The lady feels she is wise. Experience tells me she is foolish. |
I am confused. Am I the only one confused by this? Didn't Malami give the impression that they would jail people for using Twitter? |
All these bravado for Nigeria with our debts. |
Our collective reward is in heaven. If the work the workers are doing is resulting in financial gains, then there must be some financial compensation given to the workers. It is only logical. |
In addition to my previous post, by the way 950k per year sounds a lot but isn't a sign of wealthy home. There are schools which cost 3 to 6m per year. Do not go and overburden yourself and your parents with the view that y'all are rich. You need to be thinking about being the 'Solomon' to your Dad's 'David' without the multiple concubines and distraction of course. Also at a young age my mentality was that 'My parents assets are theirs. I have to get mine'. That has been useful to me. 19 is the last year of been a teenager. You have to step up to start seeing how you can be more valuable to your family. Think multi generational, think dynasty. What skills are you getting to take the family to the next level after your dad? |
Seniorwriter:For Jose to be an hypocrite in this situation, you need to prove that his wife has been sleeping with other people. I am not going to argue on right vs wrong and on morality as that is a long road. I repeat my view - I have no problem with Jose's comments. It is no secret that Ozil's best performance to date was under Jose. |
TOTOnigga:The reason your parents are rich is that they know money and how to handle it. I had an eye opening moment when I (as a teenager) went to a bookstore with my dad and I bought two things - a FC.UK jacket and a book. The jacket - well I don't even know what I did with it. I had a few parties with it but don't know where it is now. The book was Rich Dad Poor Dad. That book proved invaluable in changing my mindset on money especially the understanding of assets and liabilities. My kids have read that book and 'The rich man in Babylon'. From then I read 'The Millionaire Next Door'. You need to learn about money and how to handle it. You need to learn about the importance of making money work while you sleep. Then you will understand your parents. At the moment, you are 'naive'. I don't think any smart person will leave high amounts of liquid cash where it is not doing any work. By the way stop the lying and betting. It will come out in future. Trust is a key commodity between parents and children especially father and son. As you get older and more mature, your father will need you to step up. If he can't trust you, forget it. He would rather donate it to charity. I would do similar in his shoes. |
Seniorwriter:I see nothing wrong with Jose's comments. He doesn't pretend to be an angel. He will yarn you the raw truth especially when you have refused to listen to advice. |
Better go invest in stock market. You will get better returns. |
mansakhalifa:I pray you are joking. Argentina has strong squads in Basketball and Rugby. If you are not joking you need to get out more. I follow the All Blacks but anyone who is playing the Pumas knows that they have to bring it or else they will lose. |
I am happy for the Tigers but all these are friendlies. Reminds me of Bielsa's Argentina pre 2002 World Cup. Did badly at the WC after a good run. |
Kemi I liked you or rather I respected you. However your integrity is further in the mud. You used a forged certificate. That is something that you should be ashamed of. The court skipped around that point. The issue should never have been if NYSC is required. The AG is also negligent - he should have been the one taking you to court. This outcome is shameful. |
I have tried to remain quiet but man I can't wait for 2023. The level of governance and integrity has regressed in this country. I don't know how it will be done as the politicians are in their usual manner trying to checkmate any attempt to remove them. Can the people unite to vote out APC and PDP together? It go hard o. |
focus7:What value is the Nigerian government's respect? You remember the Ilk of countries people were inviting Nigeria to join during the Isreal vs Hamas saga - Iran, Egypt? All they need to wait is for us to run over to them with caps in hand begging for debt relief, medical tourism, access to schools etc. We get mouth for this country who ranks low in almost every index of human development. |
I fail to understand why some are giddy. Does Nigeria have strength to fight Britain? Someone comes politely and the language is rebuffed. Nigeria has very few assets at international level to make it valuable except stability in the sub Saharan region and the largest west African market. If it comes to a true conflict, best believe Nigeria will be the one flying to the UK. If that reality pisses some of you off then we need to change the dynamic by improving our country. You can't be a non producer of value and then seek to be all influential. No go happen. |
Rozcol:Betrayal is too harsh a word for your friend's actions. Both of you strike me as immature. You will hopefully understand as you get older. In life, there are really no rules. The stone which the builder rejected has become the keystone. |
The reason you beat her could be a number of reasons. 1. Deep within you see her mentally as less than you. You don't see her as your equal. Change your mentality towards her. 2. You may have been brought up from a young age to view violence as a genuine means of conflict resolution. It is good that you recognise and want to change. It is worth it. |
People pushing ethnic angles are an embarrassment. Hail that he is our rep. I remember watching him. Very influential fellow. Hope this attracts more Nigerian Americans to play for the Tigers and Tigress'. |
Better go study how Obama utilised social media to become President. The VP is not correct in his statements. |
baralatie:Need to read my post better. Didn't pin death on her. Also if there is a do not disturb sign on the door, the housekeeper will not come in. Perhaps the man has in the past said they should only come after he has left. I rest my comments and pray the police properly investigate. |
baralatie:As I said there are a lot of questions Was the withdrawal before or after his death? 5 million is not by ATM but by bank transfer or cheque. Assuming that it was after his death, how did the lady get access to his details to execute the transfer? Too many questions for me. I don't have access to the information. It is just that I have a gut feeling that there are many white spaces in this investigation. I wish the police well and comfort to the man's loved ones. |
baralatie:You can find records. Yes but that is if the record keeper truly has knowledge of these things and hasn't been corrupted. The clear thing for me here is motive. I haven't seen the motive. I will keep an eye on this case out of interest. I expect some other information to drop soon. |
baralatie:No security is infallible especially in this nation. In my opinion, the entire findings from this case seems too quick. |
This man sounds like a controlling person. Youths are adults and can make decisions for themselves. I am sure he too is against TV and Radio as it is distracting. Or what of the kids who love reading so much or playing sports to much that it prevents them from making headway in life. Stay in your lane, Pastor. |
baralatie:You mean the security didn't observe anyone? That is different from there is no one. What if the security was absent from their post or absent minded. Did the Police even identify the time of death? |
doncollino:This is very untrue. Very untrue. What is the source of this statement? |
Reading through this, I suspect the wife. There is no identified motive for the side chick to kill the man. That would be slaying the hen laying the golden egg even if stingy. The wife has a stronger motive for seeing the husband dead than the side chick. I have my suspicions and pray that the Police were not biased in their investigations. They need to really check who wanted this man to die. Note; before the emotional online peeps start shouting about his unfaithfulness. Yes he cheated. I am talking about his murder not his stupidity. |
Grace001:How is he regulating social media? Talk is easier than action. Can he reach into the darkweb? |
Does this man think? You will punish Twitter for negative words said about Nigeria? Ok who judges that the words are negative? Other countries have rights to free speech - you want Twitter to restrict the rights of those citizens to free speech and thus violate those nation's laws? Where do you draw the cyber boundaries? Is it tweets made in Nigeria? What is Nigeria's boundary in cyberspace? There are so many questions and clarifications regarding the technical and political execution of this. This move he is making - there is a reason democracies are careful about pushing it. As long as Nigeria seeks to be a democracy, this move should not be on its list. The government's stance should be that they will notify Twitter of any offensive tweets. Unfortunately the government also has people in it who make offensive tweets e.g. Pantami, Buhari etc. |
Lol. Erectile dysfunction eh. Well I do 3-10 minutes (might be a couple of rounds) and I am done depending on mood. Happens to most men. Don't let porn films and other sources disturb your mind too much. Also second round is always longer than first round. Use that how you will. |
This thread is proof of the innate stubbornness to learn. Igbo vs. Yoruba - who benefits from this conflict? Igbo? Yoruba? The future? None of them Better to unite and ignore the attempts of political, myopic and bigoted sponsored charlatans who seek to drive a wedge so as to aid an agenda that benefits no one not even the ones posting. Nigeria is one whether some like it or not. |
