4omax: People should get their facts right before destroying that which dis man had suffered to build - his family name. He lived with a woman who pulled him out of his family and relatives for the past 18yrs dey lived together becos he cherished his marriage and hated scandals dat is been given him now. Do you expect a woman who never allowed any member of Levi's (Livinus) family and relatives have access to him while he was alive to be bold to stand b4 d same people? Livi cared for his wife and children, never joked with dem. He was a gentleman to a fault; Loved Jesus and stood up for wat he believed. He was a strong member of MFM. He never abandoned his wife and kids as some people here portrayed. He had no affair(s), let alone flaunting! Wondering how u guys spoke so ill of a man u didn't no too well. Say he was mean and stingy to his people, I will agree with u, cos dat was wat marriage to dis so called wife turned him into. Ladies please know dat marriage is not just to a man
, but to his family as well. If not, your shadows will chase you to d wrong decision like dis ( skipping a hubby's burial). How can a man marry a woman and turn his back to his relatives for more than 18yrs without even his immediate family knowing or visiting his house! To d guys, as much as you love your wife, remember family is still ideal! RIP dear. You will be greatly missed.
yea Abacha too!!! Saint to a fault!

xynerise: If the CBN thinks introducing the N5000 note without a corresponding increase on investment in the real sector to boost productivity, then I am afraid on day N20,000 note will be introduce soon.
the CBN is just one piece of the jigsaw, expecting the CBN to do everything from prosecuting 'cabals' and investing in the real sector is too much

GEJ and his ministers should pull their fingers out

I think the MODS have to look closely at this dailypost, it's not really genuine, seems like a place anyone can generate a topic
so they can use it as a reference!

mbhs139: Yeah! You have a point there. And I was about saying the same thing.

Let me just add that later in life, posterity will judge him.

Quiet frankly, I don't have issues with the N5000 thing but the redinomination of some currencies to coins. That's where I see some infractions. We all have the experience with N1 and K50. That's my fear.
were you for or against the re-domination of the currency by Soludo? what do you think would have happened to the lower dominations
PoliticsRe: Introduction Of N5,000 Note: Nigerians Are Wasting Their Time – Sanusi Lamido by DisGuy: 9:31am On Sep 16, 2012
I reckon if it was Soludo proposing this idea, it would be the best thing since slice bread!!
PoliticsRe: Introduction Of N5,000 Note: Nigerians Are Wasting Their Time – Sanusi Lamido by DisGuy: 9:30am On Sep 16, 2012
Suppose instead of introducing an N5000 note, he redenominates the currency, removing two zeros.

So you exchange N100 for a "new naira."

Would anyone be opposed to the latter?

So how can the latter be OK but introducing an N5k note be insane?

Are they not effectively the same thing?
we are well known for being hypocrite or knowingly ignorant!!!

agabaI23: Most Nigerians are confused.

They shout , fight corruption! The EFCC in an operations update report they have charged a yahoo yahoo kingpin to court to show they are working.

They shout again na wash, make them arrest the politicians looting the country dry. Breaking News! A former minister is arrested in connection with oil bunkering.... Abegi, na witchhunting because he supported so and so. Come on guys, was he the only ex minister who switched loyalty? What matters is that he is allegedly a thief. He shld defend himself or get imprisoned. Nigeria, too much skepticism is dangerous, show some optimism and solidarity.
arresting someone in nigerian is just a right of passage now, IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN ARRESTED OR KIDNAPPED YOU ARE NOBODY!!

PoliticsEx-Minister Emmanuel Ihenacho Arrested For Oil Theft by DisGuy(op): 10:03pm On Sep 14, 2012
Capt Emmanuel Ihenacho

Former Minister of interior

Channelstv

A former Minister Of Interior ,Captain Emmanuel Iheanacho has reportedly been arrested in Lagos. He was picked up in connection with alleged oil theft.Investigations into a company linked to him led to his arrest.

The ex minister is believed to have been handed over to the State Security Service,SSS as investigations continue into the affair. Iheanacho had a controversial tenure as a minister as he was suspended only to be reinstated and later laid off.

While announcing the suspension of the minister pril 2011 in a a statement Mr. Ima Niboro who was then , Special Adviser to the President, Media and Publicity said: “President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has ordered the immediate suspension of Capt. Emmanuel Iheanacho as Minister of Interior and member of the Federal Executive Council.

“Capt. Iheanacho has been directed to hand over to the Minister of Labour, Mr. Emeka Wogu, who will, in addition to his present portfolio, oversee that ministry.”

Reports at the time said Olisa Metuh a PDP topshot from the South East lamented what he called at the time the disloyalty of then minister to the ruling party in his home state saying he had asked the president to call him to order whilst also directing the Imo State chapter to set up a disciplinary committee to investigate his activities and recommend necessary sanction against him. Metuh added then that “The president has shown that he is a peaceful man and that he has a listening ear.

But Iheanacho’s arrest on Saturday which came as a surprise to outsiders is bound to generate intense interest.A security official reportedly said the ongoing arrests may help stem the tide of oil theft on Nigeria’s waters.

funny

One minute you are being marginalized, next minute you want to choose what airline comes into the state, next you want to choose where their final destination should be AND TO TOP it you dont want them to start going local to protect local airlines!

sandee575: What we should be thinking is that if foreign airlines designate their routes across the country, local airlines will wind up because they won't have any passengers left to carry. Its already bad enough as it is because Kano, PortHarcourt, Abuja and Lagos are already being serviced by a number of foreign airlines. The same countries concerned shall not condone such a thing in their boudaries.

HealthRe: National Health Insurance Scheme by DisGuy: 12:41am On Sep 12, 2012
AjanleKoko: HMO registration has nothing to do with being a civil servant. It's just a medical insurance policy from an insurance company. You can sign up to any HMO you want, just like you would take out an insurance policy or open a bank account with any bank of your choice.

We use the American model in Nigeria. The HMO steers you towards the provider. If you signed up with, say, Total Health Trust, then they give you a list of hospitals that you can register with. Private hospitals that is.

So when you have a car accident, three things can happen, depending on how serious your injury is:

1. If you can get away from the scene by yourself, go to the hospital you're registered to, and get yourself treated.

2. If you're not able to get away from the scene by yourself, but you're conscious, you can call the HMO and they will take it from there. Hopefully your HMO plan will support ambulatory care, in which case they can come get you and take you to hospital.

3. You are not conscious. So nobody there will know what HMO you're registered to. In Lagos, someone just needs to call 767 or 112 (emergency services), and the Lagos State Ambulance services will come get you and take you to the government General Hospitals. They treat anybody, and will at least stabilize you. Hopefully the doctors won't be on strike lipsrsealed
Many many thanks
