errrm,pls I can authoritatively say that not all marriages can be mended.In cases of abuse,especially where its physical I advice the party affected to get out FAST!!!I had a case of domestic violence in january..During the mediation session,my boss had to go out (being a man) to enable the woman show me her body.I was close to tears.The belt marks I saw were still fresh.On another occasion,he smashed a bottle of wine on her head.That resulted in a very deep cut on her forehead.I was shocked when my boss informed me last month that the lady passed out while the man was raining blows on her.She was confirmed dead on arrival at d teaching hospital.The husband is is presently in prison custody awaiting trial.The poor woman has died leaving her 3 kids.Till date,I stil remember her face,every conversation we had...I remember I told her to leave,give him space for sometime,she said their mama in church (pastor's wife) told her to keep praying and not to separate from her husband.That divorce is a sin..Well,instead of divorce,death actually dissolved the marriage!That's why I don't advice reconciliation when physical violence is involved.The stress and trauma of divorce has life altering unpleasant aftermaths,but sometimes,its better to let go.

I remember d this scenario in our church. Our senior pastor kept saying same thing but the woman was close to me.As such I told her to separate and ignore pastors advice.
I was openly punished in the midst of other church workers for this yet I remain indignant on my stand.
Thank goodness she heeded my brotherly advise,she would have been dead by now.

Whether its from the husband or wife,when "abuse" becomes a norm...separation could be the first aid needed, not fasting and praying.

Much has been written in recent decades about husbands abusing their wives, as it should. In more cases than we care to admit, husbands from a variety of backgrounds are physically and emotionally battering their wives with their fists and their words. Abuse in marriage, whatever form it takes, is ultimately about a pattern of exerting power and control over one one’s own way. When a marriage is marked by a one-sided pattern of control, the abusive spouse is not always the husband. Sometimes the abusive spouse is the wife.

While most wives are not able to control their husbands through physical threats and violence, some dominate their husbands through their words, looks, and other threatening actions. Similar to an abusive husband, an abusive wife may boss her husband around, talk down to him, call him humiliating names, and treat him in a very emasculating way. Generally speaking, her style of communication doesn’t invite open and free conversation. It tends to be intimidating or manipulative and is intended to shut her husband down. Whether it’s through a dirty look or a lecture, the point is unmistakable: He’s not there to think or share an opinion. He’s there to do not only what she tells him to do, but also how and when she wants it done.

Just as abusive men demand sexual intimacy without regard for their wives’ needs, abusive women can withhold affection or intimacy as a way of controlling their husbands. An abusive wife may also exert control by imposing arbitrary or erratic expectations. Of course, every marriage experiences painful moments of unreasonableness and control from both partners. But when those moments become the norm rather than the exception, it becomes abusive and denies a spouse the freedom to be who he or she is both within and outside of the marital relationship. Not unlike an abused wife, an abused husband feels coerced into being who his wife thinks he should be. Perhaps this is why the Bible doesn’t pull any punches when it states that “a quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping on a rainy day” (Proverbs 27:15) and that it is “better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and ill-tempered wife” (Proverbs 21:19).

Any marital relationship that is characterized by such patterns of control is not really a relationship. It is more like a dictatorship, where one partner rules over the other. Unfortunately, because of their own insecurities, most husbands in this situation let themselves get walked on and are afraid to stand up to the patterns of control with courage and love. Others try to ignore the way they are mistreated, only to blow up and turn mean or abusive. Neither is a godly response and is nearly always a sign of a man who has lost his heart.

Some Agencies were established by Act of the parliament, and as such it will require parliamentary action to repeal or amend any relevant sections to achieve merger. die waiting many years for their meagre
pensions to be paid; and civil servants are

president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, can
change all of this on his own without the
help of the masses. The stakes are high and
corruption will fight back in the form of
threats of impeachment. Buhari will do well
to appeal over the heads of legislators direct
to the people and Nigerians on their part
must be ready to come out in peaceful demonstrations to force the legislators to change the laws that make this banditry possible.

This callous treatment of the people by a few cannot continue whether at national or
state level. It was puzzling reading the account of the embattled Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly narrating how
he and his colleagues were each given N200, 000 of state money for transport by the governor when they paid him a visit.
This was narrated as if it was normal behaviour. In a sane country the Speaker, his colleagues and the governor will be in prison by now.
Like a pack of wolves to the prey, governors
have muscled their way into the Senate in
large numbers, no doub to continue
feeding their greed at the nation’s expense.
They will yet again collect as senators, all the allowances they will receive as ex-
governors. So, in effect, they will be paid double allowances for the same expense; furniture, domestic staff, car allowance and
so on, including allowances for accommodation even though they are entitled to free houses in Abuja as ex-governors. In addition, they will be paid as senators a package believed to be in excess of N30m a month, the highest remuneration of any lawmaker in the world.
Not even the world’s richest economy, with a GDP 35 times that of Nigeria, pays its legislators this much. Our legislators take home in a month more than twice what permanent secretaries and our army generals receive as gratuity after 35 years of
public service.
Being in public office in Nigeria is like winning the lottery. It is no wonder they kill to get into office. If you imagine for one moment a state with four surviving ex--governors, by the time the state finishes paying these individuals and the incumbent, there will be no money left for anyone else. Sadly, these stupendous benefits are believed to be widespread in the public sector and in hundreds of our parastatals, especially revenue generating agencies, where board members arrogate to themselves outrageous benefits and pensions packages. They do it because they can; sheer theft clothed in legality!
Although the searchlight is mainly on the Federal Government, state governments are believed to be the citadel of corruption in Nigeria. The president elect must resist any attempt by governor to impose ministerial nominees on him. He must use the best people for the job wherever he can find them. Apart from perhaps a few progressive governors, the majority of state governors have served Nigeria poorly. A state like Delta State, for instance, at the height of the oil boom was receiving revenue allocations in excess of $100m a month; revenue allocations that far exceeded the income of many African countries that have to maintain national armies. With the resources at the disposa of oil rich states like Delta, we should have a Dubai or a
Singapore in Nigeria. Instead, state funds
were squandered between the governors,
the state lawmakers, traditional rulers and
the so-called elder statesmen who pretend to mean well for Nigeria when all they really care about is their belly. Yet, these governors are feted ever day with meaningless awards by their cohorts in the private sector, when they should really be in the dock for the mismanagement of public funds. They build schools they don’t send their children, roads they don’t use and hospitals where people go to die because of lack of equipment.
The mantra of the Nigerian Army as they regained territories previously overrun by Boko Haram is so apt for the whole of Nigeria at this juncture in our history –
“NEVER AGAIN”!. This slogan should be embedded in our national flag to depict the change Nigerians expect from the incoming government. We cannot continue a system that exists primarily to serve the interest of the few at the expense of the masses. We cannot have a system of governance that is based on patronage where the best people cannot get access to jobs in the Civil Service because they do not have a ‘godfather’. We must look again at the governance structure and processes in both federal and state tiers of government that make it easy
for corruption to strive.
The harrowing plight of the hundreds of women and children that were rescued from the Sambisa Forest was distressing; children that will never know a father or a brother because of a government that was asleep on the wheel.

I'm a big booty chic,and I've had quite a number of embarrassing events as a result of this.

Just yesterday I went to civic centre at ozumba mmbadiwe to meet with a client,parked my car,got out and was heading to the managers office with my client. I saw a couple coming behind me,from the way they dressed I could tell they were yoruba. Turned around to see it was the woman whom I noticed earlier,she was addressing her husband. She must have been in her early 40s ,I guess and her husband,mid 50s.

Lol,apparently,her husband had been gawking....at my butt. I was wearing a pair of white leggings and a white top,nothing bad.


After she lashed at her husband(people were already looking), she turned to me and started insulting me,called me indecent, a husband snatcher and how I dressed the way I did to lure men away from their wives. From her utterances,I could tell she was an "omo eko".




I stopped right in my tracks,turned to her and cautioned her,the fact that she was older didn't give her the right to talk to me the way she did. I gave her a piece of my mind and walked away,she looked on without saying anything.


Wasn't my fault her husband couldn't keep his eyes off my butt. My silly client just kept laughing.


I've had other embarrassing situations like this but this was just too much. Big booty chics,share ur tales of embarassments.
