Hello, My opinion will be completely different. Write Plab 1 in Nigeria and pass it Apply for visit visa and write Plab 2 in the UK and pass it Apply for NHS jobs and get your Tier 2 sponsorship as a medical doctor. Do masters anytime he wants to and at his pace Cheers Itzqueency: Thank you for this info. Please I need more info for my brother. He is a medical doctor who wants to apply for fall admission next year. He wants to do masters in global health, but wants to also be able to write his PLAB exams over there, will you advice him to go for masters or make plans to write Plab 1 here in Nigeria first? Can others please also throw more light in this please. Thank you |

Hello, It depends on what you aim to achieve. Msc will have taught core and optional modules and a thesis (usually 3months) at the end of the course. While MRes is a completed thesis based on an independent research project. You will work independently with the support of a supervisor. You may also do some training courses on research. You can't compare both,it's like comparing oranges to apples. Cheers Chuksy12: Good morning house... please I will love to know which is better between Masters of Research (Mres) and Masters of Science (Msc)... And also the career prospects between the two of them?? |

Hi Naomimary I am well thanks for asking No because your parents applied and not you. The questions on refusals apply directly to you Cheers Naomimary: @ Duchess
Good morning! How are you doing?
Quick question - If my parents applied for US visa lottery when I was little but didn’t get it, is that considered a visa refusal? Do i have to state it as a refusal during my application? It was 15/17 years ago. |

Hello You filled it correctly, The amount is for the duration of your course plus additional 4months, if you put the right start and end dates then that should be correct. You can plan for this and compare the final figure when you start to fill your application and get the link to pay IHS People get different figures because they have different start and end dates or because their dependants may join them at a later time. Use the link as your guide Cheers onerandomchick: Hi Duchess,
So for this IHS calculator, I keep getting £705 per person for our IHS Fee, I don’t know if I am not filling the form well. i pick Student as the visa type, since PB S Tier 4 Student doesn’t have optiona under it.
Please can you help me with the right one to pick. I attached pictures. Thanks so much |

Hello, Yes you have to do the TB test again and if your sample was sputum then it will.most likely be same Cheers onerandomchick: So I did a TB test last year 2021 because I was planning to go to the Uk, I and my family (family of 4). I did it when I had a conditional offer and the condition was to provide transcript, however, transcript didn’t come out and ky TB test expired in February 2022.
Now I have all my docs, gotten unconditional offer and going ahead to process my Form A, do I have to do a new tb test, will I go through the same process if I present our old TB certs. Also, for someone that did sputum test before to get their own cert, will they have to do the sputum test again and wait another 3 months, before they can get their cert again
Thanks, it is very urgent, eshey |

Hello, Where did I insult you? Saying english is an issue? That's no insult to me, if it is to you then I apologize. Immaturity?? Far far from that. Anyway glad things are clear now, we learn everyday Cheers DarkEvanny: I won’t engage your immaturity here, if I didn’t actually understand your response or miscommunication , this is way you ought to clarify things? Throwing unnecessary insults? Please get off your high horse . There was an error in your statement & I pointed it out, op is not the only user in this trend others are reading as well . Hello, I doubt you read and understood my response before jumping into it. Either that or truly English is an issue. I gave that illustration to drive home my point, you mentioned only the current employment. I take my time to respond to question and the ones I don't know or have been responded to I skip. It's okay to say you didn't understand what I wrote. The OP that asked that question did Just to draw your attention on the highlighted. Again my opinion is that the gap should cover all through and correspond with the CV not halfway Cheers DarkEvanny: Well thats not what you said , you said ‘Does your current employment cover all 7years? If it doesn't you might need to get from previous employer’ which is wrong . The reference doesn’t need to cover the full 7 years
If he worked for only 1 year, then yes he should get a reference to cover for atleast the previous 3years . |

Hello, My understanding of gap seems to be different from others. I am still waiting for @darkevanny to respond to my question. Yours is different, you can provide the reference from previous employer for the period you worked, if you haven't for the rest then that's fine, it will correspond with your CV. For others that have references from other employment I will assume they will include it so it corresponds with their CV and nothing is left out or gaps are not covered halfway My opinion though Cheers Pauloot: @duchess please for a study gap of 2011-2022, i can only provide reference from previous employer between 2011-2019. Not working since then. Does that reference letter supplied enough for the remaining few years? Thanks |

Hello, If the person worked with a company for only 1year what happens to the rest of 6 year gap? DarkEvanny: You don’t need employment reference to cover for the full 7 years study gap. Current one is sufficient, moreover evidence of study gap is only needed after 5 years ( ukvi website) |
