The only problem I have with her comment is her saying that one of the judges called her advising her to go to the supreme court. A judge should not be calling a litigant. But no where did she mention that she has the judiciary under her belt.

From who or which bank and how much? I implore Nigerians not to stop at reading newspaper headlines but to read the details and make up their mind whether the headline is a true reflection of the story or the writers imagination.

Good, even the Bible says:

It is confirmed that First Bank of Nigeria Plc has sacked all their secretries in all their branches. The reason is that they are of no use to the bank. But why this time? Why were they employed at the first place?
You can confirmed from any First Bank Staff.

I guess it is part of their business reorganisation strategy. They were probably needed when they were employed but no longer needed. If you had a business I am sure you will not keep people on your payroll for a very long time if you feel they won't add value to your business. welcome to capitalism.
Politics › Re: Recent Supreme Court Judgements - International Embarrassment by dustydee: 9:01am On Feb 04, 2016
Mixty:
I am not an APC groupie. Neither am I a PDP zombie. I have been a strong critic of the Buhari govt. I have opened threads to lambast the current APC government.

However. The truth must be told. It is shameful that the supreme court will affirm elections that both the national and international communities have condemned for the mindless rigging that the marred the election.

Two case studies are the Rivers and akwa ibom state governorship elections that were marred with electoral malpractices. both the tribunal and the court of appeal validated the fact thar bothe elections were rigged without an iota of conscience. yet the supreme court shamelessly validated those rigged elections to the surprise of Nigerians and the world at last.

The supreme court judgement of late has become a national and international embarrassment. And our highest court in the land is beginning to lose their reputation.

The supreme court is beginning to emerge as the greaest threat to free and fair elections in Nigeria.

Mixty
Whilst I agree with you that justice seems not to have been done, our laws also need to be amended to avoid a repeat of this in the future. If not then we are likely to see more violence during elections as it will be winner takes all whether it was free and fair or not.

Eric Holder?

Even in the United States, a Lawyer not Licensed in another State cannot defend or do anything as a Lawyer in that State, let alone one from the United States coming to Africa to defend a Company known for ripping her Customers off.

Eric Holder lives and practices Law in the United States, MTN operates and ripped people off in Nigeria, so is answerable to the Laws of Sango and our Land.
As simple as that. If it is advisory role, maybe but not to challenge the fine.

StuntingBlack:
Can someone please tell me the usefullness of our NNPC if I may ask? So far, observations till date only shows the NNPC as nothing but just a sack of disgrace of a federal institution that keeps failing to make any tangible impact in the life of the average Nigerian. Why then should selling this disgrace called NNPC be a problem for us? I'll rather NNPC be privatized than my life. At the very least, I stand to gain indirectly from a Chinese acquisition than from one incompetent government institution lacking integrity.

And though I may have voted Buhari with my thumbs, its quite foolhardy to keep pinning blames on the past administration (even though its a fact) rather than concentrate on resolving the current economic situation. Its already established Jonadunce is the incompetent and corrupt buffoon responsible for the current mess. But why keep blabbering over and over on the same thing instead of fixing issues?

Save words for later and address reality, oh ye APC friends!!!

This time it's not APC apportioning blame but an independent analyst. I agree that we should move forward and stop trading blame. There is a lot wrong with the NNPC and if this government can fix that, that will be some achievement.

To even think some people were thinking of passing a bill against social media shows how much of an insensitive blokes they are.

True this medium a lot transparency has reflect in our environment. The last election proves that.

In fact, social media will go a long way in curbing the scourge called corruption cause everyone report state of thing by just few tweet and Facebook post and watch our ever efficient blogs makes it a news.

Very good thing for a developing nation.
The bill was aimed at curbing false reporting not the use of social media

Generally Fulani's kanuris Hausa's are generally used interchangeably by the average Nigerian
That is the problem. They don't like to be seen as such. Moreover it misleads the young ones in our midst to think they are one and the same which could lead to a lot of misconceptions. I once failed an interview because I relied on what someone called a particular ethnic group and even when the interviewer mentioned the correct group, I insisted on my knowledge because it had been used in my presence repeatedly. When I eventually checked after, I knew I had failed. sad

caranda employs contract staff for jaiz bank, unity bank, and few others. i don't know why the OP sees himself as a permanent staff. are the recruitment requirements for entering caranda the same thing as BOA?
That is the point I am trying to make. A staff of NNPC seconded to Mobil cannot and should not complain that he is not being paid the same allowances that a Mobil staff is paid. Even within the same organisation, employees could have different terms of employment.

I so much love this fayose because he understands all the games of APC trying to silence him.

In sane society, that buffoon that call himself aluko will be picked up immediately at the channel TV gate for lying under oath!

If bubu the fake corruption fighter fails to order EFCC to pick this Aluko, then I will conclude that APC paid him to dent fayose which he failed woefully!
Which economic and financial crime has he committed? You should have said the Police or DSS should have picked him up not the EFCC.

duke79:
Is it justifiable under the ambit of the law to have 2 set of staff earning differently while doing the same job? Yes its a contract job, am not arguing that but they have promised to get us into pernmanant posts after 6 months probation. There is no where in the world this prevailing situation will happen. Salary margin is just too wide to bear the pain. i dont mind relinquishing the benefits but i need my full salary.
To your first question: YES. I have worked with a FG agency and although we started on the same salary, by the next year our salries were different based on appraisal results.
You have a case to push your employer to make you a permanent staff. But he can only make you a permanent staff of his organisation (Caranda) and not BOA. It is the BOA that can decide to absorb you.
Ordinarily you are not supposed to know the salary of your colleagues but we know it is a difficult secret to hide. However, I will advice you to please stop comparing yourself to those people because you work for different agencies. Their employer may be able to afford to pay them that much but your employer may not. Or your employer can and has decided to priorities profit over your welfare. In that case it is the BOA that will impress it on Caranda to increase your pay or you the employees will appeal to your company for a raise. Or you leave and look for another job.
The major problem is that the way contract staff system works in Nigeria is different from how it works in other parts of the world. In the real sense of it, you are an outsourced staff and not a contract staff to BOA. In my place of work, some contract staff earn more than 3 times what I earn. Some permanent staff that were employed after me started at a higher pay than I did. It was painful but I had to accept it and push for a raise at the appropriate time. Such is life bro, but I feel your pain but don't let it gravitate towards envy.
Career › Re: Employment Contract Fraud In Bank Of Agriculture BOA by dustydee:
From this letter, I can deduce that you are not an employee of BOA but of "Caranda Management Resources". If that is true then that possibly explains why your employment terms are different from those of permanent staff. If that is not the case, then you should seek redress through the NLC and from the industrial court because I do not think that employers are allowed to have unconfirmed staff for more than a certain period(not sure how long but you can check our labour laws which is available online).
Sometimes graduates take job offers due to desperation without weighing the consequences. They start complaining when they find out that their colleagues have a better deal than them even when their employing entities and or terms of employment are not the same.

duke79:
Generally, as contract staff we suppose to earn equal wages maybe not benefits but the wicked man at Caranda Management Resources has equally cut our wages deliberately to make us suffer while milking us of millions every month.
Which benefit stated in your offer is not being paid to you? Is your salary lower than what was stated in your offer letter? Are those that get paid millions employees of Caranda? and do you have the same offer?
These are some of the questions you need to answer to know if you have a legal case. So far you have not stated clearly where the contract fraud occurred.
