Your comment shows how very ignorant and naive you are on the subject matter and Nigeria football space in the past 4 years. Please read wide and understand before commenting.
So what has been Guen's achievement in the last 4 years?

Those who think the solution to Nigeria's football woes, is a foreign coach should have their brain examined.

Our local coaches have won more laurels than the foreigners.

On a more practical note, tell me what le Guen,a coach that was sacked by Oman for non performance, would bring to Super Eagles that Yusuf cannot provide?

What has le Guen achieved since his sack from Oman?

If you must eat frog, then get the fattest one.So if you must hire a foreign coach,go for the best or world class coach, such as the one that have won a world cup and still VERY active and consistent with good performance.

You are obviously much more ignorant than I!
Sports › Re: NFF To Unveil Le Guen As Coach For Super Eagles On July 18 – PUNCH by Doyin2(m): 4:40pm On Jul 12, 2016
Rubbish!
Le Guen should rather learn from Salisu Yusuf.

The only reason why Guen would be picked is the colour of his skin. What can he do that Yusuf cannot do?

In other professions,Nigerians are among the best in the world. The forex to be wasted on foreign coach should be used to further develop our coaches.

Short cut to success, via a foreign coach,is a short cut to perpetual underdevelopment.

On the aggregate, our local coaches have achieved more than the foreign coaches we had engaged,so what the hell?

It is certainly better to swim or sink with a Nigerian coach, than to swim or sink with a foreign coach.

Stop insulting the sensibilities of the real Edo people!

It is not the responsibility of government to build industries. It is the infrastructural development of the state that would on the long run, attract industries.

I had lived in EDO. The state is far better off now, than during the dark days of PDP/Igbenedion.

What Edo needs now is a technocrat like Obaseki to take the state to the next level, not a popular candidate.Lagos is enough case study!

Let the rich and influential noise makers(more in this category support PDP,typical of EDO politics) continue with their mischief, the average Edo men support Oshiomole/Obaseki/APC(far greater in number) know what to do when the dye vote is cast cool

yanshDoctor:
to be frank this election will be difficult for oshiobaba.

1. APC is not popular in the state Anymore
2. the election is between oshiomole and ize-iyamu not obaseke which is wrong.
3. obaseke is not prepared & nor popular, sound more like a pulpit oshiomole can be controlling.

when a governor leaves office he losses powers of the party and becomes a common man and ordinary party member. this is what oshiomole is protecting by trying to install a loyal servant who he can control to help his influence in the APC party.

no doubt oshiomole performed wonders in the state in terms of infrastructure. but he failed to improve standard of living. no industry to employed people and no appointment for jobs.

looking at the hatred for APC by edo people. I doubt if oshiomole can help APC-obaseke to win.

look like money will be used to influence voters at every poly unit to vote APC and the security service to work in favor of APC. otherwise I don't see how oshiomole is going to do it.''

EDO needs a technocrat like Obaseki, not a popular candidate!

Lagos is a good case study for the Edo people. The whole essence of governance is about infrastructural development and welfare of the people.

I had lived in Benin, and know that Oshiomole/APC has done a marvelous job in Edo,compared with the inglorious and dark years of Igbinedeon/PDP.

Obaseki is in a BETTER position to take Edo to the next level.

There is something noteworthy of Edo Politics.MOST of the conservative elites normally lean towards a party like PDP,whilst MOST of the non-elites and the down trodden are typically progressives leaning towards a party like APC.The progressive Edo elites are also quite substantial, although they are much less than the conservative elites.

The good news for APC is that the latter(Non elites) and the down trodden, are much more than the former(elites),outweighing the deficit of the progressive elites. But because the conservative elites are much more wealthier, vocal and closer to the media, they tend to portray a very false picture of the actual overall leaning of the average EDO man.

The truth of the matter is that the average Edo man is a progressive. And like in the past(PDP era),only high level electoral rigging can distort this dynamics!

I trust the good people of EDO,they know what to do when the dye vote is cast cool

And will his showing his certificate AGAIN nullify a case that is already in court?

As for the choice of Obaseki, he may have been chosen by his boss but he sure has more quality than Pius Odubu. If Ize Iyamu picks the pdp ticket, that will give it to APC. Both Obaseki and Iyamu are from Edo south which means their deputies will come from Edo central most likely. Edo north is in for APC already with the support the gov has from his area. My village for instance, is the most populous community in my local govt area and we are voting for APC. Odubu never cared till Oshiomole came to our rescue. Dont mind them. Is it now a crime to save your money in foreign currencies? After the last election, someone told me to sell my dollars,i foolishly sold 5000 dollars and lost some money in the process. I won't do that again. Most people who have got dollars won't panic sell. It won't work this time around.

These mediocre government should find another way to strengthen the naira. I earned my money thru hard work ,no one should tell me when to sell it.
I just wonder why some people still find it hard to comprehend statements written in very elementary English.

My advice was targeted at those keeping dollars for speculative reasons, not for savings.By the way, if you are not into international business or a frequent user of foreign currency, why save in dollars at the detriment of your country's economy?

The new Forex regime could now be likened to what is obtainable at the stock market.

Now is the time to sell your Dollars!

The new Forex regime is only a temporary monetary policy strategy to address the issue of foreign currency supply. On the long run,the strength of the Naira would be determined by both fiscal and monetary policies. Higher local productivity and exports will in the long run boost the value of the Naira.

As a fiscal policy,I will advice the FG to ban the importation of ALL items that are currently being produced in Nigeria,to further reduce the pressure on the Naira. Basic economic common sense ?

It is not about price but productivity. Price comes last. If increased productivity, efficiencies and competition permits 87, so be it, but that is not the goal. That is an NLC type socialism argument in which they cry for higher wages not minding productivity levels then watch helplessly as inflation robs them at gun point.
It is a consistent track record of productivity that has made 2 gig data sell for N1000 today and a bag of cement relatively stable despite the terrible inflation. Where we cry is where we are not producing enough such as forex, foodstuff and fuel. So price is not the matter, making stuff is.

Politics › Re: Difference Between Militant And Terrorist by Doyin2(m):
OjukwuWarBird:
Wrong

Militants fight to preserve their lives, resources, properties, culture, belief, etc by any means possible.

Terrorists fight to impose their belief, culture, religion, idealogy, etc on others.

Militancy is all about self preservation
Terrorism is all about imposition on others
I pity your shallow knowledge. So your definition of terror exclude that used by Niger Delta or Islamic militants?

Many Nigerians are so lazy to read or carry out their own independent research, such that they become so gullible to any trash thrown at them, either mischievously or ignorantly..

The FBI uses this definition: "Terrorism is the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives."

According to the oxford dictionary:

Militancy is the use of confrontational or violent methods in support of a political or social cause:

Boko Haram and Niger Delta Avengers and the likes are all terrorists!

It is high time we stopped all these nonsensical affiliations. What is bad is bad.Terror is terror, whether by Niger Delta militants or Islamic Militants!

We should also learn to distinguish freedom fighters or agitators, secessionist, etc, from militants.

An agitator, freedom fighter, rights activists, secessionist, etc are normally expected to be non militant or non violent. But if they now apply non provoked violence, terror or militancy, they become what they choose to become:militants or Terrorists!
