it is official lars is working for sweden because there is no reason you would bench your best striker in a game to be won, plus two useless midfilders etuhu and keita in a game we need to win
I dont think Martins can play a full match, running with such speed in high altitude wont suit him its better he comes in the second half 65-70minutes to strech the defense

Who do you want him to play in midfield? those guys go back and forth defending and attacking they are not just defensive MF

Litmus:
I'm not following this World Cup tooth and nail so i may be wrong to suggest that Nigeria will be the first team knocked out of the tournament if we loose today - some sort of record I expect.

It's going to be as tough for Nigeria as it is possible. What with having faced Argentina, arguably the best team in South America, now up against Greece, the former European Champion, and with South Korea ,the best team in Asia, to come. In addition, we are facing these teams with arguably the weakest Nigerian side ever. So guys go gently with the team if they should exit the world cup in the first round.

Still, this Nigeria team is capable of reaching the final, seems mad to state this, but, I don't know there is just something about Nigeria people that is magical. Besides, South Africa is a happy hunting ground for Nigerians in terms of competitions, so everyone take heart, mind the blood pressure and hope for the best.

Good luck to all the African teams,
The Former European champions have never scored a goal in the world cup and if we get our defence tight for corner kicks and free kicks we should keep their record!!

This team look like they are jelling well now

Sir Kay:
@ londoner,

They came to Ghana on their own.
that cant be, 3000 ex-militant going to another country to negotiate 'amnesty' without the Ghanaian authorities, or Nigerian government knowledge is highly unlikely

Ghanaian fleeing violence is different from ex-militants going into another country

Ghana is taking this issue lightly, why are they involving themselves in some dodgy negotiation anyway, these guys have the skills and backing of corrupt government to spread their violence considering Ghana's now oil discovery

The new process, the government said, would be on a fast-track basis, in accordance with the provisions of the Public Procurement Act (2007) and Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) Act
I dont get this does it mean there is a section in the constitution that has a fast track element since 2007 and its also new? or previous contracts have not been done in accordance to the 2007 act

and what is the completion time for this fast track

The Teimgeist ball used at the 2006 World Cup in Germany was called the "flying ball" and the "helium ball" because of its perceived extended flight time, while the Fevernova ball from the 2002 World Cup co-hosted by Japan and South Korea was deemed too light and too bouncy.

Politics › Re: Lagos Bans Pregnant Women From Riding Okada by DisGuy: 3:49pm On Jun 16, 2010
Moves:
Good Decision; Also people should realise that the ban on okada is not a blanket ban ~ but a restriction on the routes they operate in, Even though some people may argue that it should have been a blanket ban; the government realise that okada fills a service where no quicker alternative exist.

@Kobo, enforcing discipline of the okada raiders is a tall order; not in the current nigerian climate, Heck my recent holiday to naija went to the FRSC to get myself a naija license saw first hand how people are being given licenses; a few of the okada riders who came to collect riders card ~have absolutely no clue~ I sat through a good driving lecture which I must say is a good idea but fails as a quarter of it recipient have no clue as to what was going on~ being illiterate~ but they where still issued with a rider license and a host of other people who couldn't be bothered to attend the 1hr lecture being brought in ahead of us who attended to finger print for their license, vented my annoyance on a few of the frsc guys there and a lengthy discussion with one of the senior guys there and I realised that we will get there someday~ we are still a developing country~~
so this is the same state taht want to ban, some people from riding on an okada, a state that has not been successful or cant be bothered to enforce existing laws, basically selling drivers' license. . . and people
cant see it as just another one from the PR office? and the oga has not told us the punishment for this strong women

It may have something to do with the fact that the President of Nigeria is now from the Niger Delta region, as well as the minister for Energy? People who are from the Niger delta are now in positions of power pertaining to the sector and they obviously want to put their foot down and rightly so. Its a good thing, and I dont think its just because of what has happened in America.
O really? the Governors, Senate Chair, House of chairing oil and gas are all from this area? the Niger Delta ministry is all made of Niger deltans, former NNPC heads are from there. if they wait to become president/minister before they can make the government do anything then they even more useless than their counterparts across the river niger

We are an equal opportunity employer and do not include gender, religion, disability or ethnicity in our selection process. Simply put, if we believe you are the best person to do the job satisfactorily then you will be employed.

thank God Obama don open our eyes to how to handle those guys,
thank God we have ND elders and old men parading as youth leaders who will happily collect money to renovate their kingdom, marry new wife or buy that mansion in Abuja far away from their region- just who is fooling who
Maybe the minister, senate chairman for oil and gas, and NNPC head are from the northern part of the country that is why they are looking the other way
