He is right. Male lion cubs are pretty unfortunate as kids. They get chased out by the older males. That way the older males are sure the next mating season would bring forth kids that are theirs. Only the lionesses are absorbed into the pride, male cubs are not that fortunate. They leave, form alliance with other thrown-out cubs and get preyed on by hyenas and other carnivores. A good number of them do not make it to adulthood. When/if they make it to adulthood, they look for a pride to take over and the cycle continues.




Lions are manageable, people have understood and bonded with lions. Na the hyenas part I no just understand.

One male lion can take on 5 adult hyenas and kill them all. See dude the life of a male lion is a tragedy. It hurts me when this new campaign to dethrone them and overlook them as lazy sleepers who don't do much, goes around the internet. How else does a warrior prepare for battle if not to rest enough and heal from previous fights, how well will he fight other hyenas, join hands to bring down heavy size bulls, kill off leopards and cheetas that kill their cubs, if he does not sleep and rest well ahead of the fight ahead. The Lion pride has division of labour ... The female hunt while the male battle evils ....

Lions need to be prepared for the Battle ahead and their life is always a life of war because other Lions are set on the journey to take up their pride and after which all their cubs in that pride would be killed one after the other and all the lioness would be saved for mating and production of new cubs. ..... It is a shame to watch your cubs get killed one after the other ....

Also, a lion helps the lioness to take down stubborn Preys that's proves too difficult to be overpowered .... and Other stubborn beasts who are trying to steal their kills.

Lion's life is a very horrible life .... Outa 10 lions maybe just 2/3 survived to Adulthood ....

while 10/10 lioness would definitely survived unless their father get overpowered or Hyenas !!

It's a sad tale for the Lions.... One day you have a pride and you are proud another day, it's all gone.
