Quite touching how so little means so much to these kids. Who probably hardly get anything for free usually.

We in Africa are only just beginning to realise the power & impact of charity. It does not take much to make impact if we all try to joins hands.

The psychological impact is massive. To know that there are people out there, who do not know you from anywhere but still ready to assist & encourage.

Too often we intend to give but soon forget to actualise it. I'm guilty of that too.
Thank you for this post!

You can see in my interview one of the teachers, Apostle Paul, that he emphasized the need for bank saving accounts for the school pupils such that the parents can continually save money into these accounts so as to provide a better way of securing the children’s education for the future!

I expect one of our financial institutions to come up to support these children. They crave the education, they want to learn! A little from some of that ‘THIRD QUARTER PROFITS’ declared would not hurt your shareholders, would it?

Listen to what Timilehin said carefully, scholarships for children will be an awesome endeavor on the part of brands!

These children need a secure future! Education is key and priority! Support them! It is very important!

Remember! One step to collective environment prosperity can change the whole world!

========================================================================

As we go about our 'hustle' for financial fulfillment, let us remember that there are some people who do not have the capabilities we possess and so are limited within their means.

Our collective responsibility is to help them! I may not be able to give them the whole world! But I will always ensure that I use my tool 'PHOTOGRAPHY' to project these places to the world to the world, not just told build up hype but to get help and assistance for them.

Bloggers should always use the tool they have to enhance Corporate Social Responsibility online and offline, just as I did now on Nairaland.

I AM WAITING ON THE BANKS FOR THEIR SUPPORT!!....IF YOU KNOW ANY BANK THAT CAN HELP THESE CHILDREN DO NOT HESITATE TO PASS THIS INFORMATION ACROSS PLEASE!

EDUCATION IS A LEGACY!!!

For some of us with kind hearts to give and support the less privileged, we may not have enough money to provide the needed support to cause a turnaround, but we may have the right tool to influence those with the capabilities to do a turn around, let us put these tools and skills to use, and trust me, together we will build a better society!

I leave you to the pictures below, and the video of my interview with the teachers and extremely smart Timilehin presently in JSS2 who could not hid her excitement at the amazing turnaround her school undergone, she came to celebrate with the school where she graduated and I was visibly emotional when I interviewed her. Truly Inspiring!

Stignyte Foundation saw my Documentary pictures of the Makoko story on Instagram and decided to contact me to be a part of their Social Corporate Responsibility: Renovating a Primary School in the Makoko Community.

If you have not seen my Makoko documentary photojourney, you can read about it here:

https://www.nairaland.com/3354563/amazing-photo-journey-into-makoko

The privilege to embark on this journey again got the better of me and I immediately said yes to join them.

We arrived at Makoko that beautiful Saturday morning and I had the privilege of taking pictures of the newly renovated primary school.

From all my experiences in these visits, I realized that we need to continually reflect on the little power or influence we have especially on social media to affect people and community positively, and thankfully I was privileged to be a part of this awesome achievement.

wrong, it's not part bro, its the major problem and cause, people won't just reason with their brain cells, the poor gives birth to kids, kids, more kids and you'd see the rich with just 2-3, I always thought this trait is stereotyped to the illiterates only, until I encountered some educated guys who can barely feed themselves, go down this same lane!! why give birth to kids you can't cater for? why get married when you can't run a family yet? why start up that project that'l drain your last cent!! people just don't draw a preference scale before they take some decisions, I loathe parents in this category.
I love this point so much!

Part of the reason for my documentary photography is to provide enlightenment for all these parents. They should be advised on the implications of not putting their manhood in check when they are hustling!... These kids will just come to the world to suffer.

That said, I think you and I can still play a part in assisting as much as we can.

I’ll start:

1. I have travelled a 7 hour journey in the midnight 3 times to be with her when she was in the University. It was risky and there were a lot of potholes on the road, yet I did it and I loved it! Crazy, No?

2. She kept breaking my heart and I kept going back to her! Why? I don’t know. I went back to her like three times and she shattered an already shattered heart the whole time!

3. Sold my brother’s phone to buy her a new phone!

4. I was changing myself for her; she doesn’t like a chubby guy and so I would wake in the morning, around 4 am and jog for 3 hours. I was not allowed to have female friends, only males. I will only eat the greens while she gobbles down the red meat and all the carbs! That year!!

5. All the girls are my friends on Facebook/Nairaland and are apparently reading this post! LMAO!

Join in the fun, Drop your comments below. Mention those crazy things you’ve done for love?

Thanks @ op. Sex is not a prerequisite for love... I just wish we can start all over from the beginning, when all these things were not acceptable... and when done, done in secret and left there. Now we celebrate "Baby mama and Baby dada" angry

We ladies should stop putting ourselves in situations where we "just" have to compomise. The men also should learn to appreciate a lady's decision.

#Gracias
Believe me ma'am....It is very true we hope for things to go back to the way they were, but it is really difficult now. People celebrate sex as if it is a must in every relationship. But then, I believe sex must not be pressured, it must be consensual. While I would not preach total abstinence, I would say in a world of ours, we need to thread delicately in issues bothering on sex and the need for it to be consensual and not pressured!

Thanks a lot for your comment!

RomanceSex Is Important, But.............................................. by deturla(op):
Sex is important in a relationship, sex makes a relationship fun and exciting. Sex creates a romantic bond between two people, sex is beautiful. It speaks even without any word being spoken, it is magical. I can go on and on regarding sex but…..

Sex shouldn’t be a prerequisite to a relationship. It has become so crazy lately that what most guys look for in a relationship is sex, whether the lady is sexually active or not. Sometimes I ask a lot of guys to justify the reasonability of their decisions when they clamor for outright sex and they claim that sex shows a sense of devotion and intimacy between parties involved in ‘Roman’Dating’.

I am particularly concerned in this world now where almost everyone think the main crux of a relationship is sex. Where what is expected of a lady is to have sex with her partner at will and same is even expected of men too. It is so bad and heart wrenching.

I personally believe there are and can be sex free relationships irrespective of the pressure evidenced all around us. It is wrong for a guy to think it is his right to be sexually served by his girlfriend or the girl believe she is so very active that she needs to have sex every other day

Gone are the days when most people stand on their principle of no sex till marriage but now, ‘who celibacy epp’ is the latest jingle on everyone’s lips. The most annoying thing is when one partner breaks up because the other party refuses to indulge in premarital sex or worse still check for sexual compatibility.

Sex is good, trust me, but it leads to a lot of complications when it is not done at the right time. Sex should be consensual, not enforced. You need to understand what your partner wants and be ready to give it a go when he/she is ready or when not

Romance5 Lessons Learned From The Divorce Of Anjelina Jolie And Brad Pitt by deturla(op): 5:09pm On Sep 29, 2016
Gossip, entertainment and celebrity websites have not remained the same ever since the story broke of Branjelina’s divorce. Hollywood shook as well, and there were a few tears, here and there. Even Pulse.ng in their recent post mentioned idolization! Ido’ Wha?

This is not the first time we have heard of celebrity feuds and divorce cases, however there is something so catchy and different about ‘Branjelina’, that I needed to do analyse the whole situation.

If you ask me, Celebrity divorces are not stopping anytime soon, trust me. From what we see every day in the tune of show off to various despicable things done on the internet, It would suffice to say that we await more divorce cases. However, the earlier we look into the mistakes these celebrities make, the better for ourselves and our future!

Here are the five lessons I have learned from the divorce of Anjelina and Brad!

1. No one is Perfect!

Tiger Woods quote on his divorce in 2010;

“I kept saying, ‘I failed!’ Admitting that I’m not perfect was a wonderful thing that came out of this. There’s this fear that everyone is going to be disappointed in you, but I’m human. I don’t live up to any sort of ideal.”

Remember you are not perfect, prone to mistakes and certainly vulnerable whether you are a celebrity or even an unknown. The earlier you realise that you are not above the law of love and that things that was built up beautifully can degenerate so dangerously to the point of divorce, the better for you handling your marriage properly and appropriately. Even in the face of daunting challenges, you always realise you are not perfect so you can stay through and stand strong!

Acknowledge the fact that your partner is not perfect, and forgiving becomes easier!

I am sure at some point, in the relationship, there would be moments where forgiveness would come in either for the sake of their status across the world or for that of their family, but then someone somewhere just wants to be off finally regardless of the reputation issue the divorce would lead to! Hmmmn!!

2. Heartbreaks here, Hurt and Disappointment there!

Most divorce don’t end in happiness. Whether you tussle over finance or even the kids, some other issues pop up just around the corner and some parties involved end up getting hurt.

Even if both adults are glad that they are finally tired of putting up with themselves. What about the tripling effect on family and friends. Even if families and friends don’t want them together, how about the children; what they would go through, how they would deal with the impact! The hurt, the life lessons, the confusion. What happens to their lives going forward?

Divorce leaves so much more to be desired, rather than us basking in the euphoria the social media frenzy has caused! The cascading effect creates a deeper vacuum then thought about!

3. KARMA is real

Whatever you do, always learn and know there is a repercussion/side effect and impact. Whichever school of thought you belong to; Atheist, Christian, Muslim or whatever your religious tenets are. You do bad and expect to go Scot free? Karma is lurking around the corner!

You don’t believe me? Check out ‘BRANJELINA” and be subdued!

4. Celebrity status comes with a price

Expect to have people come for you, no matter how beautiful, handsome, popular you are. Nobody is ready to listen to the fact that you are human too, and only attained the celebrity status as a result of your skill or art. The internet never forgives they say.

If you are a celebrity, expect bashing when things go wrong for you. Expect a lot of it, I tell you! Be very careful when making decisions about marriage, and always learn to keep your marriage in the secret. Everyone wants to be associated with a celebrity, but when things go wrong, the social media will go crazy! Market must Sell!

5. There is more to all the show-offs!

A lot of celebrities marriages I know are so full of unwanted and unreasonable show offs! You will wake up early in the morning and then mouth marriage/ wedding prayers like

‘Oh Lawd, I wish my wedding was like that of Branjelina!’

Hey Sweetie! Be careful what you wish for!

While it could be reasonable to have celebs you look up to in terms of their skills and art. Do not ever pray to have their kind of marriages. Heaven knows what they go through and what they come out to portray! A lot of celebrities in Nigeria for instance portray exciting family and household togetherness on the outside whereas they go through a lot worse behind the camera!

Marriage is all about hard-work, trust me! It goes into understanding your partner and being ready to work things through from top to bottom!

I will end with final words from lifehacks.org

Divorce is a life changing and traumatic situation and one that should only be undertaken once ALL avenues to having a successful marriage have been fully exhausted. I believe all marriages, except those involving abuse or repeated infidelity, can be fixed and would encourage anyone thinking about divorce to reach out to a qualified professional to help save their marriage.

RomanceRe: From Tutorial To Proposal: Amazing Love Story Of Pastor Sam And Beautiful ‘tola by deturla(op): 12:34pm On Sep 25, 2016
RomanceFrom Tutorial To Proposal: Amazing Love Story Of Pastor Sam And Beautiful ‘tola by deturla(op): 8:29am On Sep 25, 2016
Who says University love don’t last and do not culminate into marital bliss. Who even said that it is all about infatuation and youthful exuberance. Most people believe that marriage is a decision that ought to be handled by oneself without the support of an overseeing being – God. This amazing story of Sam and Jokotola will inspire you beyond doubts. An amazing love story of 6 years and 6 months commenced from a course tutorial in the early days of the University to eventually culminate to a wedding proposal, and all roads will lead to a wedding ceremony on the 30th September and 1st October 2016. Splufic!

In D’banj’s voice ‘Don’t get it twisted, Love is indeed a beautiful thing.

Was it worth the wait? You would be blown away!

An immensely excited Sam started by saying:

I met her at the in FUTA, she was in for her Pre-degree program and I was in my freshman year. I was one of the leaders in the campus fellowship we belonged to in back then.

As a fresh student on campus, a lady friend was helping her to get to the fellowship secretariat for the free tutorial we run, it was in that process we met and she was introduced to me by that lady friend.

He continued:

I just had this instant connection with her, as a christian, I didn’t really give it much of a thought in the line of relationship, I just felt it could be that I have a major role to play in her life while on campus.

‘Tola who fell in love with a man that was all over her stated explicitly

I just liked the fact that he was willing to help. Although I won’t deny the fact that I liked his personalty.

Hmmmn…..Love is such a beautiful thing!

The love story of Sam and Jokotola wasn’t a situation of love at first meet and Sam affirmed this in his words:

I won’t call it love at first sight, but over time it grew, especially when I prayed about it and I had peace in my heart.

Beautiful ‘Tola was hit heads on by Sam’s amazing mentor-ship skills and smart dress sense:

The thing is, he became a mentor, a dear friend and that point I couldn’t resist the likeness that had grown. I prayed about him and I had peace in my heart about him. I won’t say it was love at first sight, but to be very sincere, from that first time in Sept 2006, we knew there was something.

Jokotola is a fine girl like that, and Sam was quick to confirm this fact:

Yay, Jokotola is one fine girl, I remember after her Pre-degree program and I was up assisting her in the whole registration process, at that time I was in my sophomore year. I just couldn’t keep my eyes off her; her sincerity, simplicity and character all put together made a blend of attraction.

That blend of life…LOL!!

‘Tola loved everything Sam and a man of God with that kind of effect on a pretty lady won’t stay so long before the lovey dovey sets. It was all set like the scenes of a movie:

I liked his dedication to God, his commitment to people, and his passion to see me be the best I can be. Sam’s dress sense melts my heart. His fashion sense, deodorants, most importantly his sincerity and confidence about his future.

Ordinarily you would expect a jump at saying ‘YES’ when a question like, will you be the woman of my life pops up. However, ‘Tola was ready to give Sam a run for his money in the dating game, and she spared no blushes in making this happen:

Okay, so, he asked me out in 2010, after the semester’s exams and I couldn’t believe it, I was so excited even though I already saw it coming. I waited three weeks before giving him ‘the’ answer.

I answered yes, because I had prayed about him, and I already knew about what the nature of our relationship was going to end up as from things I got in my spirit. He was the man for me, I love him and I was so excited about his advances.

Whether it started as a jolly ride or nah, it would be bumpy at some point or the other and this was confirmed by the love birds:

Definitely, plenty…. we had loads of issues, misunderstandings and the likes. We have a resolve in our relationship, It doesn’t matter the issue, it doesn’t matter the fight, break up is not an option. We dated for six years excluding the friendship years. We understand God brought us together, but we must learn to accept our differences and know how to effectively handle ourselves right.

Infact, there were times that we didn’t talk to each others for days, but then, we still had to end the fight.

Sam and Tola were all for the excitement as it was evident in their enthusiastic banters:

Tola in her highly ecstatic mood:

To be sincere, Sam’s heart for God excites me, he’s a man of broad knowledge, intelligent. He taught me almost everything I know today asides from the ones I learnt in school and at my parents. He mentors me, he is handsome, and I just love all these qualities.

tutorial-proposal-amazing-love-story-pastor-sam-beautiful-tola

Sam was all for the qualities as well, and he spared all rod to spoil Tola:

The same qualities that got me hooked to her still gets me excited about her. Love for God, Character, simplicity and beauty.

Being a young man with full potentials and a future set on marble, Sam was however careful not to allow the adrenaline rush choose the time to propose:

I knew it was the right time that moment when I felt convinced beyond every reasonable and unreasonable doubts that she is the one. I wanted to take her home to my parents and I wanted to meet her parents, it was just time to take it much more serious.

A visibly exhilarated Jokotola said YES because

…..of the peace and the release I have in my heart, I had taken out time to pray and talked to my pastors, we all have the conviction that he’s the one.

Sam and ‘Tola finally had this to say to all intending, prospective and engaged love birds:

Love is a DECISION to ALWAYS standby, protect, provide (give), defend and to show affection towards each others regardless of the reality or circumstances on ground.

DON’T JUST GO INTO A RELATIONSHIP BECAUSE THE GUY IS RICH OR THE GIRL IS FINE pray about the person first, know him/her to an extent (run background search).

For those already in, stick to yourselves, no matter the hurdle.

It’s not yet “for better for worse”, but then, if you are not willing to make it work why then did you get in in the first place?
GET YOUR MOTIVE RIGHT, your motives creates your realities.

I am inspired already and it was worth the wait! What about you? Happy married Life Sam and ‘Tola. God bless your home!

She caught you with another babe? Bad Guy! You felt like a badass?

Two weeks after you realize that you miss her more than you envisaged; more than the lady she caught you with. You are now back to your senses and have realized that, she means a lot to you than you can ever imagine!

You believe you have left it a little too late! Hmmmn! Well, Better late then never in getting your woman back. It is very key to measure your words, since she might still be sad and angry with you; for breaching her trust and loyalty. Here, it is most important that before you try to see her face to face you can decide to send messages to her mobile; text, chat as the case is.

I have pulled together 5 messages that would make her melt in forgiveness because she really loves you to. You need to be sure that she is still hurting, you need to check the timing. Ladies prefer messages in the evening, before dinner, or when they are about to go to bed! One of this either works for your woman.

Before you type in words the words, ask yourself, do you really want her back? The conviction of your self-realization would add more spice to your intent.

Here are the 5 messages that would make your heart broken girlfriend forgive you.

1. I don’t have excuses for what I have done! I feel so ashamed that I would do this to you. I am sorry

A lady appreciates responsibility and accountability. Own up to your actions and don’t make excuses. This is very important as excuses will make you come off as proud and that you would still do same again. Try to let her know you were responsible for your actions and that no matter her punishment, you would deal, since you deserve it.

2. I think about you every single day, and the thoughts leaves a beautiful smile on my face. Please forgive my imperfections, as I am simply human.

You need to make her realize that you remember her every single day since this incident occurred. A girl you sincerely love should be in your thoughts, regardless of the number of girls you’ve been with. She may be mad at you but trust me, she would read the text/chat again and again because she misses you but she feels hurt!

3. I know you are very angry with me right now, but I just want you to know that I would love you forever!

This could either do two things, make her more angry, or get her to calm down. In the middle of all these, she would look at you as someone who intends to walk through this process and forgive you. It is important that you follow this message up with a call.

4. I know I have put a crack in your heart, it is difficult to come away with this, because I overlooked your happiness selfishly for mine only to realize my happiness lies in you. Please forgive me

Ladies want to hear all words of happiness, do not hesitate in making her realize that you need her to be happy so that you would be happy as well. Ladies also love it when they realize what impact they have made in your relationship. Give it a Go!

5. I cannot do this alone, let us walk through this together! Help me, I feel so terrible. I need you!

Ladies love a sense of responsibility, they want to show that they care as well. They may feel bad but then certain words like this would calm them down to a reasonable extent. You should follow this up with either a call or a checkup at her apartment.

Ensure that you are really sure you want her forgiveness, invest time in crafting out the message. You can add more lines, but make sure you follow the explanations below the messages. Be sincere and creative with your use of words, and your woman would be back to you in no time.
