BushidoBlue:Although this is not the subject of discuss, but I need to educate people like you: None of the the current state of the economy in terms of black market forex rate, fuel scarcity, epileptic power supply, etc can be blamed on the present administration. For 16 years ,Nigeria was importing fuel and you expect an APC government to fix the oil sector in 9 months! For 16 years,Nigeria spent trillions of naira on electric power without substantial result, and you expect APC government to fix power in 9 months! For 16 years we enjoyed a relative high revenue from oil and now that the oil(our major source of Dollar supply) price has crashed, you expect the Naira not to crash. What happens to the simple law of demand and supply ?I cannot remember APC promising to fix all these atrocities in 9 months! Further enlightenment would be done on a more appropriate subject matter. |

These are misguided Nigerians! Was APC part of the PDP federal government? For now the FG is focusing on corruption at federal level,so how does that concern APC members? Or is there any state govt that is being probed now, that excludes APC states? For efficiency and effectiveness of the fight against corruption, let the current state governments probe their respective previous. governments, ditto for the local governments. I think I've heard enough of all these trash ,propaganda and mischief, that does not make common sense! |
reflx:PDP - People's Deceit Party! Why would a party go to this extent to deceive the public, why ![]() ? |
Ogede nbajee,aloonpon! |
Why is it that people on this forum always behave like zombies, kick and follow? Once an article is published ,misguided comments follow, without using common sense. Does the title of the article support the content, without any reasonable doubt? Who exactly are the relatives of Buhari and the ministers? The strategy of soft sell magazines like sahara ,is to manipulate news that will sell fast, irrespective of the parties concerned. You could see how they manipulated information to deceive very gullible minds. Why would CBN higher someone whose name is Atiku and officially document his name as Abubakar ??Have Sahara tendered any evidence of such atrocities, other than just to publish names that could not be linked to any of the accused persons? The way some people just rush to make misguided comments based on misinformation, reminds me of the way chickens behave, when corn or maize has just been thrown to the ground. I was expecting a very convincing journalistic master piece that would have motivated me to carry placard to Aso rock,to demand immediate resignation of PMB. What a trash! |
Chukzyfcb:You do not need to wait for years to sell your land! You can buy land today for N1million and sell tomorrow at say N1.5million,making N500,000 instantly! How about doing this monthly ![]() ![]() The higher the millions attached to the cost of a property, the higher the profitability, just like any other trading business, the higher the value of goods bought, the higher the likely profit when sold. So it is easier to sell a land bought at N1miilion today, for N1.5million tomorrow, than to buy a land worth N250,000 and expect to sell at N750,000 the next day! |
How can somebody equate re-organisation with unbundling? SMH! Did Kachikwu ever mention that NNPC has been unbundled? Were new companies named to replace the so called unbundled NNPC? Is it possible to unbundle an entity without incorporating new entities? Yet gullible people are still referring to his very simple explanation as a policy somersault, out of total ignorance! Worse still, NUPENG and PENGASSAN are on very misguided strike. Still SMH! |

The Lagos derby has started! Watch it live on supersports 9 or Select .. |
The three female students who were abducted from the Babington Junior Seminary in Ikorodu, Lagos State have been released. The Lagos State Commissioner of Police Fatai Owoseni says the girls were found at the Igbokuta area of Ikorodu. Mr. Owoseni says the girls are hale and hearty and were not molested by their abductors. The Police Commissioner also disclosed to Channels Television that three arrests have been made in line with the abduction. Three female students on February 29, were abducted from the Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary School by gunmen in Ikorodu area of Lagos. The students were abducted by heavily armed men who were said to have scaled the fence and shot sporadically during the prep hour on Monday night. One of the parents of the abducted girls told Channels Television that the armed men made the attempt in January this year but were repelled by the school security and the fence of the school was further raised. Lagos will today be the centre of attraction in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) as the first local derby will be played between two newcomers, Ikorodu United and Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM FC). This is undoubtedly the star match of the NPFL week 5 fixtures as the first local derby this term will be played at the Onikan Stadium in Lagos between these two familiar foes. This tie will be the first meeting between the two sides in the top flight as they are both newcomers campaigning in the premier League, and Lagos fans will have the opportunity to ascertain the strengths and weaknesses of these two teams. Coming from a 0-1 loss at reigning champions, Enyimba in their last tie, Ikorodu United would want to pick the maximum three points, but it will definitely be difficult for them against their neighbours, and this tie may end in a stalemate. |
Enugu Rangers is hosting Wikki Tourist all the way from Bauchi in the opening match of weekend on Saturday. Rangers know how good a win will be as Wikki lead them on the league table with a solitary goal-difference. So with a win, Enugu Rangers will move 3points clear off Wikki and also go top of the table, at least for 24 hours, till other fixtures kick-off on Sunday. Wikki, with the form of Godwin Obaje, will also fantasise about the benefits of an away win too, which also includes topping the league table and coming on the back of a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Plateau United, why shouldn’t they dream? This game promises to be a cracker as both teams might have to even settle for a draw in the end. |
It is now very clear that the owner of Nairaland is a compromised fellow. We now know where he stands,no need for any camouflage and after thought addendum commentary! What a big shame! Only a fool would expect a well trained General to openly reveal the DETAILS of how he intended to deal with Boko Haram.I repeat only a fool would expect such.Perhaps Seun was not born when GMB dealt with Maitasene of those days. Sometimes ,I just wonder how people reason? So GMB should reveal his Security strategy on Al-jazeera?? A reasonable person would judge GMB by what he had done in the past concerning Insurgency and corruption, rather than by what he could not say ,for obvious reasons.. However,my prayer is that we would not need to fight Boko Haram again, after six weeks .But we would still need to fight the canker worm called corruption! The fight against corruption should start from the very top,via leadership by example. GMB has demonstrated enough of character and leadership concerning the capacity to fight against corruption.I do not need any interview or debate to be further convinced about GMB's capacity to deal with corruption. ACTION speaks louder than deceitful oratory and words! I am totally disappointing in Seun for his commentary. It's a monumental shame! No wonder we have more of anti GMB(pro-GEJ) posts on Nairaland front page. |

It's a very despicable development. GEJ has a right to visit churches in a private capacity, but what is despicable is the fact that he goes there to make public statements on issues affecting both Christians and non Christians. Action speaks louder than mere statements,GEJ is the real fundamentalist, using religion to divide Nigerians along religious lines, not GMB. Can you imagine GMB moving from mosques to mosques every Friday to make public statements. What would you feel as a Christian that wants to vote for him? |
So who is a fundamentalist now? GEJ that goes to churches to make public statements, thereby dividing Nigeria along religious lines,or GMB that goes to mosque on fridays,PRIVATELY, without any publicity? #FEBUHARITOMARCH |

Only a fool would believe this trash! PDP internet thugs are on the rampage. NIGERIANS BEWARE!!!!!! |
The actual report asked NNPC and NPDC to refund to the Federation Account and the amount reads "a minimum of $1.48b". That itself should put any sane person on more inquiry..... ![]() |

What is a debate? Debate is a formal contest of argumentation between teams or individuals. More broadly, and more importantly, debate is an essential tool for developing and maintaining democracy and open societies. More than a mere verbal or performance skill, debate embodies the ideals of reasoned argument, tolerance for divergent points of view and rigorous self-examination. Debate is, above all, a way for those who hold opposing views to discuss controversial issues without descending to insult, emotional appeals or personal bias. A key trademark of debate is that it rarely ends in agreement, but rather allows for a robust analysis of the question at hand. Perhaps this is what French philosopher Joseph Joubert meant when he said: “It is better to debate a question without settling it, than to settle a question without debating it.” |
Is this a debate? ![]() I weep for Nigeria! So what is a debate? Debate is a formal contest of argumentation between two teams or individuals. It is very clear that this is a staged managed debate.I need Nigeria still has a lot to learn in terms of organising brain tasking debates. This is not how to organise electioneering debate! No opportunity for counter arguments, what a big shame. |
1.Corruption-As at now,the report of the investigation of the missing $10.8billion has been deliberately kept in abeyance ,Pardoning convicted thieves of our treasury and making someone under EFCC prosecution(guilty or not)as a campaign director,is an epitome of bad and corrupt leadership . In sane societies, the Oil subsidy scam is enough to sack the petroleum minister. 2.Power-16 years after,Nigeria still cannot boast of stable power, despite trillions of Naira spent. 3.Deceit-Claiming to have grown Nigeria's economy to be the largest in Africa,is one of the biggest deceit of the century! It's like conducting a census only to find out that Nigeria's population is now say 400 million and then claiming that it was GEJ that made Nigeria's population greater than that of USA! The size of Nigeria's economy was merely rebased, using new and updated parameters,to arrive at a new and higher GDP figure that eventually made us the largest economy.Every government since the birth of Nigeria, must have contributed to this figure, not only PDP government! 4.Nigeria is the only OPEC member, importing fuel! 5.High interest and forex rates, due to poor economic management. 6.Religious dichotomy-GEJ has used religion to divide the country.Going to churches is a personal right. But why make public statements in various churches? 7.Insecurity-No excuse. It does not matter who is sponsoring Boko Haram, what matters most is crushing Boko Haram! Boko Haram could have been nipped at the bud long before now, just like what GMB did to Maitasene of those military days! Now,most of the above negativity could be linked to corruption and I think GMB is a better alternative in terms of the will and capability to tackle corruption and insecurity headlong. If all what GMB can achieve through out his tenor, is to tackle the canker-worm called corruption,I would be more than fulfilled as a voter! SPECIAL ADVICE: Good governance is beyond construction of roads, almajiri schools, and rehabilitation of old railway lines. Accountability and integrity are major ingredients of good governance! |
ADAMUdaCOWBOY:That was the fool who wanted to rule Lagos! Koro is a confirmed thug.full of mischief and propaganda, the major tools of PDP. How on earth could someone be insisting that a crime was committed against another person that is not complaining ![]() .I just hope that Koro does not send his boys to murder somebody and then come out on twitter to make public condemnation. Nigerians, beware of Musiliu Onanikoro,I am beginning to suspect him,he can do anything. |
So at what age did GEJ start primary school,if he was born in 1957? ![]() |
