Go with the idea Fashola has been saying time after time, i dont know why these people are so reluctant to listen, it is so simple. STATE POLICE
yea right,, Ive been thinking about this to but then again there is LASTMA without guns, if the state can control those agbero imagine what will

if Lagos cant get Lastma right, heck imagine what will happen to a state police all equipment, no justice in fact tehy will probably shoot everyone on the street!!
Sanusi Lamido definitely has been. . . .
Although it is important to note that AMCON itself was first outlined by soludo

So in the event that it is being followed up by Sanusi. .its good

However i do wish Sanusi will look for more innovative ways of encouraging credit growth
This idea of asking or compelling banks to lend just wont work

What we need is a good way to securitize loans, and banks also need to be able to raise long term funds
perhaps issue dollar denominated bonds in international markets with CBN backing
How does the idea of letting this banks fail sound to you?
The monies used to save them came from peoples taxes
its not out of place to ask them to justify their lending rates

This is the beauty of democracy: the opportunity to criticise your elected leaders and change them at intervals with better people.

Back to you poster, WHO do you have in mind that can replace Fashola and outperform him especially in all these areas where he has 'failed'? Waiting for your recommendations please.
Unfortunately the situation in lagos is almost like that of a communist state! No criticism even if you are suffering in your 'little area' or you get 'when the govt/private sector is done with Lekki then they will concentrate on other areas' reminds one of China

Business › Re: Robbed By A Briton, Story Of An Unfortunate Nigerian by DisGuy: 2:09pm On Jul 20, 2010
The main issue is playing victim whilst there are avenues to resolve the issue, this guy is obviously not dumb, he is not new to business why is he running to the press instead of going to the authorities, he has paper work he has the nigerian embassy in England, but he went to a nigerian newspaper 6000miles away when the 'crime' was somewhere else

I have a feeling if you encounter an issue like this you will go back to nigeria instead of reporting the issue in his own country especially when you have nothing to hide!!!

So because he has seen little or no improvement in his small area now amount to the Governor not performing? His he representing the masses in Lagos State. Even you should reason well with his comments.
Actually that's a fair reason to come to that conclusion, He is the Governor for Lagos state including the small areas/Villages not JUST LEKKI, IKOYI these people also need to know the reason problems of 2000 are still not being tackled in 2010, if the private sector is not attracted to the little areas the state government has to use its saving n tax to build up these communities

when are we going to start having discounts on nigerian airlines flying within nigeria or nigerian hotel offering discounts etc etc
Politics › Re: Lagos Brt Fares To Increase From N100 To 120 And N50 To N70. August 1 by DisGuy: 4:14pm On Jul 19, 2010
They already had plans to increase the fare since last year or since inception even, dont know why people are surprised

They have to maintain the bus shelters and extend the lane to other parts of lagos with traffic problems

Have they started plying other routes of theyve left it the way it is?
What about the Ferry Service any new terminals?
Sports › Re: Our Falconets Are Being Shabbily Treated By Nigeria! by DisGuy: 3:17pm On Jul 19, 2010
From 2007 but might b worth reading, I am sure a lot has changes as there are more marketable and the people on top over there actually get do some work

http://soccerlens.com/womens-football-in-england-slave-labor/4026/

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/women/7095951.stm

I like this part,

That goes into financing the grass roots of the game, a salary development officer in each county to get more girls playing in schools, and we have a full-time scholarship at Loughborough University for 20 students each year - we pay their accommodation fees and tuition fees - and finance five elite teams.
"The point to make here is that the men's game has had a 100-year start on women's football and we hope in the not-too-distant future that the women's league will be completely different product."
BUT where are the former female players do they know something we dont or they just can be bothered and what about that woman on AIT sport folade or something how comes shes never had anything to do with female footballers (she cant get free flight tickets unlike the mens team?)
Politics › Re: Wear T-shirts With ‘police’ Inscription And Go To Jail by DisGuy: 1:35pm On Jul 19, 2010
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said in Abeokuta, the state capital, that information at the disposal of the police has established that the T-Shirts are being use to commit various crimes in the society.
See these i.diot, they should come out with members of the public who have been defrauded or been victims of these trend to solidify their claims

that Mallam IGP Onovo should be sacked quick!!

saintchux:
1.Super eagles is not equal to the falconet, that is the starting point.
2. If super eagles are paid $30K for a win, at least is reasonable that falconet be paid at least $5K.
you mean? $500

What does FIFA pay the winning team, or how much do they give the federation for participating?

I Think NFF can do better with the League so atleast these girls get regular income, they should get better sponsors but then again Nigerians hardly pay to watch them on home soil, in fact they hardly watch the mens junior teams so how exactly do they generate income?
Sports › Re: Our Falconets Are Being Shabbily Treated By Nigeria! by DisGuy: 11:41am On Jul 19, 2010
Generally I'll expect Nigeria teams to be taken care of when representing the country

BUT lets also consider the age of these representative, though i don't know much about bonuses and allowances but one would expect the National Male Team to earn considerable much more than under 19 female team
you also have to consider how much the teams bring in in terms of FIFA bonuses and endorsements

We should be comparing the U-20 male teams with the Under 20 female team but generally Insurance, Medical, Accomodation etc should be standard irrespective of the sex and age of the players

The amount FIFA pays to the winner of the Female U-20 world cup winner is also considerable less than adult Female World Cup

Anyone have information on what England U-20 male team get compared to National Team?

those soldiers must be the misfit they were probably expelled from military school

BECAUSE normal nigerian soldiers will beat these Agberos to death!!!

how can they beat someone to a state of unconsciousness- what a waste of energy and training!!

This is where Fashola is failing,, the little details, you create a dept that cause so much stress to tax paying residents-- simply taking their names or the vehicles registration number should be enough

Will the Chairman of NBS ever come out to defend their figures and what about NESG, or university economic group in nigeria will they ever justify the amount paid to them yearly by actually coming out with their research

What do (economic) professors in Nigeria do anyway, do they ever get the chance to actually comment national economic issues as a group or make public their research

This guy is smart!!

Funny thing is people easy criticize him ignorantly (or basically because he is a northerner!), smart men align themselves with government policies to take advantage- but this guy will be criticized for monopolising this and that even though others are given license and waivers just like him

2 years ago some were given extra license/capacity to import, these little ducks with big mouth were shouting they will break the monopoly and bring the price of cement to under 1000N where are they now? silly sods

and how comes otedola never gets accused of monopolicing the diesel market like dangote?
Politics › Re: Ig Of Police About Kidnapper by DisGuy: 1:45pm On Jul 16, 2010
conspiracy

Personal this is how it goes

This obese IG is looking to be retained and considering the fact the police have been shown to be corruptly incompetent, they staged a kidnap along the current trend in Nigeria

The police Kidnapped these Journalist, hide for a few days knowing the media will report this for several days and they will get the coverage they need

This Obese Onovo swings into action like an monkey with belly ache, releasing money for his Enugu/Eastern mansion so he can move in close to the action

Few hours to the deadline they Journalists are rescued by the police and there goes the action man telling everyone the police is your friend and if well numerated they will do a better job, they take this opportunity to TANK the minister for police affairs and the committee on security, they will also like a new helicopter

no I've not been smoking! I don't buy some kidnap stories, Sani Lulu and NUJ kidnap saga = staged!!
