frosbel: You mean like Leviticus 27:30 , 40000 BC , lol, grin
Whatever! Scripture is scripture whether old or new testerment.

I want you to know that, they can't just collecting tithe from congregations without backing it up with some bible verses.

NOTE; I'm not in support of any pastors who intimidate their members to pay tithe. Tithe to me should be given at will or when convenient for the payer and not the other way round.
Christianity EtcRe: Can Tithing Teachers Help Us Explain These Verses by Dsage1: 1:33pm On Oct 12, 2012
plappville: Can you imagine what the bible says and what the church is teaching today? These verses is a "must spread" to those fellows who are already tired of thier church pressure on tithing.
They also had some bible verses to backup their claims you know.

InvestmentRe: Need Your Advises On My GTB Shares. by Dsage1(op): 1:26pm On Oct 08, 2012
walcolm: a few questions?

1. if you had cash in your pocket, would you invest in your cousin's business?
2. must you sell your GTB shares to invest in his business
3. must you sell those shares to his friend?

if you bought your GTB shares at 23 naira, you are currently running at a loss, why sell at a loss to invest in a business you don't have control over?

if you are sure your cousin's business is worth the risk, then feel free to do it
Sir, thanks for the questions.

1. I may take the risk if i had the money. But afraid to sell one investment for another.

2. Yes,if I wish to invest because I don't have such money in my account now to invest in his business.

3. That is what I don't know. He said since his friend urgently needed GTB shares,he prefered me to sell it to him if I wanted than through stock broker.
InvestmentNeed Your Advises On My GTB Shares. by Dsage1(op): 11:30pm On Oct 07, 2012
Dear NL'ders,

I bought a GTB shares about 5years ago when it was sold at #23per share. But just of the recent,my cousin keeps pressurized me to sell it to one of his friend.

Though,I frankly told him to forgot about my shares because I don't really needs the money now or sees any reasons to sell it but he keeps persuading me that i should sell it and invested in a particular business he just started.

My major concern is that,I may not have enough time to partake in the business and eventually become a sleeping partner. Actually,he's a good man to be honest but just don't know whether to follow his advise or leave my share for the future purpose. And despite the fact that I will makes good money in short period if the business is successful, but still felt so reluctant to sell it,don't know why.

Does it makes sense to sell one's shares and invested in such way?

Please sir/ma, I'm urgently needs your advise. Thanks in advance.

Christianity EtcRe: Predictions For The Last Quarter Of The Year. by Dsage1: 10:01am On Oct 06, 2012
acidtalk: @D sage:, Do you have a brain at all?
Why are Nigerians too spiritual yet the most wicked on earth?

God is ANGRY with the entire universe the earlier you realize that the better.

Like earlier stated, either you believe it and try to avert it or ignore it and see them come to past, the decision is yours.
You must be crazy anyway. See how you contradict yourself, Nigerians are too spiritual, yet you believed God was angry with entire universe.

We are too spiritual, yet you are able to come out with all those foolish prediction of future occurrence.

Anything that cannot be empirically tested,is an inspiration and therefore spiritual in nature. BLOODY HYPOCRITE.

onatisi: so u will allow the bad system of education to spoil ur life abi?no wonder God himself said my ppl are destroyed becos of lack of knowledge.dont worry put on ur tie and start writing application letters i wish u the best of luck.but u know it is better to learn from other ppls bitter mistakes nd lessons than to for u to make the same mistake and learn from it.remeber truth is very very bitter and most times always difficult to swallow.u can either bury ur pride and shame now and get trained in a vocational feild and control ur life the way u want it or live to serve ppl.the point is ppl need to travel to know what life is all about ,nigerians making it in sa ,uk,usa are ppl that are sklled.let me ask u a question, will u rather be a graduate of sociology without any skill than be a graduate of sociology and at the same time a fashion designer?dont u know that ur education will propel u higher than other illitrate tailors.ur selling point will be the way u interact and discuss.there is a man in lagos and what he does is tieing women headgear,he isgraduate and was interviewed in usa some months back, now ppl flying him from nig to usa and uk to tie womens headgear and he collects hard currency ,u guys in naija need to see what ur nigerian brothers are doing abroad with their hands to know that success is all about the way u think and not where u are,the man name is segun gele ,look it up .well it is ur life ,and u make the choices
articles.cnn.com/2010-07-16/world/segun.gele.nigeria.headgear_1_nigerian-special-occasions-wedding?_s=PM:WORLD
Seems most of you guys don't get it, I didn't says starting something or having a vocational skills was bad in itself but only concerned about the kind of unskills graduates produced by our educational system.

Some of you are just saying what you probably not practice. It's true that some graduates are lazy or not ready to use their innate skills to find alternative means of acquiring wealth but one should not ignore the fact that some people don't even have a boko to start business.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: What's The Current Unemployment Rate In Nigeria? by Dsage1: 11:44am On Oct 01, 2012
ACM10: You see the problem with the mentality of Nigerians. Most of the rich people I know started from a humble beginning. My uncle did an apprentice job as a roadside mechanic for 6yrs. He later studied Mechanical Engineering in IMT, Enugu. He is still a "mechanic" to this day. Rich and fulfilled in his job. No rich man has pride mentality. Only politicians, musicians, and Nollywood actors and actresses have pride mentality. Ofcourse, their wealth is never sustained. Most live above their means and goes broke when event takes a bad course. Pls change your mentality.
See bros, it's quite easier for an illiterate mechanic or bricklayer to further his education than telling a whole graduate after spending several years in school to start learning mechanic/bricklaying. It's not that easy, going to school is move difficult and stressful than learning a work.

I think our educational system/government should be blamed and not graduates.

NOTE; I didn't says vocational skills are bad because I myself had two, learned one before my university education and other while waiting for my NYSC call up letter back then. But the idea of telling graduates to learn mechanic is not easy to accept if you're in their shoes.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: What's The Current Unemployment Rate In Nigeria? by Dsage1: 11:05am On Oct 01, 2012
ACM10: Something must be definitely wrong with your brain for boldly declaring that it wont be up to 20%. Unemployment in Nigeria far exceeds 20% figure. The problem is that the economic indicators in Nigeria are unreliable because of faulty data gathering. If you include the underemployment figure, it may approach or exceed 70%. The minimum salary for federal workers in Nigeria is N18,000, but preponderance of Nigerians in the private sector earns less than N15,00 per month. So there is a very high rate of unemployment in Nigeria which goes unreported
I don't think you read my post well. I meant the percentage of graduates that secured a suitable jobs each year, was not up to 20% and not the other way round please.

fankasibe: I'm in my final-year in d university, and i'm scared of graduating coz of unemployment....abeg help me.
You don't have a problem dear, just try to learn something during the remaining semester brake or while waiting for your NYSC call up letter.

For instance, you may go to Alaba or any nearest engineering workshop to learn computer repairing. Belief me,it's very nice work and beside you don't look like a local to your customer.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: What's The Current Unemployment Rate In Nigeria? by Dsage1: 10:00am On Oct 01, 2012
Emylexray: Tell those graduates to stop combing here and there for jobs. If there are no lucrative offers of employment, they should establish themselves by starting something. Unemployment is a pest that has and still eating deep into the fabric of Nigeria. Let them start something rather than continue waiting for jobs that not readily available. God bless Nigeria!
Do you think it's that easy in Nigeria? Some of them don't even have a kobo to initiate a business.

Talking about vocational skill, well that's the fault of our educational system. For instance, how would you feel if someone ask you to learn capentery after 16-18years of schooling (primary to university).

Let thanks God our life/condition rather than blaming others for their predicament.
