Foreign Affairs › Re: US Government Blocks 36 Iranian-Affiliated News Websites by Doyin2(m): 8:44am On Jun 23, 2021 |
ivandragon: It's interesting how pmb's minions are trying so hard to twist a narrative.
PMB went against Twitter because he felt hurt that they rightly took off his tweet. His action was based on his ego which he couched as national interest.
By the way, the US got a court order to seize those sites, which one did PMB obtain? Colonial idiot. How is a warrant from a government agency, the same as court order. A Nigerian government agency issued a warrant (order)for Twitter to be banned in Nigeria pursuant to relevant sections of the antiterrorism and other applicable laws in Nigeria. A USA agency issues another warrant (order)blocking Iranian news websites. But idiots like you will go any length to justify the latter and condemn the former. Every country has a right to defend its territorial integrity by whatever means ,but many imbeciles like you, would do anything to ridicule their own country. "Court order"against freedom of speech is okay by idiots like you, provided it's coming from USA,abi? Whereas they only quoted their law to justify their action, the same thing Nigeria did. Nothing like court order. Court order by which judge? What's the name of the court? Now Iranians and others living in America that wish to visit the news websites, have been deprived of their rights,in a country that hypocritically preaches human rights and freedom of speech. |

Fahdiga1: All this miscarriage of justice under the lifeless. Buhari has destroyed Nigeria and every fabric of our national existence. He has succeeded in turning our constitution upside down just to have his way. People who comes distant fourth in elections just like Hope Uzodimma can now be declared winners once they are on the side of this brutal regime. We never had it this bad Idiot. Very soon you will blame Buhari for your failures. You know the constitution more than the court. Any thing not in your favour is miscarriage of justice. Common sense demands that the president that has power to appointment can also extend tenure if he had not found a suitable person. The same supreme court that gave Imo to APC,gave Zamfara and Bayelsa to PDP. Any person that desecrate our supreme court must be a real idiot. |

I can’t remember the name of the other
Google it
Even an Edo man has ruled Lagos before
Y’all should keep on deceiving yourselves that you own Lagos.
The real owners are coming Sadiq Abubakar was once a Governor of Anambra State. Rufai Garbage ,Dabo Aliyu were also governors . The military regime appointed governors irrespective of their state of origin. You are definitely a confused confusionist |

fuckingAyaya: What's is the exchange rate as at now? Economic illiterate. CBN can only manage the exchange rate. Exchange rate of any currency ,Naira inclusive,is determined by the balance of payment, among other factors. The more we export over import, the higher value of the Naira. Therefore you cannot be an importer and still be complaining about the value of the naira, whereas you are part of the problem, not government. I rarely hear people talk of mini exportation, only mini importation Neither is it the fault of CBN that Nigeria had been a major importer of fuel for over 20years! |

They dare not try that with tax conscious countries like UK.

No global tech company can ignore Africa and Nigeria ,most especially when developed continents already have alternatives to say Facebook.Instagram and even twitter. I have earned not less that 1million online alone for the past 4 months this year. Please how much are you worth Online to teach me about Online Traffic? I feel you. But government does not consider individual benefits but overall national interest ,when taking decisions. I always advice people to consider extreme cases in determining the veracity of a decision: Now just assume it was later found out that twitter was set up to distabilise developing nations in order not to grow, mind you countries are in competition, the more we grow, the less foreign growth.Have you imagined if Facebook, twitter and Instagram were all based in Nigeria? So if Twitter(assumption)was set up to distabilise Nigeria, the govt should still not ban it because some people are making money from it? But I can assure you the current situation temporal. Please reason selflessly, not like many empty brains on Nairaland. |

My observation:
All these foreign elements would bark at weaker countries, especially African,in the name of human rights. But they dare not do same to super powers like China and South Korea. Is Nigeria the only country restricting the excesses of Twitter?
What is wrong in a temporary ban to register displeasure with a foreign information platform? Is Twitter the only means of communication in Nigeria?
When Twitter suspend your account due to violations, what happens to UN chatter on human rights?
I may be twitting secretly, but I stand firmly with my country's leadership on this.Let those foreign elements mind their business.
Can Nigeria dare interfere in any internal policy of these foreign countries? Are they all perfect on human rights?
Africans think! |

CilicMarin: Nigeria Corporate Existence Is Bigger Than A Twitter Platform That Promotes Terrorism.
I stand With Mr. President...and urge other African President To Take A Cue From Nigeria.
Could twitter had allowed late Osama Bin Ladin to tweet violence against the unity of America without sanctions? Whose interest is Twitter promoting in Nigeria? It is very suspicious to delete Buharis tweet and leave that of the Ipob leader of a legally declared terrorist organization. Very suspicious!! |
Politics › Re: NCC Orders Telcos To Effect Twitter Ban by Doyin2(m): 9:28am On Jun 05, 2021 |
CilicMarin: The corporate entity, Nigeria is bigger than Twitter platform. If Jack doesn't want to play by the rules, we also don't need him. Providing avenue for Terrorists to destroy Nigeria is a red line..and they have crossed it..
Twitter as a form of social media, should not be an agent for destabilization but a tool for deepening democracy and promoting good governance in Nigeria and Africa as a whole..
Twitter must respect the sovereign integrity of nations wherein they operate.
If a government had designated a group as a terrorist group, Twitter has no justification to allow such groups to propagate their rhetoric via their platform.
If Twitter has the right to remove/block anybody out of their platform for breaking their 'rules' , countries too have the same right to ban or suspend Twitter operations in their countries as well for aiding or abetting Terrorists.
#I Support Nigeria Well said. Twitter has not deleted any of Nnamdi Kanu's very incitive tweets, but they were quick to delete that of our president. Ipob is legally a terrorist organization in Nigeria for God's sake! It seems many outer organizations would be happy to see Nigeria destroyed. |
