the nigerian economy. I think Otunba showed tremendous courage to inject fund into his business rather than engage in war of words. And the action proposed by CBN goes to show that if other can do the same, the ownership or majority equity of the banks would be returned to the owners. So far both parties are doing the right thing well Adenuga has demostrated that he is truly professional and has shown to the world that he has what it takes to be a business mongul.God bless him for helping this our country because he is employer of labour.Mr sanusi that he should have verified all his claims before he announces that etb is among the distress bank.Once again kudos to MIKE ADENUGA. I have tremendous respect for Otunba Mike Adenuga. He has shown severally that he is a respectable business man. Rising above acrimony to conduct his businesses. Shame on CBN for trying to make a public show of Otunba and ETB, only to reverse themselves. If the CBN had called him for a meeting before making their pronouncement, he could have saved them the embarrasment. Kudos Otunba. Carry go! |
Have you guys noticed that any topic on Mike Adenuga posted on Nairaland is deleted immediately. I guess we (nairaland) are trying to win Glo contract. Let's see how long this one would last. Mike Adenuga aka: the BULL is an icon. We all can learn a lot from any topic on this incredible Nigerian. Therefore, Nairaland please leave the topic alone. Mike is already made, there is nothing any member could say or post on this individual that will touch him in any way. Like Mike, I want to be like Mike Figure 1-1 |
There is no standard process or protol to anything. |
The problem here is Nigerians are not sincere enough to our country. How can we move this country forward when we still have people who are in-love with corrupt fake leaders? Instead of falling in love with our country, some Nigerians are busy worshipping Ribadu. Ribadu and his family are financially set for many years; so, let us all keep sleeping and fooling ourselves simultaneously. I just feel bad for this country. |
Ribadu doesn't deserve any credit http://www.tribune.com.ng/02112009/news/news8.html The former anti-graft boss was reported to have said Chief George’s conviction, along with four others, was the result of the efforts of the EFCC under his leadership. But the ANPP has rejected that assertion, saying, in a statement signed by its national publicity secretary, Mr. Emma Eneukwu and made available to the media in Abuja, on Sunday, that Mallam Ribadu could not take the glory of the legal victory that he did everything to scuttle, as EFCC boss. The statement posited that the same case demonstrated the double standards applied by the former EFCC boss in the fight against corruption, as he allegedly operated according to the whims and caprices of former President Olusegun Obasanjo and “protected government’s friends while hounding its perceived enemies.” The ANPP wondered whether Mallam Ribadu had forgotten so soon, that after his investigation indicted George, he was made a member of a presidential administrative panel that returned a verdict of innocence on the former NPA boss. |
Very deep indeed. |
The question we should be asking is: Did Ribadu ask Ibori to help him score the IGP position? |
Yes, they arrested Ibori after Dr.Ribadu finally realized that the IGP position was not coming his way. do you get? |
@aisha: If you're a Nigerian and from Nigeria, you will realize that IMMEDIATELY means nothing in this country. We want the time frame. |
From what I've heard, I honestly think Ribadu collected the bribe for himself, but changed his mind at the last minutes (I guess, after he realized certain things). This is why the time frame is very important. This is also why Ribadu can not afford to stand trial in Nigeria, it's just too much for him to handle at this time. |
Before we start giving any standing ovation to Ribadu, we should ask 3 questions: 1. When was the bribe (money) collected? 2. When was the bribe (money) deposited or transferred to CBN? 3. When was the bribery allegation reported? 4. If the bribe (in cash) was collected for evidence, where is the video tape of the bribe transaction? The time frame between question#1 and #3 should not be more than a week to 2 weeks. Anything more than 2 weeks is not acceptable. And if the bribe was truly collected as an evidence, there must be a video tape. Anything less will not be acceptable. |
A corrupt cop condemning a gangland mafia boss? What else can i say?Spot on,this is the most intelligent post in this thread, please tell them oh |
Ribadu should be castrated for having any reaction toward Bode George's sentencing, he should be ashamed of himself. |
Ok, I'm not sure if I completely understand your post, but I'll try to answer you. Ribadu had the best security around him, he had access to money, and he was given unlimited power. Now what else was left? Given all the things Ribadu had to himself during his time, I honestly do not see any big deal in getting the job done correctly and I do not think he's special at all. Even a blind man could have handled the position much better with all that power. People like late GANI FAWEHINMI and late KEN SARO-WIWA did not have access to anything but fought like troopers. They did not care about nothing, all they wanted was justice and the rebirth of this nation. On the other hand, Mr. Ribadu was power hungry, was selfish, was stupid, was corrupt, was very unprofessional and clearly unorganized. |
Nonsense!!!!!I agree. |
debosky darlin:If I ever come across Ribadu at anytime at anywhere, he'll be getting a dirty slap from me and you guys will hear about it. Mark it down. |
Ribadu cares about nothing but himself (his selfish ambition). Power hungry fool! The dude has no shame. His EFCC couldn't complete a single case. His EFCC rushed to Dubai to yank Alam out of his sick bed only to release him in less than a week. His EFCC saw nothing wrong with Bode George, Chris Uba, Adedibu, Iyabo Obasanjo, Gbenga Obasanjo, Segun Obasanjo, Fani Kayode, Aborishade, Nigerian Banking sector, Christopher Akala and many others. He went out of his way to protect these common thieves during his time. If I ever come across Ribadu (either in London, Yankee, Dubai, Liberia or Nigeria) I will slap the shit out of his dull brain. The fool needs to be castrated for being brave enough to comment on Bode George's case. If you give me just 5 minutes with this fool, I will fck him up with my hands. Shakurari! |
About time for us to see justice in this country; Bode George stood like a man and got convicted. I think this is fair enough. On the other hand, Mr Ribadu who still happens to be on the run is now talking shit. This same Bode George was one of the people Ribadu protected during his time as the chairman of EFCC. This hypocrite needs to shut his face and remain disappeared till he's man enough and ready to defend himself and his record in the court of law, just like the rest of Nigerians. |
He was removed because: his bank did not give enough loans to the public, he had too much power, the bank did not follow CBN protocols. 1. If 80% of the money in my bank belongs to me, doesn't it make sense if I'm a little bit hesitant when it comes to giving loans to the public; especially in a country where a citizen is able to have up to 6 international passports with different names? Look at what happened to those bad loans given to the public? 2. If 80% of the money in my bank belongs to me, doesn't it make sense if I control daily activities in my bank? 3. What exactly are the protocols of CBN and when was the last time anyone in this country (include you and myself) follows any protocols? |
They took away the bank only to return it back to this man in less than 3 wks. What a senseless and ridiculous move. Why was he removed in the first place? What happened to following the appropriate steps before pulling the trigger? Instead of quickly concluding to sack the man without clearly understanding what was on the ground, why didn't they suspend him till all stones had been turned? I think CBN has taken away their integrity for making this unnecessary mistake. |
It came out last week that both Rufai and Ribadu have been denied passport renewals by FGN. What do you think about this decision? Do you think it's the right decision or another senseless action of the federal government of Nigeria? |
As much as what was written is not too far from the truth, the post should be labelled as a pure hoax. Leaders just do not publicly call each out like this post or letter has suggested. We do not need a cheap comedian fooling around here. If you can not submit the accurate source of this letter, you should please go to hell. |
What was that? What has muscle got to do with the issue on ground?Good for you. |
Afam: When are you going to finally realize that it doesn't require muscle to mostly get things done correctly? |
In everything. |
@mikeansy: Do you honestly think Ribadu's action so far has been effective? |
