HungerBAD: The amount I invested in the MMM scheme was N100,000. I was expecting my 30 per cent profit when I got the news that our accounts have been suspended. It was a bitter news. Being a student, the fund was raised to pay my school fees and to meet other basic needs. It is a great risk but many students enrolled in the scheme to make profit and to live a better life. If MMM crashes, I would accept it as my fate. I will have to look for other ways to source my school fees. There is nothing I can do. I will only learn from it and not engage in such a scheme again.
A friend introduced me to participate in the MMM scheme. Being a lucrative one, I decided to benefit too, having heard of the success stories. I invested N40, 000 in the scheme. The money is for my final year project and my feeding allowance. It will be very painful if MMM crashes. Considering my investment, it will be a big loss for me. My plan was to use the profits from the scheme to finance my final year project and to meet other needs. I am seriously praying that the suspension should be lifted so I can reclaim my funds.
— Faniyi Inumidun, Accounting department, AAUA
A friend in my department started talking about MMM excitedly. He said MMM was a new online business platform that credits you with 30 percent interest of your payment in 30 days. I said waoh! I never took interest in it until the need to tackle certain needs arose.
On Tuesday when the news that the MMM had been suspended came in, I was expecting bank alert of roughly N500,000. I raised the fund to participate in the scheme from my pocket money. If the scheme crashes, it will be a big loss to me. Just last week, I lost to an online business called ‘coin fever,’ it all happened within minutes. I have always known that MMM would crash soon. If it crashes, it will hurt me but life goes on. I participated in the scheme despite the risks to upgrade my life and to beat the current economy recession. There are so many financial needs to meet up with such as paying my school fees, buying text books and other learning materials as well as other dues in the school.
The latest investment I made in MMM was N100,000, but in total, I invested over N250,000 in the scheme. I got money to invest in MMM from other businesses that I run as a student. I didn’t have any special plan for the money I would make from MMM. With the profit, I would upgrade my lifestyle and improve my life. I had always known that it would crash one day as it is not a sustainable scheme. But I always prayed that my money doesn’t get stuck when it eventually crashes. I will feel the impact of the loss if it crashes. MMM is not my only business. I do other things that fetch me money.
— Martin Mundus Unakwe, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, FUTO, Owerri
A friend of mine told me to join MMM when I told him I needed some money. I decided to try my luck with the money. When I saw many students making money, I joined the trend. I actually participated in the scheme because I needed to meet up with some basic school needs. For example, when I offered to provide “help” of N50,000, in the following month, I collected N75,000, with a gain of N25,000 without working or stressing myself.
I basically invested in it because of the high return on investment. In this period of recession, it became a way out. I will say I belong to the lucky category of investors. I got all my money back last month before the accounts were frozen; I decided not to participate in it again because I was scared.
It is hard to believe that the money of other participants is going to be paid back. I hope and pray they lift the ban in January as they promised.
— Ifediora Sylvia, Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State
Someone introduced me to MMM and he talked excitedly about it. I invested N30,000 in the MMM business. The money was what I made from a project I did for someone. Being a final year student, I am already preparing for graduation. I figured out that before my NYSC, there are things I could do if I have some cash. It will be painful if the scheme crashes Against an imminent crash, which I have been praying against, I will move on with life. This is because, from the outset, I understood the risk involved.Life is all about risk.
thank God all of you are literates. the warning sign: USE ONLY YOUR SPARE MONEY...so I believe its your spare money you use..sha don't worry we are embracing a better and more organized MMM system come 2017
fratermathy: Hahaha. WE tell them o. I don't feel any iota of pity for anyone.
When we warned them they thought we were jealous. Let them go and commit suicide if they like and see if Mavrodi will bury them.
is it your money or is it your suicide...you say you were warning them and you don't even know the person they are talking of...don't drink panadol for another mans headache
shakaz: a system to handle what? Human behaviour? Please mister, man's natural instinct would prompt everyone to want to GH our of fear of losing their money.

Jyds14: *Guider makes N5billion cool cash *Many suffer high blood pressure
By Olajide Fashikun, Collins Ajibola, Oluwole Francis and Sandra Onyekwere
As thousands of Nigerian participants and investors continue to groan and moan, some even cursing, over the ‘crash’ of the popular ponzi scheme, otherwise known as MMM, investigations has revealed that one Chuddy Anayo Ugorji, popularly referred to as “The MMM-Nigeria number one Guider,” may have allegedly raked over N5billion within a year from the embattled system.
An analyst says Nigerians (figure yet to be compiled) lost in excess of N8.765billion to the scheme. Many people borrowed loans and some sold their properties to be able to participate in anticipation of funding the Christmas and New Year with the profit margin that was to come with their principal.
An Abuja-based lawyer dipped his hands into some client funds in the chambers to invest N1million just 24 hours before the crash of the scheme. Several official institutional warnings were issued about the dangers inherent in the scheme which was known to have crashed in other nations of the world.
According to a social media pundit, Olushola Oke, “Chuddy is the head Admin of MMM, he is the one who brought MMM into Nigeria, he is the one who runs things at MMM just the way Mark Zuckerberg runs Facebook. People fail to realise that a Website cannot create itself, a human being has to see through its day to day activities and Chuddy is the one behind MMM and the same Chuddy is also a participant of this same MMM and this same Chuddy is also the number one Guider on this same MMM.
“Don’t you already see that there is already A Red flag? He even collected a whopping N6million payment on the 8th of December! As at the last check, 94,774 persons had bought into the scheme.
Crash story is a ruse: Promoters of MMM Nigeria, known as Guiders have urged Nigerians to remain calm as the one month freezing of all accounts of the scheme is a measure adopted to ensure sustainability and stability of the scheme. The system which entails the Providing Help (PH) and the Getting Help (GH) also assured that there is nothing to worry about since the ‘FROZEN ACCOUNT’ period is even the best time to provide help.
I know so many of you don't understand English...crash and frozen are two different words with different meanings....if MMM go for one month off and you say it has crashed, what will you say about states that can't pay salaries for over three months....all this anti-mmm, please be wise in talking na, abi na your money....face tour life and leave other people there...you hear!!!!
dipoolowoo: At least one person was feared dead while several others were wounded in a stampede at various banks in Warri, Delta State, after the promoters of the popular Mavrodi Mundial Moneybox (MMM) suspended the accounts of about 3.3 million Nigerian participants.
It was learnt that the participants in the Ponzi scheme, who heard about the announcement yesterday, rushed to their banks to verify. Investigation shows that in one of the busiest banks in Warri metropolis, an elderly man, who was expected to cash N1.5 million slumped and died when he could not cash the money.
Two other persons, who slumped in the same manner, were quickly revived by sympathisers. Scores of others sustained serious injuries as they rushed to get their hard earn money.
Bank officials refused to speak on the issue. Meanwhile, bandits were cashing in on the confusion and rowdy situation to extort money and rob customers who have continued to besiege banks.
with all due respect, you so dumb about the activities of MMM, who told you they pay at the bank...abeg nor the embarass yourself with stories...if you looking for traffic, don't use MMM because we too organise to follow bullshit stories like this.
zico530: Anyone can do that. A snake is powerless when it swallows prey for at least 1_2hrs.
Oga stop been jealous and just celebrate the guy..not everybody can do that...so u saying people that has phobia for snake will do that...encourage people and stop castigating them..there are a thousand and one things u can't do that others can
Elijahrona: Gb stands for governing body. These men are the anointed leaders of Jehovah's witnesses worldwide.
They sent a letter.. Not just to Nigerian congregations but to congregations worldwide.
I attended our weekly meetings today and a letter warning against any ponzi schemes was read.
Can't say everything in it sha but the details were: 1. Trust God for all your financial needs
2. If you're not sure whether the scheme would crash or not, don't introduce it to your brothers
3. Never be driven by the love of money
4. Satan is looking for ways to drive Christians into his court. Try to be vigilant
At the end of the letter, Hebrew 13: 5 and 6 was read.
Thank God i didn't go mmm or anyone
your report is good and its not condemning MMM or any scheme, its only advising you..read the number two of if you don't understand, get someone mature minded to explain those quotes to u. have a blessed sunday thank God I entered into it...I can pay my tithe weekly,I can answer the needs of people now and I can have enough food on my table...
DesChyko: That is so sad. With the kind of resources input in our justice department, there is no excuse why it should be the way it is. Laws are supposed to keep us 'human'.
please OK we should be using the law they use in keeping save those politicians that steal our money for common criminals..I support you BUT wait till God forbid you faced with a life or death situation with a robber and he must have inflicted serious injury on you before you finally overpower him, then we can now come to review this issue you raising because by then your mentality would have a clear picture of what these guys called robbers do.
Nateben: It can only be a Miracle. I've been jobless for close to 1 year now, no place to go, depression and brokeness. So, on that faithful Sunday, the very last week of September, my brothers friend came to the house, we got talking and I made mention of my condition, before he left, he took my contact, and told me I'll hear from him. So last week Monday, he asked me to come to his office at VI, he works with a well known bank in this country, I got there before 10am and met him in his office, he was telling me about the nature of the job, and just as he got to the part of asking how much I would like as my salary, his boss walked in to pick a document, and as he was leaving, the guy drew his attention, by telling him that I am the guy for the inventory job, he shook me and sat down, then asked if I like the job, and I replied Yes. He then asked if I was married, I replied No, he asked lots of questions, which I just gave simple replies. At last he asked me to choose monthly or weekly pay, I quickly chose weekly, then he asked how much I want per week, I didn't waste time in saying 30k, he was silent for some seconds and asked if I am good with Excel and I said No. He smiled and said he wouldn't pay me such amount if I'm not good with Excel, he offered 20k and asked me to bring someone who is good with Excel to be collecting 10k per week, with free transport, breakfast and lunch, before I could say jack, that my brothers friend said he has a sister who would do the typing, so his boss got up, and asked me to start on Tuesday and left.
Nature of my job.... They have so many tagged cartons, with big files inside, my job is to write down the tag number on the carton, then open it, and write down the contents, some cartons contain only two files inside, I just write down what is written on the two files...
I come out by 7 in the morning at my Junction, and office bus picks me up, I don't follow them back because I close by 4, and I can wear anything I want to work. On Friday, I was still on my way to work when alert came in, I was payed in full, despite starting on Tuesday...
So, to anyone looking or hoping for a job, be prayerful, God still answers prayers, but I advise you to learn Microsoft Office, full package, it really helps...
Peace I'm out.
praise the Lord. congrats man...I connect to your miracle that I get a job while doing my masters this month in Jesus name

uyi26: Many people don’t seem to realize the benefit of legalizing guns in Nigeria. They think of the disadvantages alone, not the advantages. Why are we narrow-mindedly opinionated about this issue?
1. Men go into a house to rape a defenseless girl. Would they try that if they knew she’s armed with a gun? Rapists want to rape and live, not to rape and die.
2. Many aged parents still cry days and nights, while their broken souls plead for vengeance. Their innocent children were killed in Jos and elsewhere while they were serving their fatherland.
3. In Nigeria, most criminals want to do bad things to people and go scot-free. If they knew people had guns as well, they would think twice.
4. I must be blunt, what gives most criminals the gut to attack people is because people are defenseless. If 20 assassins go to a man’s house, they’ll kill him. But the man can kill up to 3 of them before he dies. This is better than when the man is killed without being able to kill anyone in return.
5. One-Chance, terrorists, herdsmen, militants, money ritualists, armed robbers, thugs, bullies, etc., are able to go away unscathed in most cases because their victims don’t have guns. To be frank, those who attack you have power over you only because they’re armed and you’re not.
6. If most members communities have guns in their hands, do you think armed robbers would like to go to their lion’s den to molest them?
7. Militants that terrorize communities would be afraid to do so; unless they’re going on suicide missions. The same is true of mad Jihadists. No mad or rabid dog would deliberately run into a burning fire.
8. Domestic violence would cease…. A corrupt cop would cease pointing their gun to a poor and helpless okada rider because of N100.
9. Lazy thugs that collect money they don’t work for would think twice before they start cursing or threatening their victims, ordering for money they don’t work for.
10. It’s true, many people would die. But the remaining people alive would sit right. They would show respect for one another. Politeness would prevail and crimes would be reduced to almost zero. Isn’t there any sense in this?
P.S Seun please tell your mods to move this to the front page.
Bros if they legalise gun,the masses that will still suffer..can u compare a pistol to a AK47,so if you dont have money to bhy AK47 and u settle for pistol, how u wan shoot pistol wen armed robbers hold AK47...secondly we will be worse than Jamaica and south Africa in percentage of murders..you won't have a neighbour, teacher because anyone that offend you u would want to kill, and think of how many people that envy u or dislike you because you are progressing..bros that's a negative suggestion oooo..we are black with black heart o

danieloy4: Imagine you found yourself in a Sitting Arrangements like this in An Exam, how do you Cope,What has your experience been like?
For some of us as Students while in school or out of school the period of exams is the best/worst days in school. At some point we definitely must have gone through this sitting arrangements during exams probably when it is selective or departmental courses. There are a few things we dread prior to the day of the exams like; the moments we see exams timetable, the exam venues, the course itself esp if it's the one you don't like at all and the lecturer and the so-called dreaded exam invigilators that you don't want to see on your exam days at all. Etc.
Mehn, there are just so many scenarios, backup plans and experiences one has gone through on exams days especially when sitting arrangements like this doesn't favor you or your friends that you have formed Formation on who would be the Striker,Midfielder and everything just falls apart on that day Or shey na Expo you don carry, keep but that lecturer go just stick to you like glue and no go comot your side and you're in your final year in school?
What do you love or hate about exam sitting arrangements like this while in school?
this the normal sitting arrangement in School of agriculture, FUTMinna, Niger state
I am not saying I support her killing o!! But God knows in my heart, I have beaten the shiit out of these early Morning Nuisances that call themselves preachers.
These preacher people need to learn to respect peoples privacy and peace. They come at ungodly hours with megaphones to preach about things they don't even fully know about and disturb the peace and quiet of the neighborhood.
I have set my Dogs on a few of them in the past and even confiscated the Megaphone and Bible of one.
Killing her was extreme and for that they must face the full wrath of the Law but these Pastors need to call their people off.
is the main road your land or is your fence at the center of the main road...so if someone had a processing factory close to your house that make noise always, you will tell the person to switch off the engine..a person preaching with megaphone and engine noise...what's the difference...its only a scared person that would say someone is disturbing.... am a Christian but if a mosque is preaching via English, I listen and pick what ever I need to pick..why u talking like this is because it as not happened to someone close to u...
falcon01: Reports have it that a recent United Nations document condemned teaching kids about God saying it’s a violation of their human rights. The UN Committee report on the rights of children indicated that such things like taking your child to church and schools where they’re forced to partake in Christian meetings is violating their human rights. The document likened teaching kids Christianity to child labor. As learnt, it was complied by a group of ‘independent experts of high moral character’. Group members representing various countries demanded of the world to rise against laws enforcing daily acts of Christian worship at schools. To them, such and similar religious enforcement, are capable of hampering on a child’s freedom of thought, conscience and religion. Although the report was specifically meant to highlight possible ways Britain is violating the UN’s charter on the Rights of the Child, it made inferences to the world at large. An excerpt from the document said: “the Committee is concerned that pupils are required by law to take part in a daily religious worship. Which is, wholly or mainly of a broadly Christian character in publicly funded schools in England and Wales. And, that children do not have the right to withdraw from such worship without parental permission before entering the sixth form.” With the above, the Committee recommended that “the State party repeal legal provisions for compulsory attendance at collective worship in publicly funded schools and ensure that children can independently exercise the right to withdraw from religious worship at school.” Already, parents can withdraw their children from collective worship in Britain. The Committee however, wants to hand the kids the right to take decision in this regard themselves. Many have lashed the report asking the compilers to honorably trash it. For instance, Parliament Minister David Burrowes said: “the collective act of worship is not an indoctrination exercise. It is recognizing and respecting the Christian heritage of the country and giving people an opportunity to reflect before the beginning of the day.” Among other things, the document demanded of the British government to crush domestic abuse and protect kids from being spanked by their parents.
then taking a child to school is violation of human right, telling a child to keep quiet while eating is violation of human right, telling a child to sleep around 9 saying its bed time is violation of human right, telling a child to be in the house at a specific time of the day is violation of human rights...God help Nigeria... pls tell UN that it is not a country with people bearing its name and having culture, so they should stop dictating and raising funny surveys...where did they even get their reports from, did they question the little children
[quote author=officialblogger post=46770223]This is blasphemy !! Buh who am I to judge[/quote
am not here to judge or argue but a food for thought...pls is there any material that is sent from God or dress code that is sent from God to be tagged spiritual....men of God wear suit mostly and aprons....now some cultist also wear apron, so wud u say is blasphemy too....people are free to wear what ever they want to wear as far as its not exposing any sensitive part...its the inner mind that matters...so a man that takes a prostitute on with his apron on means he is blasphemy dress is dress, what matters between u and God is ur heart..

mile12crises: Nigeria’s power generation collapsed completely on Thursday at exactly 12.58pm to zero megawatt and this persisted for about three hours.
Data from the country’s System Operator showed that around 1pm on Thursday, no power generation company in Nigeria produced a single megawatt of electricity.
Industry operators told our correspondent that as a result of the complete collapse, no electricity distribution company received load allocation beginning from when the collapse was recorded up till around 3pm.
The SO stated that the 11 distribution companies got zero electricity load allocation during the period of the collapse, meaning that for about three hours on Thursday no part of Nigeria got power supply from the national grid.
Our correspondent, however, gathered that supply of electricity was restored around 3pm.
For instance, out of the 450MW that was due Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, the Disco only got about 50MW when the situation began to improve.
Before the collapse, AEDC got an allocation of 257.97MW and the nationwide generation level stood at 2,243.2MW. Sources in the sector blamed the complete collapse in power generation on the extent of destruction of infrastructure and gas pipelines vandalism that had happened in the industry over the past years, as well as the poor upgrade of power installations across the country.
“The power crisis being experienced nationwide since Tuesday this week has worsened on Thursday with a total system collapse at exactly 12.58pm this afternoon. At that point, the nation went to ground zero, with all the Discos receiving zero MW allocation from the System Operator,” an operator in the sector told our correspondent in confidence. Officials from the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing as well as private investors, had attributed the never-ending fall in electricity generation to vandalism of gas pipelines and destruction of vital infrastructure in the industry by miscreants.
“Aside pipelines vandalism, some miscreants have been involved in the destruction of vital power infrastructure and this has been affecting not just generation but transmission and distribution as well,” a senior official at the power ministry who spoke on condition of anonymity as he was not authorised to speak on the matter, had said. The official also stressed that the ongoing difficulty in the downstream oil industry was also impacting negatively on the power sector.
Sorry to say ooooo, is it after ApC took over that they destroyed the engines and pipeline because wen PDP was der, we didn't have issues of total collapse of electricity..so I don't know were they are getting all this excuse oooo..this is the result of not been sensitive in selecting pple into position..God help Naija my lovely country
