domcarez: The only countribution Wole Soyinka gave to Nigeria is the Introduction of Cultism in Nigerian tertiary Institutions and the old fool continues to defend it til today,am not surprised he sided with his fellow cultist Amaechi.,.nobel laureat my foot!
and you say this all because of a little token you can get ? So sad that you have sold your soul. When did good name stop being better than money ? Ride on ws,it's only fools that doubt your contribution to this great nation.i rather have an opportunity to meet you one on one than to meet any president of the world.

TravelRe: Nigerian In UK Sham Marriage To Be Jailed For 12 Months by devour129: 1:00pm On Jul 12, 2013
IseOluwa777: The sad thing is that the Uk is virtually a dead end..you can barely ever make wealth in that country because the system is so designed to take away money from you on an increasing scale as you make more. Its so bad that in some instances, a pay rise becomes a curse because of the incomparable increase in taxes that go with it.

So you find highly trained people who have worked in good jobs for years with little to show for it...just simply working for her majesty.
it's sad ! Why would you stay where you are not appreciated ? Can you be your best in that environment ? They say every other place in the world are better than Nigeria but a lot of us still succeed here.

am telling you! People that fight with arm robbers have a reason.at that point they are hopeless,it's like they don't care if they live or die cause there's no respite anyways. Sometimes it's there last kobo,or its borrowed or belongs to a boss who will never believe he or she doesn't have a hand in the robbery.its so sad

What is this one saying? You see, people like you are REALLY ignorant! You would rather submit to oppression, rather than insist you be treated with RESPECT and get your fair rights at any cost! Well today, I am more than certain I am way ahead of bottom suckers, like you who will teach your children to be boy - boy, like you their fathers! For your information, I will say confidently that a lot of students, not just me, will find something useful to do with their time. Do you think everyone just did whatever they liked and ran all around the place like headless chickens? Well, it was the culture in Ife that if you wanted to persuade the majority of the students to your point of view, you came to congress and go up to address the gathering marshalling your points to convince us. Lilly-livered people like you have even no chance up there and I don't care what you think about that. Well, I finished from one of the Engineering programmes, started working the first month after graduation, before service, with about 4-5 job options and when I left Nigeria, I didn't come here as a refugee or run-away fugitive hiding from the cops. I started working 3 weeks after moving to the West (and one of the best countries here), my salary was about 1 M / month within 1 year, so what do you have to say about that? So the culture of "Aluta" you think is a derogatory thing is really an intellectual, vibrant grasp of the issues, powerful communication and standing for what you believe in - with others! I am sure you have never stood for anything except following the crowd! Do you know what FREE people did to be free? Did you read about US History or you think they are what they are today by being boy - boy, gbewudani to the British Crown?
its because of people like him we are in dis shit hole called Nigeria .everyone just wants to water there own beck ! When we start looking at the bigger picture that its only when Nigeria will be great.

You gotta love Ife! You are very right! I don't think you could even walk at 1 am on most streets in Nigeria, for distances as far as BOO 'C' from Awo! Sure, the antecedents and sacrifices of those other students were very crucial for the cult-free Ife I passed through! The culture of vibrancy continued and despite the attempts at repression, it never happened during my time. Yes, we had long strikes and at one time I think we were home for about 11 months! grin grin shocked shocked Good thing was I was working then, so any strike like this is back to work for me! That culture of esteeming knowledge above propaganda, confidence, communication and calmness under extreme pressure is really paying off till date! grin grin I am sure the experience is the same for MOST OAU students!
there's something about OAU that gives one so much confidence.you always come out super smart.i miss OAU ,never lived in the campus but still had fun.as soon as you approach the gates of OAU there's a kinda of adrenaline rush you get.i went back some years ago n I still felt it. GREATEST IFE
EducationRe: July 10 Cult Attack In OAU, Ile-Ife by devour129: 3:52pm On Jul 10, 2013
Jarus: I agree Ife is losing steam, but it's not primarily because of that incident. ASUU strike/student unrest also contributed. Plus exit of world class teachers it used to parade in the 80's to early 90's.

That said, it takes greatness for OAU to still attract the volume of applicants it receives on annual basis despite all those setbacks.

I chose Ife in my UME just a year after that incident. To me - and many people - it was either Ife or no other varsity in NIgeria. We were undeterred by all those.
I did the same. I was the first n last person in my house to school far away from home.i loved ife so much that for once I said no to my day.my siblings either went to unizik or unec
EducationRe: July 10 Cult Attack In OAU, Ile-Ife by devour129: 3:45pm On Jul 10, 2013
Jarus: I gained admission into Ife 2001, two years after.

I remember how my sister who was in part 1 then used to narrate what happened on that night of terror.

Well, I think we later students of Ife benefitted from the efforts of those heroes past, as we enjoyed a cult-free campus in our years there.
yes o we did enjoy cult-free campus although that allowed lecturers to harass us anyhow but I still prefer a cult-free school .the likes of dr akindele etc

Is there no other thing they can lie against.. Everytime.. Road, Infrastructure, Electricity, aviation.. These same old same old things..

Our leaders must think we are daft or something.

Tell me something.. So free $3billion dollars is up for grabs and u say politicians shouldn't kill themselves to occupy political offices..

Na Today yansh don dey for back? Abi no be this same naija wey we dey..

Nothing good can and will ever come out of Nigeria.. I'm a nigeria and a real patriotic one at that. But until we change this Naijiocracy for real Democracy, we are not going nowhere..

Road and Electricity for how long? I wish this Road and Electricity has mouth to talk..

A Debtor is Slave to the creditor.. We are gon be slaves to China. We are signing a bond to be china's slave..

China would willingly borrow us and Niger-Delta would pay for it with delapitation of farmlands and pollution of the aerable agricultural lands..
China knows we have crude.. They will be more than happy to doll out cash to our more than currupt leaders..

Road and Electricity in this 21st century, when China herself is launching Rockets to space everyday with male and female astronauts alike in space, Nigeria is still borrowing from china..

Nigeria is under some sort of spell or something..
Congratulations to the govenment of the day, the have free $3Billion dollars to share afterall they won't be in government when payback time reach and d funds would'a been in some swiss accounts..

I'm a modafuckingly proud Nigerian mehn! A country where anything goes..

I wish I could just get 1% of the $3billion dollars..

Nigeria has gotten to a level that we are not even afraid of Billion dollarz again. We would soon start talking in Trillion dollarz yet noting on ground to show for it..

Se na like dis we go dey dey?
and my worst or our worst fear is that the money will embezzled as usual
