naptu2: The best way to attract new followers, keep your present followers committed to you and make them forget your misdeeds is to create a common enemy and make them hate that enemy. Once you've created that atmosphere of hatred, your followers will support you no matter what you do. They will hate the common enemy, no matter what he does.
am sure this is there plan. Believe me they took those boys in to brainwash then cos I don't someone whom has tasted Christianity can convert to Islam except d person has been brainwashed and doomed

plaetton: Remorseful?
Big laugh. Would you not be if you were caught red handed?
Are armed robbers not remorseful when they are caught?
C'mon man.
The problem with we Africans, perhaps especially Nigerians, is the we always put sentiments where they do not belong.
We always put the square peg in the round hole.
For a woman to commit adultery requires long serious forethought. Before a woman contemplates such actions, she has to mentally damn her husband and convince herself that her husband deserved the damnation and humiliation.
Secondly, by the time the husband had discovered, she would have been doing it for a very long time.
Thirdly, once a cheater, always a cheater.
Fourth, if you ever ever forgive a cheating wife, you are forever doomed.
You will drop to minus zero in her eyes.
You would have given her all the powers she only dreamed of. She will completely emasculate you and turn you into a vegetable of your former self.

Let god do the forgiving for that kind of stuff. You are not god. You are human.
I totally agree as long as it applies to men too

maryjames9: The woman is just unfortunate. People shouldnt be too hasty to nail her. She is still a great woman. Regardless of the news about her, many politicians have done worse. A Governor's family in this country who used to own a bank, sank the bank and made away with investor's funds and they are still the king in that state till today. What of the great corruption under this and previous administration? Please cut the woman some slack.
so because she is not the worst she should be cuddled ? You are a little fool, try to get small brain before you graduate to big one

Christianity EtcRe: Is It A Sin To Leave Church Before The Pastor Exit? by devour129: 4:58pm On May 26, 2013
Reminded me of one stupid driver we had, leaved in our bungalow with his family and attended family worship.everytime he had programme at the church.could be morning afternoon or night. Sometimes he disappears a whole day but we overlooked it.there was a day my hubby was supposed to travel out and my hubby told him a day before,d man went for the church programme ,while there we kept calling cos I don't drive and it was too early to start calling friends, this guy picked his call and told us they locked the door and refused them leaving until after the programme and we were like you must be on drugs which church does that (we later confirmed it was tru).to cut story short,we sacked him,the church ddnt employ his and the last I heard the guy sent his family back to the village.before d saints start talking,he has been forgiven a lot of times .the point of my story is that some churches lock there doors against members and don't let them out until wen d pastor is ready

When police are able to respond to calls within 5 minutes. When there is emergency health and fire response squad that respond to emergency within 5 minutes. When there is rule and order. When the police stop brutalizing the people they suppose to protect. When there is true democrcy. When the President stops harassing political opponents. When there is adequate security of lives and properties.

PetsRe: Why Do Nigerians Hate Pet Especially Dogs? by devour129: 2:59pm On May 24, 2013
dasparrow: Your observation is accurate. The average Nigerian has no respect for the life of an animal if we are to look at the big picture. Go to our zoos here in Nigeria and see how sick looking the animals there are. Heck, do we even have any respect for the life of a human being? It is only in Nigeria that one will attempt to cross the road or street, the driver sees you coming yet will keep his foot on the accelerator and ready to run one over!

Go and see how animals especially dogs are making a positive impact in advanced nations. Dogs help with search and rescue efforts in the event of a natural or man made disaster. Take for instance 9/11 terrorist attacks on the world trade center in New York. You need to see police dogs - German shepherds to be precise - helping to find victims buried under the rubble. You need to see dogs helping to sniff out cocaine and other hard drugs at international airports. You need to see dogs sniffing and detecting explosives.

Other dogs are used by medical laboratory scientists to sniff and detect cancer. I know several dog owners in the western world and even Asia who will tell you that their dogs saved their lives or the lives of their loved ones in one way or another. I remember reading in a magazine about a lady who had a cancerous tumor growing close to her ear and her dog kept sniffing that specific ear and barking and licking the spot. She finally went to her doctor and was diagnosed with cancer but because it was detected early thanks to her dog, she was able to receive necessary treatment and has been cancer free since.

Other dogs are trained to be therapy dogs whereby they are certified to go to hospitals to bring comfort to the sick or to hospices to bring some comfort to the dying or to the nursing homes to bring a smile on the faces of the elderly people. Many elderly people living in nursing homes have not seen their human adult children for months or even years even though some of their adult kids live in the same state, city or town as they do. These therapy dogs bring some companionship to these elderly folks.

Lastly, many dogs also serve as security guards for families and single people who live alone. I have much respect for dogs and cherish them a great deal. This is why it hurts me a lot when I see the way dogs are eaten in some parts of Nigeria or abandoned by their owners. These dogs in Nigeria do not have the privilege of receiving veterinary care should they fall sick like their counterparts overseas. In USA, we have dog groomers who groom the dogs just like we have barber shops for men and saloon for women. There are doggie daycare facilities for busy career-minded dog owners where they can have their dogs taken care of during the day when the dog owner is not home.

There are fortune 500 companies - in other words top notch companies to work for - in the USA that will allow you bring your dog to work as long as the dog is well socialized and behaves well. Can that ever happen in Nigeria? I doubt it very much. The average Nigerian has not learnt to take good care of their children and provide them with a high quality life such as quality education, nutritious meals, a decent home to live in, access to quality healthcare, access to constant electricity and clean water, etc. What makes you think most Nigerians will take care of an animal when many Nigerians cannot afford to take care of themselves and still hold on to backward cultural beliefs and mindsets? I have spent a greater part of my life abroad and I always admire how white people generally speaking value the lives of their animals such as their dogs, cats, horses, etc. Animal rights and welfare is a big deal in advanced nations. Wish it were so here in Nigeria.
nigerians this ,Nigerians that ! PoliticsRe: British-born Michael Adeboloja Labelled A Nigerian: Why? by devour129: 4:55pm On May 23, 2013
ola_pluto: The more his story develops, the more I see a frustrated youth. I know his type because I have friends who are like that. British society is ill. The social gap is getting wider and the level of discipline amongst 'ethnic minorities' is falling sharply. Last year, a former classmate of mine was jailed in UK for terrorism. We were mates for 2 years and throughout that period he was hardly a Muslim except by name.
Even though we had a mosque close by, he hardly came to the masjid. Rather, he only comes on Fridays, jokes around with everyone, very unserious with his works, but very jovial. When we all left school, some of my friends called me to say he's now a 'radical' and had grown beards and all. I laughed it off until he sent me a request on fb. I added him quickly but he never talked to me. All he did was share disturbing pictures and rallies on my wall. He was more interested in counter-rallies against EDL. His interpretation of Islam was grossly flawed, and this was very evident in the things he was posting. After untagging myself for many times, I had no choice but to unfriend him. Next time I saw him, was on BBC on the day of his trial. By the following day, his mugshot was on major newspapers. That made me understand a bit about how much radicalisation is going on in Britain.
Youths are frustrated, and they are becoming easy prey for some evil elements with bad intentions. These elements have been chased from almost all major mosques in London. They congregate in youth centres and other meeting places. I have witnessed Juma'a Khutbah interrupted by a brother who felt the Imam wasnt saying what he wanted to hear. Old Kent Road Mosque has a strict stance on those kind of brothers. The Imam is a Nigerian and well respected.
Micheal Adeboloja comes across as a frustrated youth to me, who sought for guidance, but met the wrong guidance. Allah will judge where Micheal went wrong because what he has done is evil and has no place in Islam. I know it is not the right time to perhaps say that the society failed Micheal, but that is the fact. A lot of former 'bad boys' on the streets of London want to change their lives. However, the society seems to always tell them they cannot measure up. They are been subtly told by the society that they cannot measure up to or get near positions in Whitehall. Hard times for the ordinary London youth.
excuses excuses excuse ! His government houses, feeds, provide basic amenities and he is frustrated enough to butcher his follow human like ram. That means every youth in Nigeria should go on rampage ? Please Oga no vex pesin

PoliticsRe: Anti-Amaechi Protests In Port Harcourt - Picture by devour129: 11:01pm On May 22, 2013
thelastpope10: What has GEJ got to do with anti-Amaechi's protest? Please you people from the Sw should stop commenting on what you dont know. The ND will pursue Amaechi into the sea if he thinks he can betray us. GEJ does ot need to say or do anything. GEJ is a very gentle man who doesnt bother anybody. When Sylva was insulting and threathening hat he will kill the president, GEJ never replied him one day till he dug his own grave. GEJ was even defending him when others where accusing him.

Many of you have refused to realise that GEJ always wins because he never offends. Ibori, Sylva and now Amaechi. GEJ never offends and it keeps working for him. what is simply happening is that the traitors in the ND are all exposing themselves. The ND will never allow anyone to betray them anymore. Our eyes are wide open now. NO amount of SW media campaign will change what we think. All those fake ND people like Berem, who grew up in Ajegunle and Mushin should just naturalise in Lagos. We would soon build an electric fence accross the length of the ND! grin grin grin
try buy brains for ND people too after you build that electric fence.you guys said you wanted to control your resources and it was given to you ,what have you done with it ? With all the money and post going to ND it should have been a dubai by now. It shows that our fore fathers were right, drunks shouldn't be given any responsibility even if its to watch your gate.

With the utterances of virtually all the females led by Kyle seeing nothing wrong in outright dumping of a guy, and also that of some men led by Brilliance9000 seeing nothing wrong in bathing a girl/woman with acid or violence against women, i can now understand why VIOLENCE still lingers in our society among genders. Instead of you all brainstorming together on how to tackle social vices, you all are here spewing thrash. As for you wanting to form your own militia against women, i wish you well but i must assure you that it will RATHER increase violence against women and/or encourage violence against men (i wonder if any of you anti-men saw that acid pouring on a man by his wife in Original post). I personally WILL NEVER CONDONE violence, at same time I'll try all within my powers to educate both women and men on the dangers of BEING in a relationship with a VIOLENT PERSON and also the consequences/punishment of practicing violence act against another human.

kulyie: gbam! Some women themselves are living victims of violence, they experience it everyday so they think its normal.there was a day my friend was jisting me about how a man often beats his wife almost everyday in the flat they live so as usual, noise, shouting, throwing of things in the house was the order of the day and they wanted a stop so they went to their side when the beating was going on to stop it.to their shock the woman said what is their buisness afterall he is my husband and he is correcting me.moths later, the woman was paralyzed after he threw her from upstairs to downstairs,of course the neighbours saw what happened and no one intervened since she has told them to mind their buisness which they did.it was the gate man that rushed the woman to the hospital.people were tagging the neighbours wicked and inconsiderate for not helping the woman to the hospital yet they saw what happened without knowing that they tried to restore peace before and the man said their attention was not needed.fastforward it to a year later, the man said he cannot marry a woman on a wheel chair, that he cant be helping her pull the chair about,he kicked her out and married another woman while she went back to her parents house

the bottomline is that some women themselves see violence as a normal thing and if they are victims, that is their cup of tea because they refused to leave when they had the opportunity to and people were telling them
you are a wonderful lady. You took me back memory lane, maybe one day I won't be too ashamed or weak to tell my story to help others. Before I go,let me make this clear,it's not only ladies from a poor family are abused! Even ladies from a very rich and popular families (in my case) face abuse. Run while you can ladies !
