After a lot of research , I saw that getting justice for errors made by your case handler was not a very discussed topic . Not too many people had any proper information and those that did just mumbled everything into very lengthy write ups . I just ignored everything and decided to send a mail to UKVI . I just replied the rejection mail I received and I got a response on the steps to take to get a review , but they wouldn’t review it fast . But what did I have to lose na , so I applied for a review and made the payment, I attached all my evidences and just forgot about it . I was working one day and I saw a mail with an apology attached . Then I received a refund for the review application I sent in . Then I got another mail apologizing and asking me for an account to make a refund of my initial visa application and then another mail telling me that they had removed the visa refusal from my travel history . I was angry , disappointed, and just plain irritated. I informed the school about the reversal of the decision and they advised me to defer the initial admission so they could issue me a new offer . I got the offer , received an updated CAS and then proceeded to apply for a fresh visa . 7 days after , I received a mail that my passport was ready for collection. DHL delivered the very next day , I opened the package , opened my passport and I saw the VISA. I wasn’t excited , I didn’t feel any relief , there’s was no sense of conquering . I just felt blank . I’m in the UK now and I don’t feel any different. I still wish I could meet that case worker in person and just ask what he/she was thinking or drinking when handling my initial application . I just want to know if UKVI applied any sanction to the case worker for making such an error .

Anyway , I wish everyone applying for a visa the best of luck . And please put it at the back of your mind , it’s human beings reviewing your applications and they can make mistakes . And if you ask me , most of those decisions are taken At TLS . Just my thoughts .

However,it's good to update all your records especially financial records. If all 3 names are in her passport then she can update her record in the bank

Last I remember it takes less than 24 hours to do so.She should contact her bank

My cousin is about to submit her Visa application. Her bank statement only carries her "Surname" and "Firstname" (but it doesn't include her middle-name)

E.g Full name is Ejay Rita Ngozi but bank statement reads just Ejay Rita (surname being Ejay).

Could this be a problem?

1. If they aren't travelling with you then that's a No

2. People financially dependant on you doesn't necessarily mean POF, so if you provide for your family financially then say Yes,if you don't and your spouse does say No

Then they also ask if my family are financially depending on me? Yes or No. Which Will I pick?

My fear is, if I say Yes that they are traveling with me and yes to, they're financially depending on me, when I know they are not traveling with me immediately. Won't Ukvi be expecting to see POF of family of 4?

I should say No No both, it won't affect them when they are filling that of dependants.? Pls help I am confused. I attended the picture of the questions

There has to be progression in your study

You need a CAS from your Uni

You need to pay the deposit/full fees

2. You don't need to show maintenance but you will need evidence of the balance of your fees in your account

Obviously No TB test as well

Pretty straight forward

No it isn't but you can use that option or the last one so it creates more options to put the BRP

Thank you for response and for your kind observation. I was misled that the process of getting the sole responsibility will take a minimum of 6 months and I didn’t have that time so I thought to try it out but unfortunately I’m here now!

Now back to the solution! Someone offered to help with a genuine court order but it’s from a Kaduna court meanwhile my kids and husband live in Lagos. Please hope location isn’t an issue?

You can generate it via banking app as along as the statement has the date issued , your name,bank name, balance and standard contacts details for the bank etc.

There is no section like that so there's nothing to declare about your fees.

If you are trying to assure the ECO that funds are not recycled then you can include your bank statements plus school fees receipts and a cover letter to address the documents you have provided

House, my piece of advice to prospective UK students.
If you are coming to the UK as a student and wants to join a whatsapp /Facebook/telegram group. Please try and verify or better still join the one created by your school.
Before coming to the UK I joined one whatsapp group created by one Nigeria who was already at the school that I was heading to. Infact he was educating us on how to fit into UK system and many other things. Then he later advertised an accommodation for prospective students. That was where I made a big mistake by trusting him.
To cut the long story shot . When I landed in the UK, he gave me direction to his place and later picked me at the bus station, took me to his house and collected a two months (October and November) upfront rent of £980 . My first two months was like hell, accommodation that never existed. I had to identify a Pastor of a nearby church who assisted me to confront the guy. That was how he promised to refund the money.
Hmmmm but till date he was only able to return only £180
So please be careful with people you meet online during this japa . Know the person before going to meet him. Though sometimes one can still meet Good ones but my experience wasn't funny.
I decided to give this advice because I am seeing a lot of prospective students asking of whatsapp links . Verify before you join.

You aren't applying with any dependant doesn't mean you don't have one. You are married, indicate that, if your spouse details are asked, indicate that and his address in the UK etc.The rest will fall in-line when he applies for his dependant visa


2. No he doesn't need any evidence of maintenance (POF)

3. You can stay in a shared apartment that has double room or a studio.Make sure you double check with the rental agency before proceeding

PCC is not necessary. DBS checks are what matters more in my opinion.

You could get it as an additional document if you choose to work in certain sensitive sectors

Your POF is for your study in the UK, any other arrangements is full on deceit and will attract a 10year ban.

Greetings all. I have a hinge in my application to study in the UK. I got an unconditional offer in the university of Dundee for September intake. I have paid my tuition fee of 5000k. They demanded a proof of fund after that so dat they can issue me CAS. So I ran a fresh bank statement for 29 days after which I uploaded it on the 18th of April but de mistake I made was that I removed the money from the bank that same day. (Note that the last day of issuance of cas is in august) I was scheduled for a pre cas interview 3 days ago and during the interview by a Nigerian lady, she told me to upload an updated copy of my bank statement…. And this is where I got issues… I am still thinking of what to do? Guys help me out…. @duchess90 @everyone. Thanks
