Pls what brand of 5w30 synthetic oil is good for a matrix?
And also affordable tho.
I would have reccomended USA Castrol 5w30 13500 ..but am out of Castrol.. The amount I brought sold out like wild fire .. It was cheap and good alternative to the USA Mobil 1 .. But I have Mobil 1 Extended Performance with oil filter.. Mobil 1 is 17k and oil filter is 2k ... The same 2k u spend for oil filter at ladipo that you are not sure of the quality, is the same 2k that you buy from me that is import from the USA . So chose wisely

And you believe he makes that every week?

I understand your point and attempt to make the biz look lucrative as before, but you can't deny the fact that there are more drivers on the platform now, not even talking about Oride/Opay which has also taken reasonable chunk of the riders from uber/taxify. Recently, Gazzuzz said he had used Oride for like 20 times or so in that week, the same purpose for which he was using uber/bolt before.

ofcourse,I stopped e hailing part time the day uber announced their 20 trips for 3 %,it's not just worth it anymore . Some people are still living in a bubble, coupled with the bad roads and flood ,it's just not worth that 30k a driver pays on rental,it's just slavery .

are people on rental still paying 30k even with the uber and taxify commission increase huh
A young guy posted few days ago ,that he makes 25k weekly after expenses. He drives part time and he also broke it down how he does it.. So my advice is get in touch with the man .. And he can direct you on how to reach your target .. Because I believe this young man does not have two heads. He has one head just like everybody else

For those claiming they can make 150k on Uber/Taxify, I pity you.

Let's assume you rented the car at 30k a week, and you make a total of 90k for that week with serious hustle night and day, hardly going home to rest.

Then you take out 20% commission, that leave you with 72K

Lets assume you used 3500 for fuel everyday that's 24500 which means you have 47500 left.

Then you pay your car owner 30k which means you have 17500 left.

Now Out of that 17500, you go chop, buy data, and do many other small small financial responsibilities.

Now tel me at the end of the week, how much is left for your savings
Uber is not a do or die affair my brother, other jobs are out there like bricklayer, danfo driver, bank manger, bank teller, motor conductor, lasma Job, lecturer, oil field workers, Go okada driver, company driver, bread seller or food hawker, male prostitution , spare part seller, smuggling job, teaching job, Arm robber job, kidnapping job etc and the list goes on and on , pastor job ..the list just goes on and on

No! You didn't employ him. He rents your car and pays you TOKEN for using your tool.
Or have you forgotten that "rentals" is used when having the e-hailing contract, literally, he is not your employee.
Or will you say that in the USA that you "claimed to be", renting a car means they are employing you when you do that?

What's this corolla with oil consumption?

I've heard a lot of people saying the problem of oil consumption is common with corolla.
Corolla does not have oil consumption.....unless that corolla, like any other Nigeria car out there ***cough**** and **** cough again **** has been using the ever popular Nigeria famous oil 20w50.. Than chances are the corolla engine is on its last leg... my theory is to start with the oil the corolla has been using . Than check for oil leaks . Than check the pcv valves .....before any final conclusion is made..
The only reason this people are saying Corolla has oil consumption issues is through abuse. Or better yet bad owners.... Now some Camry 07 and 08 do have oil consumption issue .. It is well known fact, the exact year again is 07 and 08 , I read it somewhere months ago...

So what are you saying, offline is a fraud or not?
I have nothing against it .. If you going to offer offline trips , know how to be discreet about it .. And if your car is clean, shape and you present yourself in a very proffossional manner .. It is the client that will even ask you if you can do offline trip for them in the future ...

If your drivers are not doing offline you think you'll be getting paid every week without stories?
You encouraged someone to print cards to win customers for offline trips and you're here going against offline trips. You are huh
For your information whether offline or online a lot of you drivers will still complain and stories.. The drivers that work for me do not pay a kobo for maintenance. One of them started giving stories ,I had to warn and he knows he will not get a better deal anywhere else ..... I could have had close to 20 cars on my fleet.. But am taking my time to make sure I hire good drivers that are willing to work .. They are out there, but person has to be patient and be calm....
Six months ago I got a driver via NL.. I gave the driver the car in excellent condition, I introduce him to my mechanic.. The first day on the Job the driver bash the car and then drop the car at my mechanic.. The fool than called me and ask when the car will be ready.... The damage was over 40k naira.. I sacked him on the spot without saying anything... And few weeks later he came on NL looking for a car .. I just kept quiet and didn't say anything on the forum....
This ehailing business is like a game ,you have to know what you are doing.. Nobody will come and hold your hands in this world.. Only you and yourself can make a change.. Think outside the box to make changes, and don't over do things.. Even if you are giving out cards for offline job, be discreet about it .. Give good customer service.. And know when to offer your service and know when not to .. If your presentation is good ,it is the riders that will use their own mouth to ask for offline services ..
It is a jungle out here ,everyman for himself

Did you make any kind of complaint or did you just sit fuming?

You are a customer. You have Rights. You can decide to let your rights be trampled over, or you an take action.

There is a thread where someone is complaining of being defrauded by his bank. I have explained the simple steps he can take to resolve this by escalation, but he does not understand.

I once had a power issue where I was accused of by passing my nepa meter. They came and fired me with an 800,000 bill. I wrote to their customer care. For six months it continued dragging, and I was being bounced like a ball. Then I figured out the email of their ceo, e mailed the complete mail trail, copying cpc. The man responded, and suddenly everyone on that email trail woke up. Straight. My problems were resolved in a week. Today if we have any power problem, I do not call a nepa official, I take it through the proper channel

I worked in maintenance in my company for five or more years. You are expected to deliver service to your end users. If you are unlucky in some issues that you sleep on, the issues are escalated and you get burned.

All of you sit round complaining that uber is cheating you, but how many of you have actually complained to uber? Most of You cannot think. You do not understand that uber is a corporate entity that needs its stakeholders happy. You can only approach every problem the Nigerian way, rather than the civilised way. A lot of entities doing business in Nigeria have taken time and resources to study the market, and amend their plans accordingly. Do you know Google and Microsoft charge less for several services on Nigerian platforms? Because they took the time to study the market.

If enough riders complain of drivers trying to go offline, uber as a company will review their policies and business plan. That is how business works. But when you try to be smart, the company is not aware of the problem, and the issue continues.

I hope none of this has gone over your head. I seem to remeber you were conducting some sort of survey. I would have thought you would be able to take an intellectual approach to the issue

But it seems you are reasoning like the typical Nigerian.
You shall live long my brother..... U said it all

sadly none with the top notch maintenance you seek, they will try to manage resources, hence the reason your car won't get the best maintenance. Mr Dru23 has a story to tell in that regard. He had to start all over again after those fleet guys ruined his cars. What I say? Cars NOT one car.

Some times you just need to try out some few things
And see how God does His wonders.

Knowing fully well this car drinks fuel like a fish
I printed a car hire service card
And the first rider i got
Made my day perfect

Had an offline trip
Lekki peninsula hotel - ikoyi registry-church -reception .......15k

Finished off by 4:00pm yesterday

Had a trip to ojota from lekki on uber card trip

Then it happened
Sheraton ——- Badorre ....on bolt ——5000

Badore ——-to fela shrine ——-5000 still on bolt but a differnt rider

Then fela shrine to Lekki gardens Ajah uber ——4100

My brother i spent 6500 on fuel .... toll 1200

Profit : 21,400

Well not all days are gonna be good

But las las we dey alright

Its better to sit down without a car
Printing of a card is a Genius idea, even me would not have thought about that.. Once you pick up a rider , and afther giving them good customer service, you can than give them your card for offline services.. By the time you give out your card to about 1000 customers. At least you can get a few calls for offline trip.. It cost you nothing to give out your card ,and at the same time it is free advertising for you.. Am impress bro. You are thinking outside the box ....
