Tattoos just look silly, especially on blacks. I think most people will regret getting them when they are older and wiser. I see nothing attractive in them. |
LMAO @ the thread title. Has to be one of the most unintentionally funny things I've ever read |
The correct answer is Chuck Norris. I thought everybody knew that. |
Lewis Hamilton is a very popular black (mixed race) F1 driver. He had tremendous success last year but ended up not winning. There has never been a successful black race car driver, so he's kind of a big deal understandably, but a part of his popularity has to do with incessant British hype. |
oziomatv :Kofi, how you dey now? ![]() |
I was kidding about "nappy headed hoes", that is why I used the smiley. Either way, what a clever response from you. Of course I would only expect that kind of wit from someone with 666 in their their username. ![]() PS: I doubt you'd be smart enough to tell I'm being sarcastic |
4Him:4Him, that is a poor analogy. A slave is purchased property of the slavemaster. A driver or housegirl is not property. They are paid wages, and they can leave at anytime if they so choose. |
@pilgrim.1 Which kind discussion? You posted a few "out of context" bible passages with no commentary of your own, and a link to some Christian website. How is that an invitation for discussion? The terse remark was fitting for your initial post. If anything, the verses you posted seem like further jusification for slavery. I'll bite anyway. For added context, I Corinthians 7: 20 & 21 says 20Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.Care not for it is similar to saying that servants/slaves should embrace their lowly status in society, and verse 20 confirms this by saying "abide in the same calling", even if that is the position as a slave. And the second passage you posted is irrelevant to the topic. It was a letter written from Paul to Philemon encouraging him to free 1 former slave of his (Onesimus) who had newly converted to Christianity. It does not say that all slaves should be freed, or that slavery is in fact wrong. The fact that Philemon, a revered Christian man, even had a slave, again shows that the bible does not frown on the practice. Nothing you posted in any way counters the original topic of discussion that "The bible does indeed condone slavery"? |
pilgrim.1:The issue of whether or not he plagiarized the post is a red herring. The fact is that these things are written in the bible, and many Christians, blinded by their faith, either don't know or casually ignore it. Yet many of these same Christians claim that the bible is unflawed, and should be literally interpreted.longman83 link=topic=109808.msg1910538#msg1910538 date=1201883674:Lol. . . to even imagine that she would accuse ofthers of not having studied their Bibles. |
With few exceptions, I nominate the Nigerian women's football team. Almost all of dem wowo. Bunch of nappy headed hoes. ![]() |
Ghana should win on penalties, and then we can all go back to bitching about Nigeria's poor form. ![]() |
The game even has a Nigeria connection. Supposedly Fela's Sorrow Tears and Blood will be one of the songs featured on the stereo. I'll be eagerly awaiting. |
If you're really a concerned friend why not pm or email him, instead of starting this silly arsekissing attention whoring thread. Seun has a mind of his own and has come to his decision. You really need to stop trying to shove your religion down people's throats. |
How about a good homegrown coach. There's really nothing special about these European coaches. |
Seems like Angola is the future of African football. They have certainly slayed the so called giants. |
You are talking as if Benin has agreed to fix the match for us. |
Man, I think Nigeria is toast. ![]() |
Wtf What exactly is the criteria for featured threads. |
My people in North America, how are you coping. I tried Sopcast, but couldn't find a single stream for Nation's Cup. There has to be a better way. ![]() |
This Al Qaeda representative wants the new tower constructed ASAP so Americans can have a place to mourn ![]() [flash=425,355] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEvbPJrJyek&rel=1[/flash] |
It's becoming more popular for men to sit down while taking a piss. In fact 40% of Japanese men sit down on toilet when peeing. [flash=425,355] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Li_OpJiQf_s&rel=1[/flash] |
Ndipe:Democrats do not support abortion. They support a woman's right to choose. Most democrats even find the practice morally wrong. |
The truly amazing thing is that Obama carried a state that has only a 2% black population. It's great to see that many American people can see a candidate for his ideals and look past his race. It also helps that people are fed up with presidential dynasties, and want something entirely new. Cannot wait till we kick the current idiot out of office. The turnout was simply astounding which for democrats, and the democrats can also take commfort in knowing that people will not elect a religious nut like Huckabee into office. Obama Edwards 08 is invincible |
I've never heard of any language called Nigerian. |
LOL. John Lennon is dead as well. So I guess you would have to be literally dying to see all three of them. |
You guys shouldn't dismiss the question as rubbish. This is actually a very good and complicated question. I have to say yes English is Nigeria's native language. Nigeria is an official entity created by British colonialists. Since it is nothing but an official entity, it's established official language is also it's native language. Just ask yourself where the name "Nigeria" was derived from. It was not from any of so called native Nigerians' vernacular. The colonialists did not understand and had no respect for the tribal system that was in place where there was Yorubaland Igboland, Hausaland, etc. THe same goes for Cmeroon, Ghana, Niger, and pretty much all African nations |
Nairalanders list your favourite music of 2007 Here's mine M.I.A. - Kala (my fave Sri Lankan musician of all time) the most creative album I've heard this year, She also collabed with AfrikanBoy, a UK based Naija Rapper Lupe Fiasco - The Cool (just bought it today, Downloaded it a few days ago and was blown away. Refreshing to hear something besides all the gangster posturing rap) Radiohead - In Rainbows I doubt many Nigerians would be into this but any fan of quality music would appreciate this album) Favourite Single: International Player's Anthem UGK ft Outkast; also my fave video |
Are there any changeable facts? Just curious. |
That's according to the Fortune Magazine's 101 Dumbest Moments of 2007. Here is the full list. It's quite interesting. I don't know if the idea itself was dumb, but it was not as revolutionary as it was hyped to be. There have been numerous studies that show that having computers does not necessarily make kids any smarter, and in many cases can become a harmful addiction, and in fact retard intelligence. I think that money could have been well spent on science lab equipment that would truly help give Nigerian childeren the practical aspect of eductaion that is lacking in the system. Thoughts? |
Kai. You killed the credibility of your post by mentioning that fraudster Emegwali. And no he is not the father of the internet. |
spoilt: indomie for life!!!!!!!!!!! i live in the u.s and im yet to find a noodle that has the great taste of indomie . it rocks!!!!!!!Had the same dilemma when I came here. All the American noodle brands are tasteless. When I went home, my cousins say the same thing. I think you can purchase Indomie on Amazon.com for 50c/pack, and some Asian shops also carry them and other foreign brands. |
debojyde: For those who want more info on RCCG, read the link below. wikipedia article: Today, God is still doing marvelous deeds through the Redeemed Christian Church of God, worldwide. One of the well-known programs of the church is the Holy Ghost Service, an all night miracle service that holds on the first Friday of every month at the Redemption Camp at Km. 46, Lagos-Ibadan expressway. The Holy Ghost Service now holds in London quarterly and in other parts of the world. Another major service is the Holy Ghost congress which holds in the second week of December every year at the Redemption Camp.LOL. What a silly entry. Were you the one that wrote that? Don't worry. Somebody will come and delete it soon. Encyclopedias are for factual information, not dogmatic nonsense. |
