General pipe: 80% of the nigerian populace that makes use of cash are the peaty traders. Such as the gala sallers, lacasera sellers and the civil servents entering the commercial buses etc, how do they expect this 5k things to favour them and we want to go cashless. The multipler effect is going to be too much and it wil resuit to an hyper inflation and further devalue the naira. Just imagin entering the bus and you give the conductor 5k, he wil use 1hr+ to look for change. This policy is just a further proof that some element who vow not to let go the finacial monopoly of this country will do anyfin to hold on to it .Nigerians are watching where you people are piloting Nigeria to. Only time will tell. How? |

Kobojunkie: I think you should let it go. You have already told her what you want her to know of what you think of it. Why go on and on about it? She is an adult -- not your property or someone you can cajole into doing things YOUR WAY.But he is not happy about it. the dude knows he has her attention and perhaps knows her weakness Tell her to choose one, if she is bored she should talk to her friends or family members, seems she hasnt got a lot going on in her life? no excitement i personally think it okay she greet the dude when they meet on the street on in town but stop all phone contact and any conversation about him threaten to report her to her mummy or sister (make sure the sister is not gaining anything from the guy too oo) |

AGAIN, the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has postponed commencement of train services between Lagos and Kano to “either end of September or first week of October 2012”. The train services earlier scheduled for take off during the first quarter this year, were postponed to July, then this month (August) before the new date was revealed to The Guardian yesterday. The management of the Corporation, while speaking with The Guardian yesterday, attributed the postponement to construction and rehabilitation challenges along the Lagos-Kano rail route. Specifically, the NRC Assistant Director in charge of Public Relations, Mr. David Ndakotsu, explained that during a pre- commissioning inspection recently, it was discovered that Maikukele bridge, about 10 kilometre from Minna, Niger State was in a bad shape. According to Ndakotsu, the management of the corporation is doing everything possible to rectify the problem and kick off the train services as scheduled. Cant wait, seems someone is not following the time line in their contract or not punitive measures for unecessary delays Actually wanted to take the Lagos-Ilorin train earlier this year, just didnt fit into my schedule, so i took the Ebutte Metta-Agege line ![]() |
make political/economic sense but WOULD IT BE APPROPRIATE IF THE NUC FOR EXMAPLE, REFUSE MORE PRIVATE UNIVERSITY APPPLICATIONS IN SAY OGUN/SOUTH WEST, offer them free land in sokoto/niger to open up the education/economy on the Northern part of the country?? then again we dont really have enough local airlines, this will fall straight into the hands of Arik Airline, at the momement with dana has been banned we have only about 2-3 local airline. and with the level of delayed flights on the local route, i'll hate to be a businessman connecting intl flights with them 50/50 to be honest |
why do people post the number of people reading a thread? STOP spamming!! |
Nightshift: Hey, a message for Nigerian government. I've got a German power company interested in supplying 50.000 megawatts of electricity to Nigeria using high-tech cables across the Atlantic . I'm looking for someone to introduce me to Mr. president for this proposal . Anybody interested ?Under water caables? ![]() |
asha 80: that is where the problem will now lie.maybe now he can focus on his geometric plant.this should/would be illegal surely i mean ive always wondered where past finance/trade ministers/CBN governor go after office; i mean they know the secrets, they know FG future plans and any investment would be a sure banker!! |
asha 80: hmm do you think that might be the reason?i ask this because i do not think i have ever hear of a minister resigning because he has been fingered in corruption.if that is the case did gej force him to resign?if gej forced him to resign what does that say about the clamour that gej is not fighting corruption?I think it will be more likely as a case of him not wanting to soil his reputation, doubt GEJ will force him to resign there are several other barefaced cases that Jonathan hasnt had a say in, i mean this is perhaps this govts chance of direct impact on the lives of nigerians. this case is not even anywhere near a corruption cases-conflict of interest that wont shake off this prof. |
A gale of disquiet yesterday greeted an exclusive report by BusinessDay, that power minister, Bart Nnaji has a direct interest in a consortium that bidded for the Afam power plant, one of the generating plants put up for privatisation by the Federal Government. The Afam plant is widely believed to be lucrative with its installed capacity of 776 megawatts (MW), comprising of 18 gas turbines, for which the Federal Government had just approved N500 million rehabilitation. i read this 2 days ago on businessday Nnaji's link with Afam plant |
