Hello,

What do you mean by first and second year PhD results as highlighted.

Do you progress review? There is always only one final result at the end of your program after your viva defense which could either be generally a pass, pass with minor corrections or a fail

Is that the result you refer to?

Champay:
Good afternoon everyone. Please I need sound advise. I have a bachelor degree dated 2012. A masters dated 2014. Same course. Currently undergoing my PHD which I started since 2019. Same course. But for ASUU strike, I would have my PHD certificate at hand now. Now, I want to apply for a masters degree (very close course to the one I did for my Nigerian masters) in the UK. Hope that won't affect?

And again, is my PHD admission letter enough to serve as proof of PHD? I could add my first year and second year PHD results too
. Will that suffice? Even though I intend to write a cover letter stating why I strongly believe going to the UK to obtain a masters degree in the same course would be so beneficial and prospects filled.

Hello,

It depends what country is it? How long have you been resident there? How long will you be in Nigeria?

Why are you doing your TB elsewhere and biometrics elsewhere?

Stick to one location and do it all

Cheers

Hello,

I think there is a section for travel documents on TLS if I am correct.

What did you upload there? If you missed that, they might need to help you upload it during your biometrics and you have to pay for that

Cheers

OmichaelO:
Hi, kindly, Is there a cause to worry if one didn't upload passport BioData page on TLS?

Thank you
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by duchess90(f): 6:48am On May 24, 2022
Hello,

If you look at the same page you'll see a similar question and answer to yours.

Take your checklist, passport and copy of your biodata page.

ensure you didn't miss any documents when you were uploading them, if you did then you'll need that document to be scanned at TLS.

Cheers

Hello,

Anyone can start an undergraduate study at any age in the UK. The question is the evidence to show study gap for those number of years.

Also, your friend can ask directly

Make sure you didn't leave anything out when you were uploading them.

That is almost 2plus months of expiration. You can't use an expired passport for TB and CAS.

Renew it and proceed

Hi @francology41

I am quite surprised the application allowed her skip that step, I would assume it is important.

It's either it is ignored as an error or application is cancelled and redone.
Not sure there is anyway you can send an information unless it is requested.

Not sure also that it is enough reason to deny her a visa either, so I wouldn't worry too much. Let her look out for NSF requesting additional information on accommodation or just wait it out.

My opinion though, others may defer

Cheers

Francology41:
Good day.
my friend's visa application was submitted without adding the temporary accommodation details of where she will stay in the UK when she arrives. She said she forgot to add it during filling the visa form(even though she had booked for the accommodation days ago before submitting the visa application).

I hope this won't affect her visa decision.
And is there anything that can be done to add the details back to the application?

Hello,

How old is your relative? Where are the natural birth parents and what conditions are currently making them incapable of taking decisions for their child?

You will need a lawyer to follow the legal process, they will advise better

Thank you for the prompt response.

Also what are processes of making a relative your legal guardian? Is it straightforward in Nigeria and How may UKVI verify this?

Interesting,

This was updated in 2020, that means quarterly reporting by Uni's to UKVI may also be updated which is what I was referring to when I mentioned volume(per intake/academic session)

Good to know and thanks for sharing

Cheers

Bourne007:
I looked it up and this is what they ask for.

TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by duchess90(f): 12:55pm On May 22, 2022
Hello

You will shocked there is a section like that as a volume (as per intake/academic session) and if needed individually

Academic progression is also to avoid people repeating same level of education/course and extending their stay unnecessarily

But yes I agree the Uni's have a license to protect

Cheers

Bourne007:
I don't think being refused is part of CAS form when filling in applicant's details by unis.

Academic progression came into law and one of the main reasons universities ask previous visa details is to determine if a student can show that their course represents progression from any previous course they have or had studied in the UK.

Another reason is to protect their license as the number of student refusal can impact their license. The Visa refusal rate if high will flag up and they also go through UKVI audit about their processes and procedures to see if they've been compliant. They view these refusal details and then use that to determine whether applicant will have a straight forward application for a visa.

I personally don't think it has any implication but what I don't understand is being insincere in one's application and then dey run kiti kiti dey run kata kata asking for people's opinion undecided

Hello,

You can get married anytime and your dependant can apply anytime

It shouldn't be a concern

What about in the instance whereby during your CAS request, you didn't specify you had a dependent (because you are not married yet). after you get married later, will your dependent be able to apply?

is this possible?

Hello

I think study gap documents might be for more than 5 years gap.

My opinion is apply as usual and just prepare additional documents incase it is requested, for instance NYSC covers 2019, and a reference letter from your aunt's company plus your CV can be a second document for 2020 till date.

I don't know if you were paid full time or you just volunteered to work with your aunty and was given a little upkeep, both scenarios are okay.

Hope it helps

Cheers

Hello @duchesss, Good morning ma’am.

Please I have a question to ask you, I hope you can answer me. Thank you.

I’m about to apply for my visa and I’m not sure of the right documents.
I finished my undergrad 2018 and completed nysc 2019. I haven’t been in stable employment since then, I’ve been working with my aunt. So my question is: do I need to include an employment reference in my visa application or there’s no need? I’ve been seeing posts about study gap, so I’m curious. Thank you ma’am.

Then declare it during your visa application.

The point is, don't be afraid to declare it when and if it is asked

Cheers

Some university never request for past visa refusal like university of Portsmouth and CAS was issued. What can we do then ?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by duchess90(f): 11:26am On May 22, 2022
Hello

The implications are endless but let me give you one example as a scenario.

You hide your visa refusal for instance from your Uni and pay your deposit say £5000

Your Uni request and submit your CAS details to UKVI, part of the questions is on refusal and your UNI responds No.

You get your CAS and submit your visa application and then declare your refusal so you say Yes

The visa officer spots this and refuses your visa amongst other things, you go back to the Uni and request refund do you think they should refund your deposit?

Declaring your refusal paints a clear picture of your travel/immigration history and ensures the details they have on their end matches yours. It naturally shouldn't affect their decision to grant you admission unless on severe cases for instance ban.

And yes this scenario has happened before.

Cheers

What is the implication of saying NO previous visa refusals during the precas interview and eventually declare during the visa process with the embassy?

Hello,

I had already responded to your question a few pages back if you can take your time and look through.

Good Day Everyone,

I really need all available inputs.

I made an application through an agent to Ulster University (UK) without declaring my past visa refusals. I do not know if I have the opportunity to make this right during my Pre Cas Interview.

I do understand I have to declare when it’s time to process my visa.

I am really skeptical at the moment. Should I just overlook the school application and make things right by declaring when it’s time to process my UK VISA?

Most importantly, do UK schools shares student’s informations with the UK embassy at VISA processing time?

Thanks and God bless as you all avail me with viable feedbacks.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by duchess90(f): 2:26am On May 22, 2022
Hello,

Yes,part of their conditions as a licensed institution is to provide details of their students to UKVI if and when needed.

So your school has a duty to send information before study processes, when you study and they collate data after you study in some cases.

If you are asked during precas interview please say so and explain why.

Most important avoid using agents when you can DIY

Cheers

Hello,

You seem to have a bit of complicated issue with SA visa, not sure how an embassy will state the bolded as a reason to refuse anyone. It always has something to do with the conditions you used your previous visa, well atleast you left on your own.

Anyway back to your questions, regardless of whether you submit the old or new , your details are on the system even when you used TC to travel avoiding stamps on your passport.

So you can submit only the new passport, your old passport number is always in the new one anyway, keep your old passport ready incase you get a NSF email and they request for additional documents.

The most important things is to declare your SA situation in your application and hope for the best.

UKVI knows were and what to look for if they are interested, they can always consults SA allies if needed.

Pray for the best and hope it isn't an issue

Cheers

Bosayan:
The visa is allows me to stay in SA and work as a volunteer for 3 years and it allow me to go in and out of SA if I want for that period of 3 years, which I do come to Nigeria and go back for that period.. Note I work in my church as a volunteer the visa was given to me under the name of my church. So when I came to Nigeria 2020 to renew my passport I entered SA back to submit the renewal December 2020 before it expired in January 2021,I have already submitted for the renewal which I waited for a whole year before the decision came out and it was refused.
As to why it was refused, they are just not ready to renew visa for a lot of foreigners including Zimbabwean and co so the refusal does not apply to only me…Reason why I jejely pack my load when the decision came out because I don’t want to continue staying since I don’t have a valid visa again

Good day people of God
I am new here
Please I need your input on this my story
I have been living in South Africa since 2018 with long visitor visa of 3 years…They call it voluntary visa here…it expired 2021..But before it expired I put in for a renewal which I did not get the decision for up to a year, January this year…Anytime I asked about my application they are still on it no approval yet because they’re working remotely, so January this year I got the decision and it was refused,I was asked to appeal which I did but the decision is the same last month.. I had nothing to do than to go back home but I went home with TC since I don’t have a valid visa on my passport again. So now am applying for UK visa
My question is I don’t know my chances as per visa approval because of my passport as there is stamp of entry there when I entered SA back 2020 dec before my permit expired January 2021but my passport was not stamped when I was coming back home this year.Note my expired permit is on my old passport, because I came home to renew my passport that 2020 and went back to SA with the old and new passport but the new passport was stamped at the point of entry..Please should I submit but my old and new passport when applying for UK visa and back it up with reason why my passport was not stamped when I was returning to Nigeria this year? Please help your input will be much appreciated as to how to go about it

Hello,

It's not a refusal and you didn't visit.

My understanding about visa application is focused on refusals or if you have visited any other country.

I won't worry about your russian visa, for the other countries you visited state them accordingly in your application.

It should be fine

Hello,

I believe most schools are overwhelmed with lots of application, the only thing you can do is chase and keep chasing with emails or phone calls if you can.

Please ask your friend if he works in the admission office, if he does then maybe the bolded is true if not he shouldn't speculate.

Most schools will respond even if it is to decline your application. You have already gotten an unconventional offer,if your HND was a problem it would have flagged up at that point.

What your friend can do is to point you to the right correspondence to get results.

Keep chasing

Cheers

Hi @Naomimary,

I am good thanks for asking.

Back to your question, will this be for your visa? If your school is happy with that transcript then I don't see that as a problem with your visa application.

However, ensure the person whose contact details is on your transcript is available just incase the visa officer to wants to verify it. Make the contact no dey switched off or and make the person ready to respond to email

I hope my response is nice enough

Cheers

Naomimary:
Hi duchess! How are you doing?
What happens if a person submits student copy transcripts that weren’t signed or stamped but were printed on letterhead with contact details? Please, be nice with your responses. Can it result in a visa refusal? I stupidly didn’t check to be sure it was stamped and signed before submitting it for my visa application.
