This newspaper is getting crazier everyday, it seem they just print anything that is sent to them for a business newspaper they stink!!!

this is the same newspaper that  carried a scam as their front page news!!

With the recent death of hundreds of children in the same state from this 'mining revolution' this is despicable!

their website is very professional as well shocked

the problem could be no one actually complains to the editors

i'll try to look for his number or email

WONDERING OUT LOUD

out of curiosity, is there any particular reason why the journalist like many nigerian journalists include the village/state of the paedophile?

does it add to the story in anyway or will the omission take away from the story?

@ Topic

Like several people already said, no good or bad, overseas or Nigeria

What I have discovered from personal experience is you have to decide what is more important to you, what are your priorities?

I'm talking strictly middle class white collar professionals here living in both societies:

If you want sanity and organisation, you're best off living abroad and with a good job in a good location, you can make a nice, very comfortable life for yourself

If you want the potential of sudden wealth (happens everyday in Naija) you're better off in Nigeria but you may never see it
could also read as. . . . if you want the potential of sudden death (happens everyday in naija) sorry i couldn't resist

This is a show of barbarism from the British. Too many Nigerians are going through the same or worse things in their hands. Time to start protesting loudly!

To start with, send a strongly worded protest letter to the Home Secretary. Explain in details what happened. Specify the flight number, the time of flight, date and the terminal

Make your views known. Be harsh!
Totally agree with you LETS BOYCOTT THE BRITISH EMBASSY IN NIGERIA grin that will cause a dent in the income of their part national carrier

patronise nigerian airlines cheesy

This thread has made me finally come to the conclusion that Nigeria has no future and no hope. I think Nigerians have to wean themselves off the " I better pass you" attitude. So you come to the UK and buy luxury goods whilst I am hustling, do I look like i care? At least I dont have to be a millionaire or be a top earner to live a decent life. I find it ridiculous when people use material things to measure others. The fact is Nigeria is a banana republic, a failed state and i wouldnt blame anyone who decides to go awol
HAND ON HEART, this is every nigerians motivating factor in life!! thats why we make it anywhere and unfortunately anyhow afterall no one ask questions

Maybe our federal govt. don't think the people of the Niger Delta are human beings with basic God given right to exist in a safe environment.

This has been my quandary in the past month plus as CNN and all other major news outlet have basically dedicate all news slot to this disaster.

Can anyone enlighten me?[/quote]You lie!! the major news outlets Ait, NTA etc have been showing amazing reports from Alao Akala's 60th birthday party and several other top weddings in the land
Politics › Re: Why All The Noise About Bp Oil Spill In The Gulf Of Mexico: ? by DisGuy: 7:29am On Jun 10, 2010
apparently because nigeria oil spills is allegedly as a result of thieving citizens- self inflicted.

The top officials have not been competent enough to show us what percentage of oil spills is caused by negligence and what percentage is causing by oil thieves

And If you consider the Minister of Environment is an incompetent bloke that probably studied arabic or sharia so knows nothing about international environmental law - John Odey, previous ones being  Chuka Odom and Helen Esuene grin

They should stop putting northerners in these positions and you will see the result in NNPC and ministry of Environment grin

more emphasis should be on HND and work experience

Politics › Re: Sanusi Seeks Removal Of Fuel Subsidy by DisGuy: 8:33am On Jun 09, 2010
freezy:
Was it not the same subsidy that has been regularly removed over the years which was responsible for the increment in the pump price of petrol from N3.50 => N11 => N22 => Forty something => N70 and then N65 because the barrel price dropped internationally?

If it wasn't subsidy that was removed, why the astronomical price increase(s)?

If it was subsidy, how come it is being removed over and over again? Does it have a way of creeping in through the back door? undecided

If that is the trend, methinks subsidy will be removed now (again), and in a few years, someone'd come up saying govt has been subsidizing all along! Subsidy woulda crept in again. cheesy

The earlier we stop importation, outsource the refineries, build and outsource more refineries, we are still coming back to this same spot.

So dear Mr CBN [s]'Big Mouth, Press Loving, Attention Seeking'[/s] Governor, if you have so much energy (and resources, I hope) to spare, you might wanna pay attention to the bolded part above and let us hear word, abeg. angry
is that what you employed him for? what has obaseki, obj and several southerners in charge of petroleum sector done with regards to the bolded part? when Aganga, G jonathan, soludo said the same thing it makes sense when aboki man says it you dismiss it

Bloody hell, they are already married, if she wasn't committed she wont be married to him with her password and everything in the same house! she is not relocating she is attending a wedding feel sad having to answer your funny question though

so what happens when you girlfriend wants to go to the toilet? you make sure you junior sister is there just to check up on her? does your girlfriend ask permission before going to see her friends? heck

next is she found out what he did. any sane woman will like to know why he did what he did right ? and then act accordingly. but noooooooo not her. what is her response ? she is trying to find out from her friends if she can still sneak off and do the visa interview and if it can be rescued.

does this sound like a committed woman to you ?

They can write up new licenses for hundreds of traders willing to following the law to bring fuel in instead of restricting it to few individuals who are very quick to sponsor union members up and down the country calling for a strike.
