Boris dare not sack anyone on grounds of having extra-marital affair. If he tries it (which he won't) the British Tabloids will roast Boris and mock him for the next 3 months every day in the newspapers as Boris himself has now been married 3 times, has a series of extramarital affairs and even has a love child born whilst he was married to wife no 2. His Wikipedia page does not have an accurate figure for the number of kids he has and just reads Children - at least 6 and Boris himself has not disclosed how many children he has. I'm not judging him though as no body holy pass. He is just following in the steps of Former Prime Minister John Major and Former US Prez Bill Clinton.

So he dare not sack Hancock for the same thing he is guilty of and las las he will give him a soft landing during a cabinet reshuffle.

I like the part in bold. In Nigeria sef our politicians do not care about this kind of thing.

Dear Nairalanders, there is something that I don't really understand about life or let me say religion. I know some people may see it as luck or destiny. But if we call it destiny, then every Christian or all child of God suspose to be prosper and leave a better life than Dangote.

But when I check those guys we call pastors and Alfa in School (University) they don't play with Church Fellowship or Mosque prayers, they get the best results, as in when it come to Education, they are very sound but most of this people end up teaching in one local private school or the other. While those Stubborn guys, that go to Club and party every night, many of them manage to get Third class but they end up in better companies, some are abroad while some are in government.

Also, those ladies that doesn't allow man to touch thier hand not to talk of hugs, infact majority of them are still virgin base on thier looks and behavior ( Not all). They always reserve thier body for thier future husband Many of those ladies too are on the street looking for husband up till now and looking old now. Even those that marry among them are still looking for the friut of the womb. But those strippers, Club girls, they hardly attend attend class and many of them even graduated with poor result get the best husband, have beautiful kids and better job.

Now my question is, why those who lived a wayward life in school get better opportunities than Church goer or those Alfa?

I think so many "Christians" in Nigeria completely isolate themselves from the "world" and neglect to do what is needed to advance in life.
Even Jesus alluded to that in one of his parables (Luke 16: 1-12). Verse 8: "And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light."

The visa usually states that no work or recourse of public fund. With those you cannot work legally.

Options to work Legally are:

1. Hooking a man on tier2/ILR like Lexusgs430, with this visa you are a dependent and can do unlimited work and unlimited hours

2. Getting a job based on your skill in Nigeria and then applying for the Point based system tier 2 visa, you need 70 points to be accepted; I am currently in via this route

3. Applying for a Master etc; you are eligible to 20hrs or so per week. But unlimited during holidays, but you can always tweak the system

Sharp guys have worked with the visiting Visa, but it's not legal

Prioritise this. Lexusgs is your man any day. He can even book you an appointment with the Queen if you ask nicely.

I once told a friend in my school to respect the 20hr work restriction so he is not caught, which might jeopardise his chance of getting a visa should he choose to continue his education. He said he will not comeback to the UK to study so he didn't care. Fortunately he wasn't caught but he came back a year or two later to further his education. Never say never. For some, they go back home thinking they will not return and then their jobs back home decides to send them back either for training or assignment. That's when the "had I known" cry begins.
Hopefully this lady and her husband have enough to clear the debt and move on with their lives.

Ifa religion (Yoruba religion) but
I have studied the global spread
of the Ifa faith to Cuba, Brazil,
Trinidad and Tobago, U.S.A,
UK, due to the late 1700s and 1800s trans-Atlantic deportation
of Yorubas via slave schooners
and legal migration after 1900.


There are over 10,000 Babalawos (Ifa priests) in Cuba alone among Afro-Cubans and white Cubans and
Professor Wole Soyinka regularly visits Cuba on invitation to give
lectures about the Yoruba religion. Fidel Castro even gave a rousing welcome to Ooni Sijuade anytime he came to Cuba to see the Yoruba Diaspora being the leader from the Source or Ife.

Bahia in Brazil is another major focal point of Yoruba culture and religion from the 1800s, and one of the sons of Alaafin Abiodun of the Oyo Empire (his son was taken as a war prisoner and shipped to Brazil where he got married).

His wife then gave birth to a prominent son in Brazil who served and distinguished himself in the
Brazilian army in the 1800s.

predictions. In 1985, he said an earthquake fault line runs from the
Atlantic ocean through Lagos State right up to Oyo State).

3. Chief Elebuibon

...and more have on many
occasions in newspaper articles corrected this defamation by letting people know that it is against the spiritual laws for people to say Babalawos kill for rituals because there are karmic consequences or repercussions for doing so.

The Ifa belief system emphasises purity of thought and spiritual balance. I personally respect them
for that.

1. The Yoruba term Babalawo is wrongly used by some ignorant folks and some sections of the media for "Herbalists" and "ritualists," but Babalawos (Ifa priests) - the priests of the Yoruba religion, are the equivalents of Roman Catholic and Anglican church priests or Buddhist priests or monks, etc, who are in charge
of religious liturgy.

2. Onisegun (the Yoruba name for
a Herbalist who uses herbs or plants to treat people like you have
Herbalists in China, India, UK, U.S.A).

3. Oloogun ika (the Yoruba name
for those who commit evil or use diabolic or psychic means to harm others).

Recently i got an interview in one of the leading IT Company. It is CMMI level company so i thought to try. I gave written test and technical round of interview, then again technical round with manager and he put me on hold.
After i asked the reason to HR, she told me manager put you on hold. Again after 3 months i got a call that now you have to give final round of interview.
I went there for another technical round and got selected. This time my appraisal is due in current company which is on next month so i can’t accept first offer which is 15% raise.
I have 50k salary so it’s obvious I will get 15% in current company so i asked for 30% raise and she offered me 54k on hand. My current on hand is around 45k so i told her that i won’t join at these much less and if she wants to renegotiate, i am open for that. She after offered me 55k. I was like shocked that is this called negotiation. She is asking me for 1k more. Am i at grocery store or what? I said no.
She said she is chasing me from few days to convince me but now she won’t. So i said, if your offer is convincing, no need to chase anyone. What does it make sense to give someone 1k more? She said, if you want to join at the offer, call me or reply me.
I never replied and called.

I will go for the Tier 1/Global Talent as the easiest. 3 Years to ILR (5 for passport and 5 for spouse for ILR/passport), the least documentation and time spent on Tier 2 counts. The cost is the only downside. I'm due next month but still considering applying as I haven't been able to justify that amount of money leaving my account. All my previous visa's bar one were done at a cost to my employer including my wife's, but this time around I can't fathom £2300 + £800 (same day) + £200 (transport/fingerprint) = £3300 for ILR at once!

The UK is really making a killing from visas. I'm only happy now because our EU friends will feel the same heat and they don't even have that kinda of money especially for Tier 2 (skilled worker as now is).

Again, there seems to be a catch with Tier 2/skilled worker visa - salary threshold when due for ILR.

Yes, surprisingly not many know about the Tier 1 route and how you can get ILR in 3 years. If you can, get the ILR as soon as possible as the cost keeps increasing.
