According to him, the Ministry of Works had summoned the chairman of the firm, Dr. Wale Babalakin to Abuja, and warned that failure to do the right thing might lead to terminating the contract.

Before I'm accused of being too serious about this Mod thing, let me state clearly that I so much believe in NL that I do quote it in my contributions to national discourses in no less media than Thisday, Sun, Daily Trust,Nigeria Village Square etc.

Before unveiling my 5-point programmes, let me clarify some issues that may come up:
Jarus you are too much jare carry go!!

But in the name of God I beg you restrict this hall of fame, vanguard newspaper style post to nairaland or general discussion levels, i know you enjoy being a budding autobiographer but please not in this section

3, Hall of Fame/Hall of Shame: Part of my initiative to make this forum fun-filled, is to open a thread called NL Politics section Hall of Fame and Hall of Shame. At the end of every month we shall be inducting a personality(not Nairalanders, but our political leaders, etc) that has been in the news for the wrong reason in the month for the former hall and for the right reason(if any) for the positive reason for the latter category. It’s gonna be interesting
for politicians at the end of the year is better

12large:
all these players think we are silly, this is a fifa friendly and almost all teams are playing so why are these players faking. the funny thing is that had it been the replacement were good we would have been proud, but the replacement is all these rubbish players playing for heartland and rangers, players that cannot even win a team from algeria and zambia. how i wish siasia was the coach this non-sense would not have happened
you this dude you are always chatting rubbish!! are you not one of those shouting for inclusion of home based and other fringes players? now you are saying these guys cant win matches,

some Nigerians can be very weird one minute you want these foreign players dropped, now they drop out voluntarily you heap abuse on them for not showing up
what can siasia do sef? this guys name has been mentioned like he ever coached a proper team, why did he wait for a nigerian job all his life, why cant he ever get a job outside? will the players suddenly turn up because it is siasia?

2-0!

The commentator even  had to say how slow we were moving. Like no urgency! This is what comes from sitting at the back for so long. Mistakes happen because no one can sustain pressure for that long. Even sef if we were like Inter (vs. Barcelona), we've sat at the back too long.

At least we were not shamed. We also came to the party. We can still be proud and hold our heads high.

I disagree. We've put on a good show and could have equalized loads of time. Ok it's 2-0 now. But over the 2 halves, this has not really been a 2-0 match.
You disagree that the Germans are better than the Nigerians?  ?   ?  ?   ?  ?

The German team play in a proper league, they play university tournaments, and several others

The Nigerian girls rarely play in a structured league and they got to the finals

The Girls should ask for a mini league at least, that's if they even pay them

Politics › Re: Lagos Water Corporation Seeks Bill To Stop Borehole Sinking! by DisGuy: 9:52pm On Jul 30, 2010
Is it not common sense that you need to test and evaluate before you drill and even after drilling, you can not consume the water without proper treatment? oDo you really need statistics to show that people are dying because of bad and untreated water in Lagos state? Are you for real or you're just joking?
Well instead of banning, how about the govt requiring people to produce a certificate of some sort for boreholes drilled in new developments of areas with specific problems

I thought access to clean water was an issue of Human Right, you cant ban people from helping themselves when you are not yet providing an alternative, the govt can make borehole drillers get certificate for every well they drill just like construction companies employing qualified Building engineers

Fashola will never patronize, Nigeria will never support, why?, Because it's from Igboland, if this were in Lagos now, you would have felt the impact, !!!
Erm Nigeria is also made up of Igbos, and the transportation business in Nigeria is predominantly controlled by Igbos-The Young Shall Grow, Odili Chukwu, ABC transport etc- so stop blaming other people, when those close to home are not investing in this 'great business' idea
Business › Re: Ghana Woos Innoson Auto Plant With Incentives by DisGuy: 12:05pm On Jul 30, 2010
What Lagos state Govt needs to do is, buy a few Buses and run them for a while, if they pass the durability test, then I see no reasons why Goverments all over Nigeria should not patronise them after all,
Have the state govt where he is operating from at the moment invested in them? Why aren't most South Eastern,South Southern state investing in them at the moment, the Rivers, Calabar etc etc just commissioned thousands  of buses imported from Brazil and elsewhere,

^^ thank you jare, I also said this during the beginning of this season

Kano pillars played almost everyday after winning the league until the new season started played FA cup, Super 4, then African Cup then the season it was too much

These guys should be given time off to recover and do something else apart from football perhaps charity or time with their families

How do clubs buy or access new players when they are not given time off, how do new players settle into a team when they are supposed to be on break

When are they going to appoint a NPL Chairman, Sponsorship and Media?
