2. One of the conditions is that they live with the main applicant, you already have 2 back in Nigeria which even complicates things more

It won't cause issues with you and the one child switching now, it might for the other 2 later especially for No 2

Maybe I did not explain well. So my self and 3 kids got our dependent visa already we are back in 9ja. But out of 3 kids one is in the UK and my self and the 2 others back in 9ja. I applied with the 3 kids but for graduate visa i don't want to apply for the other 2kids in 9ja just my self, husband and 1 child. So my question is hope not applying with the other two won't cause issues?

With delays in Form A you should start the process now but then I believe you need your admission documents to process that.This you can/should also add to your email so your offer letter can be sent asap

I just got an email from Coventry University asking me to make early payment for tuition to be eligible for discount even though they are yet to send me an offer letter.

Does this mean my application for admission into their postgraduate programme has been accepted and I will subsequently get the offer letter or this is just the normal email they send to all applicants?

I am asking so I know if I should immediately initiate Form A process.

His niece is not his child so can't qualify as a child dependant unless he was granted full parental custody which he can only get from the court

In that scenario, he should ready to prove why her biological parents can't be responsible for her

Family card and a proper letter from your dentist should suffice

2. Government letters can be any letter from any arm of government to you and your wife ( in the UK a council tax letter would have been one but we don't pay such in Nigeria)
So anything from any arm of Government i.e driver's license letters from FRSC, letters with voters details, any letters on tax etc). As long as it has your names and address on it ,it should suffice

Your question is very confusing

You said you are a Dependant with 3 children,2 in Nigeria and 1 in UK and you applied same time with your children.Now you say your husband wants you to apply with only 1 child. Very confusing

Anyway, child dependants can apply later to join their parents, as long as the application is done before the expiration of the current visa if his study visa is approved

Hopefully that answers your question per whatever arrangements you have

Your deposit can still be paid before the deadline but I doubt that will be the case if a form A is used


Evidence of maintenance should be kept minimum 28days before submitting your application. The count should start the next day after any bulk transaction to your account.

Remember your POF is for your studies in the UK, any other arrangement is deceit and will attract a 10year ban when caught

Was your application a standard or priority one?

If you haven't gotten a feedback by the end of the week chase by Monday, inform your Uni and request for an extension/late enrolment

UKVI will not confirm your WAEC scores, that is up to your Uni to do so

Should they wish, it will be to confirm your WAEC result is authentic, just a colored copy of your WAEC Certificate will suffice

Make a colored copy/scan of your WAEC document before it gets worse.

They know the necessary information to extra from your certificate for confirmation if needed

If it is , simply state that you are unemployed and have been awaiting the compulsory NYSC program but decided to go back to school for Masters ( which I assume is your case?

My employment letter was issued by THE STATE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION. I was posted to work in an agency under the state. My work reference letter is carrying the agency I am working with now.

APPOINTMENT LETTER, CONFIRMATION AND PROMOTION LETTETS all came from STATE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION.

Hope UKVI will understand how CIVIL SERVICE works

I started Working as a contract staff employed by a consultant for a company from 2013 to 2016. I Was reemployed as a full staff by the company in 2017 and was issued an employment letter, I'm presently working here, i have been promoted too. My study gap is about 10 years.

Which documents can I present to address the study gap.

Note: I can't find my employment letter for the contract staff work from 2013-2016.

Do they have a May session for your course? If yes that will be the way to go from Hertfordshire 's end, then you can reapply for another AR with a valid CAS

Did you inform Hertfordshire that you had applied for an AR earlier? They should have waited before cancelling the CAS (valid for 6months, with that valid CAS, UKVI would have issued your visa).

At this point UKVI won't issue a visa without CAS, and Hertfordshire isn't willing to issue CAS to you( usually 3months to your study)

My honest advise will be to prepare for the next cohort in September

A lengthy letter regarding this plus any compensation can be sent to both parties once they come back to you about the final decision- Perhaps, visa fee can be waived or refunded as a compensation to you when reapplying in September

Keep Herts on their toes regarding this.


Let's know when you get an update, meanwhile start preparing your lengthy letter

Good day all, I applied to university in uk for Jan session, my visa was refused in Dec 2022 reason been that they were not convinced enough that I am a genuine student when interviewed and I applied for administrative review which I got a letter that the refusal has been overturned and also was told in the letter that my application will be sent to case worker for another decision. But to my greatest surprise it was refused, reason again was the school told UKVI that they are not sponsoring me and no CAS to be given. When I sent the mail to the school,they replied me that when UKVI contacted them if I can still join Jan that their response was no but can I can come in for September if my AR was successful and also that as at when UKVI requested for CAS l, the school said it was too early to issue CAS for September intake... I am just not happy with what I am facing and don't know way forward.

Most mutual funds accounts are investment accounts and although they are allowed you have to ensure you have access to the funds for your study

If you decide to proceed with this account try to get a bank letter in addition to your statement confirming that please.

Please go ahead and pay what the IHS calculator shows you. It might be a glitch in the system.

If the IHS is short and your visa is approved you will get another email with a link to pay the difference

Currently filling my application.
I’m a dependant .
I’m having issue with IHS.
My wife paid $918 for IHS after we get done with that we moved to my application and it’s asking me to $612…. I know I’m expected to pay $918 as my wife.
I’ve since restarted the application over again 5 times since last night double checking the course end and start date several times… it keeps telling me to pay $612….
Do anybody have idea of what might be wrong?

The next degree should be higher than your previous degree unless there is a reason why it is on the same level (for instance a change in career etc),your Uni will advise

1. It doesn't matter,at this point they are not travelling with you, in 3mths they will apply to join you

2.If they don't depend on you then they don't.
When your family is applying they will provide evidence to show proof of relationship (I e birth certificate, marriage certificate etc). As long as your status shows married that's all you need to do at your end.
