I bought it tokubo, I have NEVER used mobile xhp, I bought the mobile from you sir,and also got a filter of 6k,5 that your representative recommended for a oil of 20k miles.when I got the pennzoil, I got a filter of 2k,5 that u recommended. So I dont know why it dried up.

If u say self medication is using the likes of coastal, Hardex 5w-30 on camry 2005 because I am not using mobil 1, castrol etc, then you need more Orientation to be well informed.

I get your point which is the same to what I have been hearing. My question is full synthetic, semi synthetic are they the same as car manufacturer oil weight like 5w-30, 0w-20? . The answer is no but you will still surely want to make a point which I see as deviation. Stop this if not synthetic oil is waste of money, mineral oil is waste of money all in the name of you want to sell your synthetic oil and clamp down in all other synthetic and semi synthetic oil as fake or rubbish the source cos your is coming from US others should be tag fake. On the branded or unbranded of products both went through laboratory testing before being certified as standard. On the drugs take for instance differentiate between M&B, Emzor and SKG paracetamol isn't the same paracetamol why tag one a better one working while others are inferior.

Every 3months one is expected to deworm/treat malaria even though the person is okay and fine. Are you saying after consulting Dr, for about 3 times and same drugs are being dispensed one shouldn't follow the routine without consulting Dr?

In drugs we have branded drugs and unbranded drugs does this means the unbranded are substandard or fake?. Cos I believe the composition of the branded and unbranded are same just brand name diff.

You all keep clamouring for synthetic oil. Did the car manufacturer indicate synthetic oil or rather oil weight? Yes we know mineral oil but please enlighten on on why oil weight (5w-30) and synthetic/semi synthetic in relation to manufacturer recommendation

Yeah, but on the issue of oil, the idea I use on my car is that I service it once it's above 3 weeks, at most 1 month, I don't follow the trend of servicing of car after 3k or 5k miles cos of traffic factor in Lagos, if you are in a traffic for more than 1hr or less, don't forget that your engine is running but it won't really reflect on the milleage. If your milleage tells you that you've done 3k miles, trust me, your engine might hv run extra 1k miles or more in traffic but it won't reflect on your dashboard milleage. What I'm saying in essence is that I prefer using semi-synthetic Mobil 5w-30 or handex 5w-30 and change it every month than buying full synthetic that worth almost 20k or more and still change it every month. I never reach that level

You should care more on what most consumers want, not what you really think is the ideal. You can even create market for those who love synthetic and semi/mineral oil.

LOL, He is loyal to synthetic oil; he says he sells what he uses. What if more consumers want something else from his own options? But I believe with time, he will break the 'loyalty' and just sell semi-synthetic or mineral to cover more clients.
Isn't he the same person that is technically divorcing his once darling Mobile 1 for supertech now?

In that note I'd wonder Why you only import full synthetic for sell to Nigerians n you don't bother to even include semi-synthetic at all! If you amaze you that you would even make more profit selling the Mobil semi synthetic at even faster rate than the full synthetic.

Or haven't you consider this before? If so, what then is your reason behind not importing these cheaper brands n quality oil as well. Or don't you know that will bring you more customers and even dealers?

I like to have a reason you major on only the FSOil

If not why should we be buying Mobil 1 USA , when we have Mobil 1 Nigerian standard.
Well if I buy a new Tokunbo I will start by using synthetic oil made in Nigeria, produced for Nigerian standard or from recognized partners/dealers that producer knows.
Not unrecognized back door partners that will sell Mobil 1 for 2yrs and tell me to change to super tech oil later.
I stick to one accessible and reliable brand.

I bought my car Grade AA from New Jersey.
Though my kazeem misled me buy using Mobil xhp from beginning and I knew little about oil then. I switched to semi synthetic at some point but back to xhp.

For good 4years I didn’t change any single part of the car apart from tyres, oil , fill up AC gas.
But 6months into Ehailing, I ve changed compressor & condenser, shocks and linkage only.
I drive my car myself Baba Dru
I oven bake my car almost every 2yrs cos I’m allergic to scratches and lines on car.
I have to horn for people on street to know a car is coming cos d engine is too silent to a fault.
I already have people queuing to buy d car.
My riders wonder why I use such car for ehailing.

Engine oil (xhp) doesn’t mean you don’t value your car. I change oil every 3000miles.
However I agree Mobil 1 and all synthetic oil are better than xhp but we move.

For Christ sake these online mechanics would recommend the same oil for a brand new car for a high millages car that is upto 15yrs ..I don't know what is wrong with them!

I drive my car in Nigeria , I use Nigeria petrol, and ladipo spare parts but want me to use American oil.
Well I hold on tight to my Mobil xhp.

very true. Customs have lost their mind when it comes to oil. We just brought in a pallet and had to drag with them for three weeks. We'll soon run out because customers are ordering in bulk. Trying to bring more in but e dey one kind RN like you said.

But what is stopping us from producing these oils? Did they not say that synthetic oil is made from crude oil? If Turkey, Thailand and Ukraine can produce engine oil, what is stopping us? I know that we have a lot of challenges to contend with but in the end, we will triumph

Yeah, I had to buy like that. Funny enough, yours was still the cheapest. I tried pricing from some other legit sellers and the least was N28,000.

Good one on the alternative. However, price alone should not be the determining factor. The quality of the oil is equally as important.

In essence, there has been a cheaper alternative to Mobil 1 all this while? Just that because mobil1 was quite affordable then, it seemed like "It's either Mobil 1 or Mobil 1, no other oil can do the work" And there could have been another cheaper alternative to super tech if one finds further.
