I move the topic to the culture section from the travel section hoping to get more reaction or perhaps it should be moved to the religious section? |
@ Zim previously in nigeria to get a licence, you pop into the VIO/FRSC office pay about £20, hand over your passport photograph Voila you can drive to the moon and back if you want ![]() Now, you pop in payabout £50 have your picture taken, answer some basic questions-road signs mainly, get some eye test i think, you will be given a paper/receipt you can use until the card is ready in 3-10months ![]() |
clans: yeah but as an insurance student I was taught that there are steps before a valid insurance contract can come to place, if not there would be a problem when it comes to claims, that's in the event of a claim. I just don't agree with them they should just stop deceiving people joor and making insurance look bad.. what's the insurance commission even saying about it sefBUT YOU SAID ITS IN CONJUCTION WITH MANSARD INSURANCE, I DOUBT MTN WILL PUT ANYTHING OUT WITHOUT PROPER CLEARANCE FROM THE INDUSTRY...AND IS IT PHONE INSURANCE OR HEALTH INSURANCE? dirtymoney: yeah. when you activate the service. MTN would be deducting N15 from your units daily. i think the insurance lasts for a month. its just a way of ripping more money off greedy people. IMHO. if i need an insurance, i will go to an insurance company and get one that i can trust, not some telecommunication network affliated promo! clans: yeah but as an insurance student I was taught that there are steps before a valid insurance contract can come to place, if not there would be a problem when it comes to claims, that's in the event of a claim. ^^ G) Lock madam president up like Chime, announce to Nigerians theres no office of first lady and restrict her cross country movement to Young Shall Grow or edene Chuckwu...to appeal to the common man and her fellow ![]() |
to culture section ? |
Stay away from Obasanjo?? or he should move into ota for the next few week and learn some proper lessons- even at that he will only recover 25%, who has he got in the SW at the moment? TY danjuma? where is he from, he's just a lucky bugger with oil wells, he might be doling out money to charities but i dont see him buying some governors back! Eyah so PDP is now a SS, SE party!! this is what you get when you invite some ogogoro militants to be abusing people inside aso rock like they dont have their mandate |
^^ no practical driving test in nigeria- just get a tutor, get a note from him/her and apply for a licence, or just get a car and drive ![]() there's only one licence category- no learner permit or anything like that- https://www.nairaland.com/1136736/how-did-learn-drive |
he wont even get a work permit!! Loan to belgium or italy straight! |
ba7man: She looks like a WWE Wrestler.you guys are wicked ooo |

after passing your driving test you still need some guidance and perhaps a driving mate if you feel the lessons you had arent sufficient or not confident enough going out on your own perhaps you can ask for more lessons/practice from the driving school you went to previously so you improve your skills. Ask him/her you will like to try highway driving one weekend, night driving another weekend, and driving in the rain if it can be arranged |
chukel: any youtube video is highly welcome too.except perhaps its made in nigeria, mechanic elsewhere dont do it so you'll hardly see a video of this procedure Hope there's a Nigerian tech willing to make a video |
chances are Nigerians were busy debating instead of actually voting when the news came through perhaps thinking some officials were in charge of the votes if you look at the previous thread that made frontpage = people were carried away patting each other on the back https://www.nairaland.com/1512564/mikel-victor-moses-nominated-bbc |
Oya order three more cars jare!!! |
otokx: saw this post late and got there quite late, BBC is bad, they should have put only 1 Nigerian on the poll. Nairaland sports moderators should hide their head in shame. This ought to be on the front page for the last 1 week leading to the end of the poll.https://www.nairaland.com/1512564/mikel-victor-moses-nominated-bbc |
thegoodjoehunt: The problem with loans is that, no regular atmosphere for growth. Lukaku was at West Brom. Now Everton. Suoer John Guidetti was loaned out to Feyenoord by Man City. I think he was the top scorer in the Dutch league and he is yet to start a game for Man City. Nurturing is better for growing players. Let the big clubs fight for Aguero andSuarez.Well its hit and miss, many people are mentiong lukaku, but then again there are tons of players in the lower league loaned from Man Utd, Arsenal etc who are not exactly firing on top cylinder-Frederico Macheda is currently at Doncaster rovers When a young player gets loaned out at least(depending on their contract) they ensure they play regular games, coming straight from nigeria(no club) it will take time to adjust to certain style of play or even adjusting to the environment- tthere are tons of 'commercially attractive' talented players in portuegese, Russian league- what are the chances porto etc will pay due attention to Iheanacho |
What's wrong with Chelsea,Man city loaning him out? How are you sure porto wont loan him out too... |
portuege contracts are always slavery, buy out clauses starts from 50millions Euro and are we even sure all these clubs are 'coming' for him? His career is being tossed about in the media already, many clubs wont like to be associated with bad news/slavery |
FutureDon: I've been here for more than 1 year, I can't remember any instance of racial attack (either mild or brutal). I think it depends on one's perception. For instance, if you have a strong perception that Brits are racists, you would tend to refrain from cordially associating with them.+100 |
I know there were no promises for the UK only that they've set their entry bar for legal immigration so high [cancelling Tier 4 and so many helpful routes] and yet they say we are in the Commonwealththere use to be a time when their immigration/path to citizenship were very favourable but like most countries they have to deal with realities on ground, they had the 2 years post study work visa and several others, but as the EU is expanding and everyone moving westward within the EU they had to adjust, coupled with many many people abusing the system The country is also not as huge as USA/Canada/australia that can take in immigrants on a large scale for a long period of time commonwealth? India dey there na ![]() |
If you can't 'feel at home' in London doubt you can feel at home elsewhere- Cost of living is definitely cheaper in some other cities but then again you will have to deal with [high cost of nigerian/african food] If you live outside london you are more likely to need a car to move around and for work people will smile at you when the sun comes out, or they havent got anything to do- you go UK go count bridge? ![]() |
pash4naija: You can use your Nigerian driver's licence in Canada for one year after which you'll be required to get their own licence. I also know someone who used his Canadian licence in Naija. FRSC stopped him on his way travelling and he didn't have Nigerian licence. He gave them the one he had and they waved him on.is this still applicable? Seeing as VIO are on the prowl now |
Adjust your sitting position and get fit ![]() |
she don they use Tura? Nice |
doesn't work like that in naija unfortunately, thats why most argument/debate end up looking like beer parlour discussions That's why the list itself is a bit skewed, most info are from 'insiders', think about it even job adverts dont come with salary scales except perhaps for civil servants Mobil is 11m starting according to 'insiders' |
