Phones › Re: Disadvantage Of Rooting Your Android Smartphone by DJInfluence: 9:40am On Aug 16, 2017
People still rooting phones? Android phones are so good now that rooting is kinda redundant in my opinion. Rooting use to be a thing when android was still growing and filled with lot of bugs and very bare. The last time i rooted a phone was the Galaxy S3 which was filled with millions of bloatwares. However, even the low tier phones are pretty good for their prices this days. But, if you want to tinker and cath fun, feel free to root, but like the OP said, be careful and make sure you know what you are doing.

There is something wrong with us as a people. Why would you need a reward for doing the right thing? How do we think? It should be a duty to ourselves and the soceity to do the right thing.

this our mentality explains why so many fall victims of pastors/traditionalists and their tricks because when we give tithes and thanks offering, we do it not because we sincerely want to, but because we hope that one day, God/the oracle we belive in, will do more for us.

Our living legend.

I remembered the first time i saw this guy play against Algeria in the National stadium lagos, where he scored a wonderful freekick. A star was born that day.

And i also remembered what he did to Oliver khan when he (okocha) was playing for Frankfurt and khan for Leverkusen.

If this guy was oyinbo, his value would have been 4 times what it was before he retired. But If ronaldo can have a statue in his home town, what are the igbos doing? Give him one already.

No, china does not produce the top anything. Their technologies are knock-offs.
Tecno, Gionee phones are not the real thing. They are cheap knock-offs just like 90% of the chinese products in Nigeria. But then you choose to buy. If you want the real thing, go and get Apple, samsung or Erickson.
Nigeria as at now cannot produce anything of higher quality, sorry. You don't have the infrastructure, or the technology.
Even the cost of power alone is already enough hindrance. A Nigerian product with the same quality as china will cost twice as much.
Don't deceive yourself. If you keep looking for the best quality for now, then you need to keep importing.
The only sustainable way to improve Nigerian quality is to buy Nigerian products and increase their revenue base so they can have more to spend on improving quality.
Ok.. i hear you.

one last thing though, Apples and samsung phones are produced in foxconn factories

You are even lucky it is only suspension thru a call. Diego Costa received only a text message.

Seriously though, no need to contest this, it will help no one because it will only increase the bad blood between you and your boss. Maybe the person that was sent to give you the recharge card exagerated to your boss when reporting back. So try and get audience with the boss and state your side and hope that he is understanding and lift your suspension.

Properties › Re: I Need Advice On The Estimated Cost Of This Duplex Please! by DJInfluence: 12:06pm On Aug 15, 2017
Ratello:
I am a big fan of so many experts here especially egunmogaji etc. However, I will need an expert advice of how much it will cost to build from the scratch the following; 5 Bedroom + BQ Detached Duplex on an expansive land of 2 and a half plot with a big garden for exotic plants and crops cited in a gated space, space for 4 automobiles, plastered fence of 11 coches in Akure and Lagos.

I will appreciate a reasonable and fair estimation from honest experts. Thanks my fellas
You might get discourage when the expert start giving you quote. What i am doing with mine, is to get a quote for each phase of the house. and focus on that. I did the foundation and raised it to decking level as first phase. then i deck it (2nd phase), now am currently raising it to roofing level. Once comeplete, i will get quotation for the roofing and see if i can do it now or wait a few months.

So start with what you have, and don´t wait for any quote, unless you have the whole budget at hand now then you can ask for the quatation.

Nigeria women believe if you friend them then it must be automatic marriage. Move on my dear and look for the right guy for you. Your swear won´t work, because the woman he is married to is innocent in all this and since he found his soul mate, let him enjoy his marriage.
Say no to bad bellerism.

cstr1000:
Over 90% of the goods coming to Nigeria from china are not of the highest quality. And yet Nigerians still buy them.
China is a global power and yet their goods are not the best quality around.
Nigeria is a third world nation and you want a UK-standard quality at the blink of an eye.
You don't know that quality improves with patronage. The machines and where-withal to produce best global standard products does not come cheap and easy.
If it was easy, china would not be producing inferior quality products which you buy.
No need to use bold letters to state your point or do you feel insecure or threaten? Please dont. it is only a forum and we are rubbing mind.

Regarding your points, you do know that the Chinese produces most of the top phones in the industry today (Foxconn)? What am saying is that, they do have both top quality and inferior goods in China. But there is nothing wrong is wishing that we also produce good quality goods now and in the future. We don´t need the excuse that because we are a 3rd world country then the citizenry should have inferior goods. This is even a good opportunity for the made in Aba to increase it local market share by producing something better than the Chinese.

Your father is a pensioner, if he had planned well for his retirement, he won't be in this mess. Dont be like your dad, plan ahead and invest in the poultry business no matter how small should you eventually get a job.
You sound like you are not living in Nigeria or knbow the workings. Plan well, how? Do you know how much HONEST civil servants make? You don´t know how many mouth the man had to feed or how steady he salary was or even how much he was earning while still working? Don´t assume what you don´t know. Am not dissing you, but wish you could be less insensitive.

To OP, try your best, get something to do and assist your parent as best as you can. God (or whatever you believe in) is your strenght. Like they say, what don´t kill you, will make you stronger.
Phones › Re: Why You Need To Choose Infinix Over Samsung! by DJInfluence: 10:37am On Aug 15, 2017
stevewheezy:
1.) Battery Life: Why do I need to always be with a power bank if my device battery life was ok? With Infinix, you may not always have to charge your device very 8 hours. Samsung batteries are dead wack!
Very true and mostly caused by the bloat on their phones.

stevewheezy:
2.) Fast Charging: It takes like forever to fully charge a Samsung device except you use a super fast charger of another brand like Infinix, huawei etc. In fact, the latest Infinix devices like the Note 4 pro, are super faster with the XCharge 4.0 technology.
totally wrong. It depends on if you get a Samsung model without a fast charge option, then it takes too long.

stevewheezy:
3.) Price: We all know that Infinix devices are much more affordable than Samsung devices and you get more value for your money with your Infinix device. Moreover, Why do I have to pay half the amount I bought the phone just to replace a cracked Samsung screen?
Very true. Samsungs phone are over priced. They cost outrageuosly too much even for the low end phones with inferior specs.

You also forgot to mentined that the samsung phones memory is filled with bloat that can only be disabled and not uninstall, hence taking a large percentage of your storage.
Business › Re: Made In Aba Goods Get A Global Marketing  boost by DJInfluence: 10:33am On Aug 15, 2017
Manufacturing is not the problem, the quality is. If they can produce something of better quality than the chinese, then they stand a better chance. But knowing my fellow Nigerians, we are not different from the chinese with production of inferior quality goods.
