I agree. Afrocynic sounds like one of those janded people that are starved for culture. So to satisfy their hunger they insist we stoop down to the level of monkeys.

Well we refuse.

@Afrocynic I suggest you change your name to Euro cynic

I know many will disagree but there is a solid argument that can be made for the claim.

Funmilayo Ransome Kuti- First woman to drive in Nigeria

Ran the Alake out of town, challenged colonial authorities, died a martyr.

Beko Ransome kuti

Right in the midst of the anti Abacha movements. Generally an accomplished human rights activist

Olikoye

Accomplished Health minister. Introduced primary health care reforms

Fela Anikulapo

I won't even bother

Sports › Re: American Football Is Better Than Soccer! by doyin13(m): 9:01am On Jul 24, 2007
Two sissy sports in my opinion

The way in which the quaterback gets the ball from the centre patting his bum leaves a lot to be desired.

As a matter of fact there is simply too much bum smacking in American sports period

I guess its soccer then if i had to choose

Are you going to bet on a Democrat staying in Iraq for long if the body bags continue to mount?

If Ford could give up Vietnam to the Communists, I see nothing stopping the next Pres. from tactically withdrawing from Iraq.

He deserves everything coming his way, cause he is a slowpoke.Contrary to prior comments i know he will be found guilty of some counts , the feds will not levy an indictment of that magnitude on somebody of vicks status without some solid evidence. It is clear to me now that the vick brothers are morons, i hope people will learn from this.

Best film have watched in ages.

Subtle comedy at its very best

It even features a Danfo bus in its Naija manifestation.

Classic

Which only confirms my opinion. Considering staying has cost and is still costing him a great deal of political capital.

He could have agreed with general opinion to draw a timetable for withdrawal and saved himself a load of hassle.
Politics › Re: Why Do People Love Clinton? by doyin13(op): 5:04am On Jul 24, 2007
I think as John Edwards said, the term 'war on terror' has become nothing more than a slogan

But I still respect him for his conviction not to invade but to stay in Iraq though things have gone pear shaped.

The crusades were the best thing to happen to Europe, without them the US would probably be the only bastion of democracy left with Europe drowning in the bogs of "peaceful" islam.

Some places are just born to be big. Lagos is one of them.

In Brazil they have tried thru hook and crook to develop outside of Rio and Sao Paulo especially.

But for where. Everybody still wan be Paulista or Carioca.
