As for the rent it's still in my name as I paid my rent around August 2022 to expire August 2023 even though I got the money back from him.

Then for bill like nepa bill I guess...this carries the landlord details.

1) what do I do concerning the above?

2) Can I get a letter from my company addressed to my husband to show he live at the address? And can he upload this?

3) Can I upload for him our dentist family card?

4) Can I upload a letter from our doctor (a hospital) to show he live at the address?

I really cannot picture what I can upload that will be substantial aside pictures and marriage certificate just making me sick. Even supermarket shopping receipt won't fly cos it won't show adress.

Hello guys I greet you all.

So I will be applying for a student visa in a couple of days and I need guidance as to what to upload. I (female) is the MA and I will be applying with my partner.

All my documents, international passport, offer letter and CAS is carrying my full name (maiden name). I got married October ending 2022 and I recently do a change of name and newspaper publication 8days ago.

1) I want to know if there's any need submitting the affidavit for change of name and newspaper publication since all my documents are still in my name? Asking because I do not want to complicate things for myself.

2) when filling the visa form and the asked for my name will I have to fill in all of my name as it's on my documents or I will have to use my husband's surname since I have changed my name?

3) My husband was living in a town close to my town before we got married and before our marriage he was planning to come settle in the town where I live. After our marriage he relocated to my town and started living with me due to house agents stress/wahala though he takes care of the bills anyways. Our registry certificate carries his former address and also showing our current address as my address. I hope this wont be a red flag?

4) Lastly, these are the list of documents I plan to upload for him during the visa application. His international passport, MA (POF), Consent letter to use POF, Home office consent letter, TB result, Marriage certificate, family pictures. Is this okay? He's scared and wants us to pay an agent to help us with the application but I'm scared of using an agent.

It is applies to people seeking study visa from January 2024.

However prepare to provide enough evidence if you are bringing your dependant and already had a study visa prior to the new changes.

2. There's no weight in using a stamped letter. Submit your reference letter as it comes (stamped or unstamped). It must be signed though.

3. I won't be able to suggest when I don't know the reason why you were refused. The generic reason borders around 'insufficient home ties'. If that is your case then a sentence around that should be fine.

Secondly, does a reference letter from previous work has to be stamped with the company's stamp or just signature is enough? Or does a stamped reference carries heavier recognition?

Lastly, I was denied US student visa 2021. I will be declaring that but then, I no longer have the document given to me. Please, I'd appreciate your suggestion on sighting the reason for denial when filling that part .

Your child dependant maintenance is for 9months

2. To confirm money has not been recycled they might request for evidence of the MAs maintenance in that case submit what is in your account plus any invoices or bills paid since your arrival, it should balance out

Some ECOs will request for the MAs bank statement from a particular date. (time of your application till date)

It will apply to students with admission start dates from January 2024.

However, there will be more checks generally from next year so when applying prepare enough evidence to show they are your dependants and ensure the POF is for their stay with you

IHS is calculated per year and the sum of fixed for study visa regardless of what type of program you go for

Visa fees are fixed as well regardless of what type of program you go for

When fees are paid in a different currency you have to understand that the exchange rate will always change, plus your bank will include charges

You might need to ask your bank what exchange was used on their end on the day you paid the fees

hello nairaland, i have a question to ask. i have a sister going for masters programme at middlesex university which is 1year course. Also i am going for a degree course at the same university called a top-up programme, which is also 1 year course. She just paid for the IHS and visa fee but she paid more than that 705 pounds ihs fee and that 363 visa fee when paying in dollars. the ihs in dollars is 912.28 and the visa fee is 470 dollars. She paid more than the actual conversion rate. Now the question is that, is there any difference in the visa fee and IHS fee for masters programme and a degree programme. please explain.

She is entitled to bring her dependant if she wants to

The onus is on you both to prove that your relationship is substantial (there will be scrutiny on this going forward)

This means I am exempt from presenting the TB Certificate. But i want to choose a VAC in Nigeria to submit the biometrics and other documents.

I want to use this medium to make a passionate appeal to you all to kindly come to my aid. I single handedly handled the application process of my younger brother from scratch to CAS approval stage. Every documents required for visa processing including POF is ready, sitting in my laptop. However, I have been seriously ill which has prevented me from doing visa application. Besides, I must confess I need tutoring and guidance on how to go about it. I’ve tried contacting some agents but they kept calling outrageous amounts and I won’t be able to dole out such because I’ve expended a lot on my health recovery already. His resumption is 1st week of July and his course duration is 15months, would like to know his exact amount of IHS in dollars. I’ve tried sending email request to duchess90 and other experienced folks in the house but seem not to be getting any responses. I would appreciate help via DM messages from experienced colleagues in the house. Is the lady in question his partner or wife if Not then No.


He can't just take someone he doesn't have a substantial relationship/marriage with as a Dependant even if the person is the mother of his children.In addition to the birth certificate he has to submit a court order to show he has sole parental responsibility, if the court order declares it as shared responsibility between both parents then there has to be some form of consent from the mother in addition to the court order.

2. If she is his partner/wife then yes she can apply as his dependant.
