Career / Re: Ways You Can Avoid Being Used By Selfish Nigerian Employers by Desmondum: 7:11am On Apr 06
justmi1:
It is a 2 edged sword. I have worked as an employee, as a manager and now I run my business with about 40 workers. I can tell you an employee would feel used by his boss until he starts his own business and employ people. Most workers don't care about your business just as you feel employers over use thier staff. As for me I identify people that take my business seriously and prioritise them. The matter long, you need to have experienced both to understand better.
But most times when you (employers) see people that put in their all for your work, you neglect them and go for lazy people with high "eye-service skill", because you believe they're smarter.

God never disappoints anyway, 'cause these eye service skilled folks end up messing everything up in your business. This happens more than what you can imagine in Africa, esp in Nigeria.

An average Nigeria employer believes badass makes a good leader.

with due respect sir saying "the person that will guarantee your appointment at nnpc may do it only just maybe because as a Christian you greeted him or her with Asalamualaikum" is an insult to every non-Muslim on this forum. Nigeria belongs to all of us and anybody can get any job anywhere anytime if it pleases God(Allah) to bless him or her without necessarily having to greet a person of another faith in their way. If as a Muslim someone tells u the person that will guarantee ur job in a federal agency may do so only bcoz u greeted him "the peace of Christ be with u" I hope u know how it feels. Plz let us in every possible way avoid statements that divide us along religious and ethnic lines.
In as much as I agree with the bolded, I will also want you to know that condemning someone for reminding his brethren to sow seed in their place of worship or religious learning "Islamiyah" is a huge insult to all Muslims on this thread, that was a statement or reminder with no harm. You guys need to stop being selfish and stop starting unnecessary quarrel.

The person that caused all these ( Assuming she didn't know what Islamiyah meant initially) truly should apologize to Muslims here after being aware, no one is mandating her. Just what courtesy demands.

How would you feel if someone said such thing she said just by any other Christian here reminding another about tithe in church?

What's it with Nigerians FGS?

This is a public forum not Arewa or Muslim forum.. Make una take am easy with the religion thing.
It's just like someone reminding you to pay your tithe or offering in the church. If you don't know something, ask questions. Don't turn this place to a war zone please.

Is it only islamiyah that is here? Nawa ooo
Islamiyah is where people learn Arabic and Islamic culture not a person's name in this context... I grabbed that when I was serving in the north.

At least you pay tithe to the church too, let him donate to Islamiyah.

Asking on someone's behalf, is it possible for a person who has not completed nysc to be in recruitment list of a top agency and resume after service.
Note: He has strong internal connection in the agency
1000% possible. Happened to a friend back then when we were serving.

Health / Re: Stop Using Tissue Paper To Wipe Your Nyash After Poo, Always Use Water . by Desmondum: 12:52pm On Mar 12

Wrong advise

Soap is injurious to anus

Water with Dettol is good, that's what I use even while on trip

You can only use tissue to wipe water off your ass
Can't say about being injurious, all I know is It may cause irritation to some sensitive people. However, in as much you are not deeping it inside and you are not pooing 10 times daily. Mild soap and water is cool.

If we wash that part while bathing, y not when we poop?

Don't mind that person. As if you'll not even wash the hands after everything. If only they know the amount of germs they carry around using tissue alone, they won't be saying such. Very dirty people....Yuck.

Even with this, you still need your hand to wash your buttcrack and your anus properly while spraying with the hand held bidet

My bro, I"m telling you....bidet remains what seems to be one of the minor technologies oyinbo still gets wrong till today. I don't know how you'll say you feel comfortable after washing with bidet. Bidet!!!!

Both handheld and the one that has seat....None works perfectly without using hand

Food / Re: See The Bread I Bought For N1400 by Desmondum: 9:10am On Mar 07
I fully understand now, there's no need for argument.

However, you may need to read about "Butterfly effect on inflation" either in finance or economics.
Regards
dominique:

Any bakery in Lagos that sells 250g of plain bread for N1400 where there are gazillions of other options will run down on the long run. That things have gotten more expensive doesn't mean you must to hike the prices of your goods anyhow. Bad government policies aside, the bakery is plain greedy and that's what most manufacturers and sellers are doing, using current situation to overhike the prices of their goods. By the time purchasing power drops astronomically, we'll see who will lose on the long run.

I find it hard to believe this. Jendol bread wey carry weight is N1,200. You people should stop over inflating the stuff you buy before you go and give sellers twisted ideas to hike the prices of their goods
Don't worry Dominique, by the time this government is done with us all, you'll know who's lying and who's over inflating price.

Your colleague/mod that pushed this topic to FP knows the worth of that bread, that's why the person pushed the topic.

I wanted to order this same bread few weeks ago with few other stuff but I didn't later include it after seeing the price, did another that's not crunchies. See the image I attach below, if Op is lying, am I lying too? I intentionally digged this out for you.

Note, the only difference between the two bread is one is sliced and the other is not, they are same size. This isn't the updated price on the site, you can call now and they tell you it's 1500.

They don't care about the masses, once it favours those up there, that's all. End sars casualty has caused fear in Nigerians and that's their plan. But at the end, folks will still be left with no option than to revolt and it's definitely going to be a tough one.

Phones / Re: Why SIM Cards Linked With NIN Are Being Barred - NCC by Desmondum: 4:26pm On Jan 23
Nothing to understand Mr Lukman. How many times have you seen US frustrating its citizen because of their SSN?

Must we pass through hell in this country at all times?
If they were not competent to curb the duplicate registration why did they stress us to link to NIN in the first place?

Did they swear for us not to ever get anything right in this country? Very incompetent adults @ NCC
