Anything not issued by the embassy is fake! Even if you do the application through an agent, the embassy will interact with you personally and send you your Visa and passport. If an agent is picking it on your behalf, please verify well!

i have been having sleepless nite cuz of my passport..... my passport will expire on 24th of Oct which is more than one month from today but the embassy told me to get another passport which i went to immigration office to apply.......after paying and doing the capturing they told me they wont give me the new passport until someday b4 that occt 24th. Now they are asking me to bring back the old passport so they can cancel it and issue me the new one but i already sent the old passport to the embassy with the collection printout as proof that i have paid for another one.

First of all, you should not have applied with a passport with less than 6 months validity on it, because it is clearly stated on their website.

Now you can't be issued a new passport without sighting the old one as per Nigerian Immigration rules. So you have to request for your passport from the embassy, stating why you are doing so and then proceed to get a new one that will be forwarded back to the Ireland embassy. They will not put a visa on your old passport that is about to expire.

I requested for mine during the lockdown and proceeded to get a new one issued and it was returned to me

Good morning everyone, I submitted my appeal in August but I didn’t include accommodation reservation in it, the one I booked during my first application doesn’t meet up to the Covid19 guideline, do you think I should send make a reservation now and mail them because I have read here that some people were asked but I have not been asked to.

If you can book an online reservation that won't charge you immediately, then do so and send. But you can also wait for them to reach out to you before booking! Best of luck!

The relationship between them can be easily proven. Her documents and filings with the Irish government will have details of her previous names which should tally with yours. All she needs is to submit proof of her former name and write a letter confirming you are her son.

I couldn't get the "Will of my grandpa" but I got the obituary news paper publication that has the names of the children in it. I will also include their death certificates in there to support it. Hope this works out?

That's great. Then add your parents birth certificates and yours and you'll be fine

Guys, I didn’t do any English Language Test but I get a mail from the Visa Officer for me to provide an evidence of English Test taken and my Birth Certificate. I was able to provide a proficiency in English Language Letter from my School and my birth certificate. Would that be sufficient?

It is quoted on their website that an English language test is very necessary. You should have seen this on the list of required documents.

Best thing is to try and do one quickly. Either Duolingo or PTE and then send it to them ASAP!

Please the embassy just mailed me to show the Birth certs showing the links between me and my sponsor. Please how can I show this link as both Fathers are late and we can not get their birth certs.

You can get some documents that bear the names of the deceased, maybe the death certificate and a few other things. Then when you add your own birth certificate, it should have a space for where your parents name are clearly stated which should correspond with the names on the other documents. This should suffice!

My 2 cents on this is to advise you to not proceed! The stories coming out of there are not too good. If you research well, Ireland and UK are really good options now.

For those that their visa were denied, am truly sorry about that but the truth is that I was once in that terrible mood when I was denied. I felt the world has collapsed on me but little did I know that it was the will of GOD.
What do I mean? My first application was 101% ok. I submitted everything even added extra documents to prove my transparency. My financial aspect was clearly stated. I had enough money left after i have paid my school fees, I presented my letter of employment, my pay slips, letter of recommendation from our HR..... Infact my statement of account I printed corresponded with my pay slips and inflow/outflow of money was 101% consistence. All the reasons for their denial were funny because they were part of the evidence I presented. Eg My financial status, date of birth (Note: I have never used another date of birth since my childhood, my WAEC result has my original date of birth crested on it, my birth certificate from NCC, my baptizmal card looking old you will clearly know that it was not forged in all they said I gave a fake date of birth... hahahaha. The ONLY thing I did not do was EDUBOND. So when I was apealing I used EDUBOND, immigration lawyer in Nigeria and presented all documents I submitted earlier according to the way it was stated in IRISH website.
Finally a decision was made and my visa was APPROVED.
My point is that GOD allowed the denial to take place so that I can apply for EDUBOND and doesn't have to be stranded. The exchange rate when I did the EDUBOND was N395 per 1 euro from black market against N552 per 1euro currently.
It has added extra 1million Naira.
Attimes God allows things happened for a purpose.
Just be optimistic and believe that God can do all things.

Since you plan on appealing, put your documents together and address the issues raised! Then also note to the VO that some of your documents were not returned and specify them. If possible, make copies of the missing documents and attach do that they can use the copies and return the originals to you once your visa is approved!

I doubt this is possible! For most countries, you will have to apply for a work Visa, most times from your resident country in other to have permission to work.

Please I will need clarity on my accommodation. I booked my hostel in June for check in on 6th of September and I just submitted my document 14th of August which means I can't meet up my hostel booking. Please advise if I should cancel the booking as it is free for now and will be charged after 3rd of September. Hope this won't affect my application? also, I have tried changing the booking dates but the dates are not available.

You can cancel or rebook for a later date and send it to the embassy. Another is to find out from your school of they are taking people in for the 14 day quarantine period as some have indicated they will!

Edubond is a third party payment. You can't use form A irrespective of the bank. Its a CBN directive. The payment is usually initiated at your local branch but would be approved after series of verification at the head office. I hope you know what you did though.

That's not true, I paid for my EDU BOND using FORM A at ECOBANK, IWO ROAD BRANCH IN IBADAN, 3 weeks ago.

Form A is an invisible transaction and is not a fee for the school. The staff at the branch might not be able to distinguish as they might not be used to doing it. Most of the banks will not do it as there is no receipt issued for you to use to pay unlike that issued for your school fees. You can go ahead and try but I doubt if it will be successful!

Is it possible to go ahead with the 3months statement and the six months GT statement or I just transfer the money to GT and face the stress of paying from GT?

You have to open a domicilary account to pay the edubond. You can't use Form A to do so as it is not a fee from your school! And when you are submitting, try and show the account where the money for the bond was debited and also print the dom account that the transfer was made from

Come to think of it that might actually work because the course am studying in Nigeria is different from the one i am admitted to for ireland.
I am also considering mentioning how the AASU strike has put my academics to a halt and even during this pandemic my school hassnt conducted any form of online teaching, so the future of my Academics is idefinite .And i also want to mention that people with international degrees have better job prospects in Nigeria.

Hello guys, i have asked this question before but nobody answered me, probably because i wassnt on pont.
After my secondary school i wanted to study abroad but due to my age, my Dad felt i was too young to adapt to a foreign system, i was advised to wait till i was 18 so in the mean time i got admitted to a uni in Nigeria to keep myself Academically fit till am 18.
So now i have been in uni since september last year and now i am 18.
My question is, will indicating that i am already undergoing a bachelors degree in Nigeria be a red flag or will the explanation i gave above be enough to convince the vo.

I doubt if it will be a red flag. However, you might have to begin anew or you contact your intended schools and do a transfer if you meet their requirements.

Ireland doesn't give dependants visa based on study Visa acceptance. Your dependants will have to apply independently without recourse to you. They can join you only after you have gotten an work permit or if they are able to surpass the visa requirements for another visa category

I once asked if I can transfer from my USD Dom account to a Danish Acc, and I was told it has to be the same domination.

But again sometimes the customer service doesn’t even know & they feed you wrongly.

When I paid some fees to Ireland, I used my USD accounts and it was done without stress. Just be sure to specify how much you want the sender to receive and ensure that all charges are taken from the source account to avoid any shortfall when it gets there!
