14: At the end of this, foreigners will be the loosers. SA will be forced to tighten the immigration laws. Remember SA government 1st priority is SA citizens. So, there will be lots of changes True we foreigners would leave...and guess what?...expect same retaliatory responses from their home countries. At least you know,Naija is "Tit for Tat". |

14: In which country?
The very same poor South Africans aren't the ones giving them economic opportunity. Unless foreigners start respecting South Africans in their own country, things like these will always come up everytime. How do you insult your host day in and day out and expect no retaliation. I am not supporting this xenophobia or Afrophobia, whatever you wanna call it. But i blame both sides, south africans and foreigners. How do you go to America and start insulting americans, instead of blending in with the local communities and become part of them. The biggest mistake foreigners make in South Africa, is to isolate themselves. It becomes "Them and us"
Foreigners have no close contact with their host, hence we have this issue on our hands. Even zimbabweans who are very close to South africa, isolate themselves. South Africans by their nature, are very sceptical about the unknown, there is more education that needs to happen both sides. Whats happening is just an embarrasment to the black race. We have 400 africans dying trying to cross to Italy, whats wrong with us. Are we a hopeless race?
I have to commend the Ghanaians, Batswanas, basothos, zwasis, zambians, malawians, they blend easily to local communities, the rest, they keep their distance hailing insults to their host. Its rare to find a Nigerian, zimbabwean, mozambican, congolese, ethiopian or somalians with a South African friend, it does not happen, why? Are you sure about this?....I've been here a while and i disagree with your opinion on this. |

jayymysterio: Georgia as in the country in Eurpoe and not the state in the US. Four Nigerian students, (four pictured below), were found dead in an apartment on Vazha-Pshavela Avenue in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi yesterday night Wednesday April 8th. Three of the boys were students at Tbilisi State Medical University and one at Georgia’s University.
Police are saying the boys died from gas poisoning due to a faulty water heater in their apartment.
Friends of the students were worried when they hadn't heard from the roommates all day, which was unusual. They called police who broke into the students’ apartment and found their bodies. The bodies have been taken to the National Forensic Bureau.
Friends of the victims, who are Nigerians, say they want a proper investigation into what happened. They also wanted the Nigerian public to be aware of this incident so reached out to LIB. Will bring updates on this. May their souls rest in peace, amen.

Politics › Re: Revenue Allocation To States In Nigeria By FG (2014) by donodion(m): 10:31am On Apr 09, 2015 |
lionness:
The allocation is monthly sir. The entire amount shared in 2014 was a whopping 7.7 trillion, while the country made 77 Billion USD from crude alone. What made Lagos State Monthly allocation to be that high is just the VAT: Value Added Tax paid by the people, and the businesses into the federal account. 13% of the VAT gets Lagos allocation that big. I am just extremely confused why Akwa Ibom should be ahead of PH, a state that's the closest to Lagos regarding VAT generation into the FED's purse. Anyways, here's how they pay each state:
1 Gross Statutory Allocation 2 13% Share of Derivation Goes only to the SS 3 External Debt Deductions Lagos tops this table, but with its 100 Billion monthly IGR, the State is paying back its debts steadily 4 Contractual Obligation Deductions such as SWF, ECA, IMF, Etc 5 Crude Oil Excess Proceeds Goes to majorly to SS, and every other state get some part of it 6 Other Deductions 7 VAT Allocations Led by Lagos, PH, Kano, Kaduna, Oyo and Delta 8 Net Statutory Allocations The total sum
Akwa Ibom remains the ONLY state to have collected as much as 4 trillion naira since the past 8 years. The first State in Nigeria, to collect roughly over 1 trillion within 4 years. I still think the esteemed Governor could have turned that state to some Dubai. I dont think his accomplishment are that mammoth.
Please, someone should share, how much each state contributes to the FED yearly. But sincerely, the EFCC needs to start killing our GOVERNORS. Especially, that useless Delta and Oyo state governors! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhjhhhhhjh O-S-A-N-O-B-U-A!!!!!!! IN THE MIDST OF ABUNDANCE YET OUR CITIZENS LACK......J-E-S-U-S,My countrymen,we need to set aside tribalism and religious extrimism. We need sound, trained, qualified, committed and experienced persons to run states and (LG) municipal affairs. I am at despair as I read this figures. |

CHM11: 6 months bro, as shown in the picture. Jan to June 2014 My goodness... We have very bad managers SBD administrators in polity. Akwa ibom should be eldo radio with the approved allocations.in fact Nigerians should be issued visas to visit the state.Besides,Cross river and Akwa Ibom are neighbours, they share common coastline, a sensible business minded patriot would see the need for a port establishment in that state. The South South and South East bound cargo would easily be diverte there, cutting Lagos cargo port serious slack. The coastlines alone is an invitation for modern recreational and tourist infrastructures with guaranteed consistent turn over and employment opportunities for the indigenes and residents. Tolls plazas alone is another revenue generation medium for the state...OMG!!!! This is one of the reasons why I respect Donald Duke till date.Peeps like him are deep thinkers.....over N100 BILLION every 6 months ?? I swear if I'm the state ( province) administrator the indigenes would have no reason to go to SW besides sight seeing what the oduas look like. |

CHM11: Lagos is the second to Last of the Losers. Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwaibom and even cross Rivers lose more than Lagos. Only Edo state in the South south that is not losing higher than Lagos in terms of what you contribute to federal government purse to what you receive difference.
Internally generated revenue in Lagos stays in Lagos and I think Lagos pays tax to the federal government while the revenue generated from oil wells in the south south belongs to the federal government. Please tell I pray, the allocation is yearly, monthly or quarterly??. |

Same old trick all these years....we have kicked you out...pack and go to your village....you should be ashamed of yourself...under your regime...children were killed and kidnapped, innocent citizens were killed...slaughtered. But all you could do was "Mr President hereby CONDEMNS this and wants to assure you all that we shall bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice". Mr condemner in chief of the federal republic Up till today...not even an ant has been brought to justice over the killings. Is it not amazing that you sent the army to take over our territory from BH and not even one BH member was arrested? The BBC interviewer asked why and you said " well you know some of them ran into other countries while the others secretly reintegrated into our community" How clueless .
Goodbye to the govt of committees by committees and for commi-thieves.
As you pack out..remember that the Henry Okah case is waiting for you in south africa...you have been named as an accomplice and be ready to defend yourself. Hahahahaha you know his lines very well. |
