APC Govt. still breaking records just in less that 10 months in power:

(1) Took 6 months to form lame cabinet of ministers. No impact so far!

(2) Broke record of Naira-Dollar-Pounds exchange rate spiralling out of control

(3) Broke the record of electric Power dropping to "zero" MW in our lifetime

(4) Broke the record of any sitting President of Nigeria flying out of the country many time in such a few months

(5) Broke the record of the dreadest, scariest and wicked fuel scarcity in Nigeria with queues getting out of control.

(6) Broke the record in passing blames for ineptitude and unpreparedness, rather than accepting responsibility.

(7) Broke record of national budget being in doldrums even in Q2 of an economic year (not yet a working document).

(cool Please add more if you can remember...
PoliticsRe: Fuel Scarcity Paralyses Lagos, Other Major Cities -PUNCH by EagleNest(m): 12:54pm On Apr 05, 2016
I have never seen anything like this before since I was born...

How is it that we cannot provide fuel for ourselves even as God has blessed us abundantly with it.

Someone definitely need to be sacked or resign jejely.

APC Govt. have broken another big record after first breaking the "forex"record (N450 = 1£) and "zero MW" power supply records (happened last week).

Like Ostrich we have again buried our heads in sand of shame.

Europe is just across the border/sea.Plus...the lawless situation makes the crossing to Europe easier. The catch is you have to pay hefty money to secure a place on the boats...and thus many stay in Libya doing lots of odd jobs, most often illegally, until they can get enough cash to cross over. That's why.
Quite a reasonable explanation... cheesy

We need all these constructive debates to forge ahead as a nation...not docility and O yes in everything.

Nonybb:
If Buhari declares that Godwin Emefiele and Ibe Kachikwu are Igbos, he is not wrong. Someone must not be from your own village, speak the same brand of Igbo with you before you know he is Igbo. Ostensibly I know that Buhari is an error as a leader, but with his recent statement, he was able to prove that he understood Igbo tribe more than some Igbos. Hausa tribe had been able to merge themselves with the Fulanis, calling themselves Hausa-Fulanis and that is why they had been able to repeatedly dominate Nigeria politically. We must take advantage and cognizant of this tribal alliance the Northerners had been using as an advantage. When appointments are given to Anioma people of Delta state, Ikwere people of Rivers state, Igbanke people of Edo state, etc, let us collectively see it as Igbo man fully appointed. Let there be no contention amongst us, and lets get ride of that supremacist mentality of one state being more Igbo than the other. We are all Igbos as long as we can pick one or two similarities between within our Igbo spoken language.
Excellent! That's the way it should be. Spot on.

Geographical boundaries does not mean language or cultural boundaries.

Ohanaeze should propagate this message.

I get your point. and I agree.

the point I am trying to make is that if we are going to do something why not do it well to compete with others.

it's not as if automobile concept is new in the world, so why are we celebratinh this.

no use saying we will start small, this is not a start since the world is even moving beyond this. sometime this year, a flying car was to be launched.

if we mass produce this won't the whole world laugh at us?

it's just like producing a crude oil wick lamp and shouting innovation when the world is already trying to harness the solar energy.

with this kind of technology we will continue time crawl behind other countries of the world.

we produce enough mechanical engineers in this country yearly. this can't be the best this country can offer. I refuse to believe that.
I understand perfectly where you are going. The likes of Innoson is making that a reality in Nigeria even though it took the help of Govt for InnoSon to make sales because we still like it from Japan or America...already made!

What you saw and we are discussing is probably a loner who on his own fabricated a mobile device out of passion for creativity. Definitely there are processes in place before such thing can be admitted for use. I believe the Indian Rickshaw (keke) came through such process and experimented well in Nigeria. Let's encourage rather than discourage otherwise we all remain in the same spot.

If you are familiar with history of Nollywood, you will remember that before (Living in Bondage) movie debuted there was amateur movies shot with ordinary camera. We could have waited until such a time that we could compete with Hollywood or Bollywood. We need to develop what suits us even if it is pseudo or imperfect and from there ideas to launch it to greater height will come.

You see every country protects its own. No matter how good Toyota/Honda/Nissan is, America will always and still patronize Ford. It's their heritage and has to be protected.

very different. if they park keke and this one and they ask you to board one which one will you board?
And we still buy China products and why not Europe or American which are far superior?

The point is that until we start looking inwards to create our own then we will remain helpless consumers forever.

Take a look around your home...almost everything is made outside Nigeria. Not even bicycle,we dont produce. Haba!

Yanks101:
And what is the relevance of this junk?
I appreciate the creativity of the aba folks , but this is rubbish.
I can't blame them though. It is a problem of lack of national direction and the hopeless nation they have found themselves.
If Nigeria was a feasible country, the significant percentage of aba would have been converted to defence industries cum strategic zones producing relevant 21st century weapons coupled with research and devt in missiles studies and strategic defence programmes to secure Nigeria in this perilous times of ''every man for himself''.
Nigeria, if it were a feasible nation at all, would have long toed the path of china by buying relevant and scarce military and commercial technologies, sending them straight to aba for reverse engineering and mass replication and then applied in national development.
You simply forgot or never knew that Japanese car industries started in same manner... and today they are the best.
Even Indian Keke and Bajaj motorcycle are imported. We are just consumers...

Eight months ago she was a minister in Africa's most populous nation and the president of OPEC making her one of the world's most powerful women alive. Today she is begging the cold hands of death to spare her life from the grip of cancer.
Seven months ago he had won the biggest soccer league in the world as manager of one of the world's most talked about football teams. Today he is jobless and the subject of jokes in the sports world.
He was released after 1year to serve a 4year house arrest term for culpable homicide of his model South African girlfriend. Then suddenly, on December 3rd he was convicted of murder for the same action by an appeal court.
On a Saturday afternoon he was leading the polls to be governor of his Nigerian middle belt state. By 7pm the same day he was pronounced dead by the doctors
.
And so the stories of Diezani, Mourinho, Oscar and Audu remind us of what effect the passing of time can have on our lives and how unready life can make us look regardless of the insight and work invested into
securing tomorrow.

Dear privileged reader of this post, please remember nothing last as long as we may think, so RONU JUNE and live a life of HUMILITY and GRATITUDE.

And if he manages to win and return the N11B, then he will steal again to recover what he paid...

I think NYSC should be more of training in entrepreneurship than posting civil engineers to teach in primary schools (among others). If this, and the NDE is strengthened to supporting graduates in SMEs, in 10yrs time, i project, we will have more jobs than graduates.
