Justosaus: Thank you my brother. This is Nigeria, where anybody can just come up stage and make blunt, ignorant statements. FRSC are trying their best, but they need to redirect their frustrations to the appropriate quarters - the federal government. Doctors are not heartless, as most people prefer to think. They are human beings, managers who need to feed & cater for their families, pay utility bills at the same rates as the general population, and pay their hospital staff monthly. How do they do these if they keep writing off bills for patients whom they've treated extensively & at times with very expensive medications? And mind you, some doctors write off bills almost on a daily basis! What the FRSC needs to do is to ensure (don't know if its even their duty anyway) that there's a mechanism in place for doctors to get back their money (@ least 50%) after they might have finished treating these emergency/ road traffic accident cases. Its only AFTER then they can talk of punishment for defaulting hospitals... In the absence of that, i'll just advise the doctors to give first aid and then refer the patients to the government hospitals...Why aren't these doctors pushing for this? you know since they come across it on a daily basis |
bigass: Bulllshit FRSC. What needs to be done is to look at the reason why hospitals reject patients. Which is fund! Hospitals aint father Xmas. The federal govt need to set up an issurance to cover all accident victims in that case hospitals won't be afraid to treat. And for those who fight hospitals for rejecting gun shot wounds. Do u know that if you treat an armed robber you will be arrested as an accomplice ?No, Do you have verifiable examples of this happening? or what section of the law can you point nigerians to? |
Olupraise: Good morning house, days that are lecture free are for independent studies and research, you can work extra hours on holidays |
