Last time i checked, this woman is one of the few Nigerians still trying to make sure that the Chibok girls do not remain forgotten and they are reunited with their parents.
That makes her one of the few living heroes we have in Nigeria, and a good deal more brave, more honorable and more GODLY than your cowardly self who will NEVER achieve anything near what this woman has achieved.

Correct!

What she is doing with the #Bringbackourgirls campaign is a good deal more important than anything she could be doing in the Redeemed Camp.

With the way some Nigerians think and especially 'children' on nairaland, you begin to think the predictions of the Americans will come to pass.

I can't imagine reading some post here of people castigating the Americans. Its simply absurd. I know, 99% of Nigerians don't watch nta again(dstv our new national tv), so its simply absurd when th9se who watch CNN and hear the news about the international community, will know that Russia is one of the worst countries on earth today, with their invasion of Ukraine.

But, some Nigerians, because of their foolish and tribalistic tendencies, and their believe in 'its our turn', just post rubbish on nairaland.

If you like, believe it or not, GEJ regime is the worst in the history of Nigeria.

I know your parents wont be and has not being sincere with you in telling you about Nigeria, because some of them fought and lost the civil war and thereby, refused to accept what really happened.

Some beer parlour rumours when I was young has it that Ojukwu told Awolowo at the airport that they were going but Awolowo backstab him. History and recent revelations has brought light into the whole lies.

Come to think of it, its only in the west that the igbos are truly free apart from the east in Nigeria, but this same children, are bound in making the same mistake their fathers made.

Back to the topic, the Russians arr well known for tgeir double dealing, and it wont be a surprise to those who know and those who listen to world news that the russians can do what they just did.

The Americans refused to sell weapons to the Nigerian government because they know the truth about the boko haram fights. They are well aware that the Nigerian government are lying about the fight againt the insurgents and that most of the weapons will fall into wrong hands.

Imagine, boko haram moving in multitudes with trucks and at times APCs, and not detected by our securities even in a war situation.

Please, Nigerians, think.
O shey paddy mi.You dont even need to beg them. Some are just too wicked to accept glaring realities while some hinged on tribal affiliation to keep surpporting a failed govt.

If history wont fail me,it was a time like this during Shehu Shagaris so called austerity measures that his govt was toppled.

I asked.myself..was this a revenge against the north for the destructions and pilliaging of the Niger Delta, that so much blood and lives had been wasted? If it were to be...then states such as Bayelsa,Delta,Ebonyi and the vast Ijaw lands should have become heaven on earth with fantastic structures and sofiak benefits for the region benefits....but for where....

Its only tthe likes of boyloaf, tompolo, asari, edward clark and their illiterate cohorts fully enjoying the dividends meant for the people.

Let them keep praising kleptomaniacs ruling over them.Their futures and generations unborn has already been use for playing ludo.

FamilyRe: Advice Needed On Movement Restriction Of Grown Female Children. by donodion(m): 11:10am On Dec 05, 2014
Ezibless:
Something happened last night that really got me thinking.

I know some parents can be very protective of their children, especially female children, by restricting their movements.
Some would just allow them visit few selected friends and others would be limited to just church, market, school, home, that's all. I kinda fall under the latter shagrin

It didn't really bother me while growing BECAUSE i felt with time, the level of restriction would reduce.
(did i just say it really didn't bother mehuh I been just dey endure o, as per say i be one obedient child grin)
we're well brought up o,don't get it twisted.wink

Fast forward>>>

I graduated from school of midwifery early this year and i've been at home waiting for our MSS service.
Apart from a secondary school female friend which i seldomly visit,it's stil been the usual church,market... Stuff.

I got a call from my fellowship in school that they'd be having the sent forth of probably the last christian set in the school (did i tell you i stay in the north and the school stopped admiting christain students?...well,that's a story for another day).

Back to story...

The remaining christain students are just TWO. And they're two of my three very good friends.
So attending the sent forth is not an option for me because;

1. I am not doing anything at the moment,as in, work.
2. They are my very good friends.
3. I bought them jaw dropping gifts with the last cash on me because i felt they deserved it.
4. I have no other means of delivering it, except i go.
5.
6.
7.............100000000000

I don't wanna bore you with the reasons.

I hinted the news of the sent forth to my mom few days back, she didn't say anything and her countenance didn't even change.

I come feel say i get hope say i go go ooo.

Last night around 10:30pm or so,my mom and I were gisting and laughing in my room then i remembered that i haven't gotten a definite answer from her about my journery to school(about 2 and half hours journey). Then this conversation ensued between us...

Me: ehen...mom,i'd be going to school on saturday for the sent forth i told you about.
Mom: No!
(no be even question i ask o,na just statement i make )
me: but y?
Mom: nothing. You're through with school nothing should take you there again!

I opened my mouth to talk, but nothing came out.
My mouth was agape til she got up and left my room without a word.

A soldier walked pass me that moment and i gave him 3 dirty slaps!!!

#it happened in my mind sha.
That was how vexed i was!

Since then til now i've been thinking of how to convince her to let me go to the extent that all my prayers this morning was centered on itsad.

I just wonder if she didn't realise that i'm no longer 2year old. I'd be turning 22 in 5 days time for crying out loud!

Don't get me wrong,my mom is very sweet and loving,we're like ''5 and 6''. It just this her ''over protective'' attitude that i don't like.

So what i want from you guys is:

1. To give me hints on how to go about convincing her because those ladies won't forgive me if i don't come. Plus,i don't wanna return the gift i bought.
2. At what age should parent stop this movement restriction thinghuh

Puleeaaaseee help!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance.

lalasticlala:
Fast-rising singer, Adokiye Kyrian, has shown to the world how adorable her body figure could be. She recently displayed her ‘sexy’ body to the world to see.

Not only that, the singer urged Nigerians, especially ladies, to embrace swimming at least once in a week.

“Stay fit always. Good health is wealth. Cultivate the habit of swimming once in a week at least. Don't cheat your bones and body. Treat it right,” she said.

It would be recalled that in June 2014, Adokiye was in the news when she offered her woman’s pride, her virginity to Boko Haram for the release of over 200 secondary school girls kidnapped in April 2014 by members of Boko Haram sect. She was highly criticised for her offer. Some claimed she was using the girls’ abduction for publicity stunt.

KAMPALA

Youth and Children Affairs minister Ronald Kibuule yesterday paid the family a courtesy call alongside his family that shared gifts with Arnella.

“My children watched the video and insisted on seeing your daughter. I have not slept or concentrated on work since I watched the clip on social media. I am happy God saved her,” he told the family, reaching out for the victim baby girl who protested any stranger’s warmness.

Mr Kibuule condemned the maid’s action, sending a strong message against child abuse and advising parents to exercise due diligence before employing domestic staff under whose care their children’s future is laid.

The video, he said, has opened the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development’s eyes. “We are going to design a legal and policy frame work to regulate maids and other domestic staff because they are unprofessional. We want to put in place basic professional requirements so that companies that recruit maids are registered and maids who are exploited and abused by their bosses too have protection,” he said.

A visibly happy Kibuule said, “I am happy to learn that she is in Luzira. I thought she was at large; I was going to put personal money to ensure she is apprehended so she faces the law. This is unacceptable. It is abominable. I shall keep in touch with the family and follow this to its logical conclusion.”

The youthful minister argued that the force and ruthlessness with which Arnella was beaten calls for a charge of attempted murder rather than torture, which police had earlier preferred against the maid.

BusinessRe: Ban Air France From Nigeria Now! by donodion(m): 8:01am On Nov 22, 2014
nefertitiram:
Is it by force to fly Air France? It doesn't make sense to call for a ban because of one man who feels he has impeccable writing skills.
Is it the french's fault our people have messed up home and abroad? Who told you its only France that does extra passport check? I have experience this in Madrid, flying Iberia and once on London, flying Virgin Atlantic. Infact the Virgin Atlantic own came with very fierce looking dogs, the way I screamed and jumped when I saw the dogs, one policeman had to catch me before I fell and helped me pass the dogs because of my serious phobia for dogs, esp as I wasn't expecting to see dogs at the foot of the plane.
The policeman said that the dogs didn't bite and they do such things when they have information about something suspicious, it wasn't everytime that this was done! Perhaps there was a suspected drug courier on board.

What about on transiting Istanbul to New York, the airport authorities still carried out interviews and requested for return ticket before I could board a connecting flight!

So before Mr. OP starts to curse and swear at every civil servant trying to earn a living, he should understand why this is done, every country has to protect their borders even if ours doesn't. Besides, the OP failed to mention all he went through boarding the flight from Nigeria! It's like passing the eye of a needle. The most difficult take off point ever!
You missed it.His write up was not necessarily about himself but to bring to fore the malady Nigerian passport holders would face (already in practise anyway) while boarding and disembarking in france.

He very well wrote his experience and how he was able to boldly retain his integrity as a Nigerian despite bearing a canadian passport. Would he have been able to do same if he had flashed his naija passport?.
Many Nigerians at that instance he lambasted the french dude would either be fidgeting or even resort to begging to be freed or allowed passage.

I remember very well the story of the boy maltreated in egypt how it met cynism and rebuffs by many until minister viola stepped in and made it a national issue.

Nigerians do not have leaders but rulers. If this story does not meet social media ( which im sure is already in circulation and archived) attention, the treat will.go unabated.Ask anyone travelling through to egypt with egypt air if same treatment meted out to the boy is still been dished out to other Nigerians travelling there,im sure either the rascist tempo have receeded or hardly been brazenly diaplayed forthwith.

To the poster,writer and mod...kudos.
