adsmaster: Compare the bolded to corolla 03. 26k for all you mentioned. For a car that we didn't change anything when it landed.. And it last almost 7months before any major repairs.. And also the car worked during this heavy raining season.. I think the car did very and the shocks are still very ok ... keep in mind I do all repairs both major and minor.. So if something has 2k naira spoil, trust me drivers go talk and complain.. So am impressed, and imagine if I start to bring mine parts, especially bushings and linkages and ball joint.. My maintenance will be very low ..keep in mind ladipo parts are used parts, so bringing in my parts will reduce my cost a lot better. |

I bought th oil for 9.8k and it works very well for me. Better than perofrmance of mobil 1 or Castrol There is a lot of fake Mobil 1 oil and Castrol oil out there.. I don't know where you bought yours from .. And I can't tell the difference between the fake and the original ... And am sure you can't tell either... Now that been said.. Car owners should follow manufacture advice.. Engine oil made in the USA are formulated to meet car specification.. API American Petroleum Institute sets this standard.. Engine oil sold in Europe can't be sold in the USA unless it meets certain requirement.... That your oil you posted is for European cars .. And am willing to bet that you drive a. American spec car .. |

dspecial001: Good day everyone,
Has anyone heard about an engine oil called Favoil fully synthetic engine oil. The oil was recommended to me and I was told that it was imported from UK. Though the oil is reasonably priced, cheaper than mobil 1 or castrol. I am just being careful not to use the wrong oil and at the same time I think the mobil 1 and castrol are very expensive.
Someone please help Have never heard of that engine oil before.. I do import Mobil 1 and castrol from the USA ... Mobil 1 goes for 17k and I have a lot of it ...Castrol was going for 13500k.. Castrol is all sold out and I will import more from the USA.

I’m 5’4ft and that’s slightly short for a man, my but guess what, I don’t care.... and trust me, I’ve dated ladies way out of my league.
I know sometimes we all have our imperfections but those that embrace it, are loves for who they truly are.
Wiz kid is short,
Rihanna has small boobs,
Olamide has bulgy eye balls,
Pasuma doesn’t speak good English.
Tiwa is not sexy without make up.
Wake doesn’t have ass.
Eniola Badmus is fat.
But no one cares right? Cos aside being popular, they appreciate themself and are unapologetic with it.

Luxurydriverng: This is Honda Accord 2004. Going for 244k, yes the body looks banged up but it is a four cylinder EOD. Possible the owner couldn't maintain it. I work directly with cars45 and I see alot of Nigerian used car up for sale at very cheap price the online price is always the best. If 150k is put on this vehicle you wont know it again. And with that you haven't still spent up to 500k. This is just one of many cars less than 500k.
Today is the 1st day this week I'm stepping out to hustle, if I was on rental or HP I cant do that due to pressure to meet up weekly payment. I hail guys wey they remmit weekly that one na jackey work. Fleet owners dont feel like am spoiling business oh. The truth some ppl will still be slaves no matter the knowledge you try to expose them to that's how this life was designed, so fear not the ocean has many fishes so the bait must catch one if not more. My brother Nigerian used cars are money pits no matter how cheap you buy them and fix them .. 80% of the time the engine is gone and shorten oil.. And the engine will need replacement .. This is due to the fact of the use of wrong engine oil.. The ever popular 20w50 and once the engine is replace .. The new owner continues to use the wrong engine oil . This is one of the problems you will notice with cheap cars .. Until owners of cars learn to maintain their cars ,they will continue to be slaves to one thing or the other.. Slaves to mechanic, slaves to petrol station..... |

Luxurydriverng: Y not get your own car, u can add some few more thousand and get you vehicle. Trust me it's better than delivering. Chat me I can recommend vehicles Less than 500k you can use for uber. It is one thing to get a car for 500k Naira or less.. It is another thing to know how to maintain the car .. Nigeria or Africa as a whole, except for South African that I know of .. We lack maintenance culture.. And you know that uber and bolt riders will not tolerant cars that have issues at all ... in a situation that owner of the car will manage whatever issues the car has .. A rider will not tolerant that and will end up giving the driver a bad rating.. If the driver's rating is bad enough , he will be blocked until those issues are address.. By that time the driver has no savings in his account.. And he would end up looking for another car drive ...meaning he is now looking for a partner to get a car from ... And the circles continues and continues .. This is why car parts is a big business in Ladipo... until we change our maintenance culture , drivers will never be able to own their own cars successfully ....Most drivers can't even maintain partners cars ,so it is their own car they will now maintain? I know how much money I spend in taking care of my fleet.. Majority of owners could not do what I do ..... |

okiyi: @boldened very true... I remember when BIGI came into the market with 60cl bottles... Coke, Pepsi ET AL had to follow suite cos they obviously must have recorded a dwindle in sales then with their 50cl PEP bottles. Theeen all of a sudden Coca-Cola stupidly changed tactics and pegged RRP for their 60cl bottles at 150 naira while the 35cl bottles were sold for 100 naira...LOL! with BIGI still selling their wide variety of drinks at 100 naira those guys kept cashing out as we all know the average Nigerian wants to have more for less. Not like cocacola products weren't still selling though but their poor decisions gave their major competitor-BIGI a chance to soar. Just last week I started seeing these coke fanta and sprite 50cl bottles being sold at 100 naira again. Even though it's still 10cl short of what BIGI(that has won numerous Nigerian hearts) is offering, it only goes to show that "dem no dey tell person". As you've rightly said if Bolt wants to comfortably dominate the Nigerian market, now is the time to reduce their commission fee to 15% or even less and it's a done deal. And even if Bolt chooses not to make changes, When partners start ditching UBER massively or only go online at times of surge as someone earlier suggested, I'm sure UBER'll give this their silly move a rethink swiftly. But the question is ARE NIGERIANS READY? Time will only tell between these two giants.. It is a game of chess for now ... And true talk ,Nigerians do have the power in their hands... And I don't think they are ready... |

adsmaster: Am just trying to think of the 1st degree, second degree and third degree effect of these 30 trips on the whole ecosystem.
Cause: Uber increase the 3% reduce fee to 30trips
Effect: 1st degree: drivers becomes reluctant to drive on the platform, they stop focusing on uber apps alone, many drivers start using bolt and pray for a third app(with huge financial muscle)
2nd degree: demand (rider request) exceed supply(available drivers on platform), surge begins to build up, more money for uber as a result of surge, rider are forced to pay more, there waiting time for a ride sky rockets,
3rd degree: the riders get frustrated and probably starts using bolt The drivers gets frustrated and major on bolt It becomes difficult to pay remmitance, even if they do there take home drastically reduces Driver now have to put more time to try and increase the the slice they take from the chunk of the market Margin for both partners gets affected Car owners due to stories will pull out there cars from the platform leading to less number of cars Etc
PS.. One thing is certain the market will react but I don't know in what direction Simple logic ...uber is likely seeing how the market will react.. Drivers will move to bolt and uber revert back to after 20 trips 3% commission ..But it is up to the drivers to work together as a team ....If 60% drivers move to bolt now now , uber will think twice and might say 3% after 15 trips.....Either way something has to give Ps.. You said it will be hard to pay remittance.. .most drivers only do either bolt or uber.. Some of my drivers speficially do bolt ... if bolt wants to gain market share now .. This is the time for bolt to reduce their commission since uber is acting up.. The earlier the better for bolt to take advantage |

First you say Uber is profitable to you and attack those who assume otherwise as not knowing what they're doing, citing your "success story" on the platform, ok
Then you say car biz in naija is dead cos it didn't quite go down well with you and attack everyone else doing it as being "lazy" or not wanting to do "hard work", and you also cite your inability to make ends meet on car biz.
How about I also tell you this, that youre lazy and don't want to do hard work, hence your sad stories on your car dealing adventure.
And you're right, 20 cars since this year is really a poor turnover rate,so obviously, you really don't have it so good in that field either. Doesn't mean it's same for everyone else is all I'm saying. Just do your own hustle and leave others alone and stop branding people, no be you sabi pass.
As for the bolded, I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about,me and you don't know as any car biz be. You're way out of your depth on that area obviously.

Y1nka: You have fleets of cars , but keep hammering on one of your female driver... you’ve answered my question already then.
We can agree to disagree, I hope all of your other drivers are like your female driver. Also we hope u drive and share your earning experience someday, and not as a third party.. thank you sir Out of 20k people looking for jobs.. At least you can find 5k that are serious.. Same goes for drivers ,not all drivers are lazy .. If you are patient enough you will find the ones that are ready to work .... Radauto for example do you know how many people she has to hire and sack.. Her been a proffossional she has to carefully select the ones that are willing to work and fit her mode of operation Am sure out of 5k applicant ,she will hire less than 1k. Just to give an example . My point is the job that you can't do or u think is hard.. Someone out there can do it better than you.. It take skills to hire the rite people .. Nigerians to me are not ready to work . They want easy money, they want to be the boss.. But in the mist of the craziness and laziness.. You will find some that know the job and are willing to work ... Ps.. I recall back in school, when we trying to solve a math problem.. The same math problem that everyone is taking hours to solve..somebody solves in 10 minutes.. Just like the same way uber driver can't meet up. Others are meeting up .. They find ways to think and look for solutions.. It's all about mindset and using the brain... |

Tyche: This one here is a big lie, 100% . The margin on 20 cars will cover your Uber "fleet" net earning for 1 year bro.
Your 5 "fleet" on Uber should give you 3,750,000 for the whole year at 30k per week ( 30*5*52). But we know it doesn't, cause of basic repairs like oil change, etc, and this will take a minimum of 30% off your earning for the year. This is a conservative estimate.
On the other hand, 3,750,000 for 20 cars is a margin of 187,00 per car. We all know the average margin on imported cars.
Abeg, no be children dey here, we are all hustlers, stop boboing us Biko. I must be only one selling cars I guess.. My brother you forget am not based in Naija.. Am based in the USA.. So let break it down to you... when buying a car ,I have factor in my opportunity cost.. I have a regular job ,now do I now leave my job and start to chase cars all over the place? Would it be worth it .. Do u know the times it takes to search for a car ? Arrange a tow truck to tow the car to the port.. Do u think it is easy like that .... And the time it takes to do all the logistics. When u now compare the time u put in vs the profit margin.. Compare my living expenses and standard of living.. Would be worth it ? Lol smh.. The profit of 100k might mean a lot to you guys ,but for us na waste of time .. Even ship 50 cars a month or more. It will mean I will have to leave my job.. We all know it takes time to sell those cars. So money is tied down for months. Keep in mind am not the only person selling cars in Lagos.. I can go and on ,but only if you knew what it takes my brother.. Meself am lucky ,the port is very close to my house . Its about 20 minutes away .. What about other people that are hours away from the port.. Or do u think u just call a tow truck and he will be ready rite away.. You are basically on their time table.. Whenever they are the attend to you , you not the only that needs their cars to be drop off at the port.. My brother lol.. Only if you know what I know smh... Time is money and money is time ...you can always make money and get money.. But you can never buy time.. So use your time wisely ..for those that are in the car business I don't knock your hustle.. But for me I like cash flow and I will continue increasing my fleet.. I can't even keep up with demand from drivers looking for cars now self ...... Either way God bless our hustle and let's challenge ourselves to think outside the box ....

If it were that easier than farm work as you insinuated, you would've made progress in car dealing by now and not the incessant rants and complaints against car dealers This year alone have ship close to 20 cars and mostly for a client via Nairaland..
