Please I have been reading post of people sending their Passport to Accra vfs, though I did my biometric Capturing in Lagos and other processes does it mean I could have also sent it to VFS Accra, because since I got PPR and sent it to Lagos VFS, it's been over 2months of waiting for final decision letter now, is the wait right

I really can’t say because what you applied for is temporary permit. Maybe you should try tracking via dhl or use the tracking no sent by vfs.

minimum 6 months validity on passport. any less and your passport may be returned unstamped. Best to renew your son's passport ASAP

I think it depends on setting realistic deadlines.
I bought our ticket same day I sent passport to Abuja. The date was 10 weeks away (was wayyyy cheaper,less than 900k for 4 of us). Passport is back, with DHL, to be delivered to me on may 5th. Flight is still in a month's time.

If sending passport for COPR, you’ll pay transmission fee since you don’t have your slip i believe

Well said. This person is most likely Indian. Have you been in an Indian group before? Oversabi is what kills them the most, they don’t listen to voice of reasoning because they believe they know it all or what their agents tells them is the best. Just recently, in one of our telegram groups, I and some other members advised someone to retake IELTS to improve his scores, these group of Indians came out to counter us saying 7 across all boards is sufficient and insinuated that we must be IELTS agents to be advising people to rewrite IELTS because in their words “IELTS is time and money wasting”.

Just came across this and thought to share, pick whatever lesson you want to pick from it. My learning point is to check that whatever extra certificate or degree you plan to take for extra points can be evaluated properly so time/money/effort will not be wasted. Also research other evaluation bodies. They may be able to give a different result.

Sad part is this person waited almost 2yrs only to get rejected.

Edit: Not that it matters, this person is Indian i believe and most of them trust the agents to do everything for them. Some don’t bother to read anything online. I see them post things like my agent refused to give me gckey login or my agent submitted the docs and i don’t know what to do.

April 7th - Dropped passport at DHL for transfer to VFS Lagos.
April 8th - Passport delivered to VFS Lagos.
April 13th - Passport dispatched to VFS Accra.
April 22nd - Passport received by VFS Accra and dispatched to IRCC Accra.
April 25th - Passport received by IRCC Accra.
April 28th - Decision Envelope received by VFS Accra from IRCC for dispatch to VFS Lagos.
April 29th - Application approved and counterfoil generated.

That's exactly 22 days but the journey hasn't ended. I'll inform the house when passport and COPR are in my hands.

Using lagos route is unstable and unpredictable so it’s up to the individual to thoroughly research and decide.

Am I just paying DHL (To and Fro) alone to have my passport forwarded to VFS office here in Lagos for onward forwarding to ACCRA, or I still have to pay again another fee separately to have it forwarded to ACCRA also.

Yes i believe you’re paying for it to go to Lagos VFS. Unless you want to bypass all of that and send directly to accra VFS for faster processing. The procedure for that is on this thread somewhere.

no rule stating that POF must be in the account for 6 months before submission. just that your statement or bank letter should include 6months average balance. Then you need to explain how you came about funds. maybe salary, saving or Gift deed.

I have tried calling targeting the exact time they open but have not been able to get through. It’s been over a month of the upload and no news

If there’s a placeholder, upload the e medicals sheet there. If not, visit the hospital and have them resend your medicals using the request ircc gave you. Nothing to worry about really. Was it IoM or Qlife?

How do you turn down 600 points for something that has not happened and even when it does, so many factors come to play ( tie breaker, higher crs draws, age reduction etc).

Please oo don’t reject anything. Worse that will happen is that you get to stay in that province till citizenship and even that can’t be that bad.

You cannot send it directly. you send to VFS accra

I am not sure, but I do not think IRCC Ghana accepts passports directly from clients/candidates. Someone should confirm, please.
