ConqueredWest:Tell us the truth, who is bankrolling you. Who stands to benefit from this chaos in Igboland. If the PDP, is it Atiku, Abaribe, Wike, Ihedioha, Anyim or Obi. Because I get goosebumps seeing how matured men keep playing politics with the havoc in their homeland. |
colorsofrainbow:Keep quayet clown. The SE should enjoy the ESN they pampered. Only them can quell the madness no one else will do it for them. That's was how they wanted to bring that stupidly to Rivers state until their cup full. IPOB should continue dealing with their supporters. |
Captain8:Keep quayet. Ijo nyanga in Opobo began recently when they formed the IYC/IINC to cajole Opobians into their nonsense politics. Funny enough there are no Ijo flag in Opobo. Na online and Port-Harcourt meeting the Ijo noise end. As soon as everyone go back home, they pick up their Igbo identity. Who no go like partake in the sharing of Ministry of Niger-Delta / Amnesty money? ![]() No human born of a woman can go to Opobo land and shout Opobo is Ijaw. Na community go gather panel beat am and then throw wey am inside Peterside creek. |
BKayy:Lol, I tell you. |
kmcutez:Igbo language was recorded as their language from antiquity. To be clear, modern Bonny Island has two sections. The hinterland and the mainland. The hinterland comprises the original founders of Bonny with Ndoki origin. These ones speak Igbo as first language and are the rulers of the Island. Grand Bonny is the seat of their King and traditional families. Their language is Ibani or Ubani a dialect of Igbo. In the mainland you have places like Finima where the NLNG is sited, Kalaibiama and a host of others. These ones are close to Kalabari as many migrated from Kalabari and others from Izonland. The main language spoken here is the Kalabari dialect known as Ibani. Surprising you might ask. Despite all these, everyone in Bonny Island both those in the mainland and those in the hinterland speak Igbo as a general language. But since the civil war, the Ibani Egere spoken in Finima is stylishly forced on the throats of the people of Bonny as well as those in Opobo by Ijaw landgrabbers. And this is where the issue arises from. |
JANK23H:Nothing like screenshot. That's simply an opinion by an educator who based his research on hearsay. It's similar to one giving his thoughts on a topic. I too can give my thoughts to a topic as he did and publish it online. Even Prof. Alagoa whom he used as his source lacked proof to his Bonny Ijaw claims. No wonder after he published his first history of Bonny originating from Ijaw, historians at that time picked holes with his book. Mostly GI Jones who rebuked him for his fabrications. Dude had to write a revision, but this time fabricated the old historical Ndoki origin as told by the Bonny ancestors themselves to the British. He came up with a reverse Kolokuma-Opokuma migration. Saying that some Ijaw brother left their home in Bayelsa and sailed to Ndoki to look for their brothers. That it was this party led by Okpara Ndoli that led the find of the Bonny Island. Another fraudulent version if you look at it. At least the early Europeans, and modern historians like Prof. Onwuka Dike, the erudite Englishman Prof. GI Jones and a host of others who gave a detailed history of Bonny interviewed witnesses in the communities becomes coming with conclusions to their findings. History goes deeper than give an opinion as the Prof. Jaja dude did. You must give proof, quote other literatures on the topic and interview valuable sources for it to be acceptable. |
Fejoku:Crap. Thank me for throwing this into the dustbin. Find something reasonable to do with your time rather than spilling arguments that you can't back up. Maybe you need to listen to Bkkay your friend and allow men deal with issues like this. |
Hmm. Good pix. But I’m afraid Buhari created this problem for himself. The triple opposition he has today from the SE and IPOB members was his own doing. Other politicians might learn from this in the future. That no matter the opposition you think you face with a particular region, as President you should try and embrace everyone. You get loved when you show love and get hate when you show hate. By simply appointing the SE into key offices in the military and executive positions, Buhari would have created more friends from himself than enemies. Those responsible for advising the President, advised him wrongly. A President of a nation should be welcomed with pomp, trumpets and red carpet, but that's not the case here. The emptiness of the streets is a bad development. |
Fahdiga:What even makes you Igbo spokesman? To lose your reasoning by accepting slavery status in a party that has consistently seen your race as used object. Use and dump and acceptable only when election draws near. |
Fahdiga:And hindrance to slavery in the PDP you mean? PDP Nairaland clown forming political analyst. Tell the world the achievements of PDP in your Abia state. If its anything to write home about then I’ll commend the party. Point the achievements of PDP in the SE? APC is an angel compared to PDP. |
Rochas might have blew his goodwill by littering Imo with China roads and buildings, and also by trying to install his Son-in-law as Governor, but one thing you can't take away from him, his political sagacity. Dude, despite the opposition and sponsored hate by the PDP/IPOB boo-boys, stood his ground by joining and sinking with the APC. Rochas convinced the SE political caucus in 2013 about the foolishness of remaining in a PDP while the APC needed allies during her formation. Had the SE played smart by following Rochas (APGA faction) and Onu’s (ANPP) to APC, Ndigbo would have regained her political glory and be at the pole position to grab the Presidency come 2023. But greed by some local champions who preferred slavery and crumbs in the PDP trounced that dream. Today Rochas has been vindicated. Many of those who abused and denigrated him for joining the APC are now fighting tooth and nail to become members of the party. Many are even secretly asking for easy passage to the party - the so-called Islamic and Alhaji People’s Congress. If this is not political shallowness on the part of the SE political class, then nothing else will fit this description. |
JANK23H:You’re right. I actually checked Google to read the article and Jones M Jaja was the author. And guess his reference on that particular topic, no other person than Prof. Alagoa himself. ![]() |
melodyogonna:I just checked Youtube. And yes the OP was right about the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LxZd217UHU |
JANK23H:Ok, can we see the name of the author? Because the last time I checked every pro-Ijo writer I’ve read always quote Alagoa as their source since other evidence might bring their research into disrepute. And Alagoa himself was once criticised by foremost historian G I Jones for his fraudulent attempt at historical falsification. So I’m not surprised. |
Captain8:Lol, we’ve heard these lines before. Oga you're catching at straws. You mean bonafide Brass sons are no longer Ijaws again. So the fake Ijo origin is for sale since you guys are ready to throw your acclaimed tribesmen under the bus for speaking their language. Make una repent from these lies and fraudulent life it wont take you guys anywhere. The Prof. Alagoa lying atitude has shown that it didn't start today in your bloodline. E don tay. These is why the origin of Ijo is always muddled in secrecy. If not that your language is alien to other southern languages, which gave you up, you would have claimed ancestry with the YEAI groups. No wonder we hardly see video documentaries in these so-called Ijo communities as they will go a long way in exposing the fraud ethnic group. If you ask a typical Izon nationalist why there are no video documentary of anthropological activities in Brass and other scam Ijo villages, they tell you no access to the area. Now access and modernity has come with just phone recordings and the Ijo fraudsters are running helter-skelter denying the video evidence. Ok if this one is fake as they were imported from Igboland as one Izon dude claimed here, show us the true language make we hear from the mouth of Brass indigene. Not pidgin oh, the native language as spoken by mothers to their children, youths to their friends and elders in village gatherings. |
JANK23H:By the fake Prof. Alagoa I guess. The only historian in Nigeria to based his history from thoughts in his head. ![]() |
Both the PDP and APC should go to hell. The PDP know that Nigerians are docile that's why they could spew this rubbish. The PDP 16 years of mortgaging the future of younger generation of Nigerians and the remaining 8 by the APC should be a thing of worry. Had they found themselves in Afghanistan, Saudi or China where splitting of necks is the reward for corruption, many of the thieves would have gone hiding. |
UK should allow these people be and stop these scaremongering. |
Good one |
naijaking1:Diversions by IPOB touts. I guess the DSS too are monitoring other Igbo groups on Facebook. |
EILTD:Lol, thanks. I guess Slayerforever opened a thread about what you posted. Pazienza and a few guys are pushing the idea as well. I suppose we need a Whatsapp group but if no one is coming up with it, a Facebook group for such purposes. Something similar to Igbo history group where the likes of Onowu Igbo is doing a great job. We can incorporate other Pan-Igbo group admins to send links so that their followers can join it. I suggest the group should be built with respect, and aim to unite Ndigbo in the SE/SS/NC. Slayerforever suggested an outreach group which is good. Who says we can't have multiple front? So long they non-partisan, non PDP/APC, non-IPOB/MASSOB/Ohaneze. Solely an Igbo nationalist group. |
EILTD:Like seriously. I've missed you bro. So what happened to your old moniker. |
EILTD:I buy your suggestions. So who is calling? |
SlayerForever:Supported. I don't mind donating for voluntary activities, both infrastructurally, culturally and educationally. We can use this as a launch pad to create independent Igbo facebook forum similar to Igbo history and Igbo rants where unbiased issues are discussed. Everyone of us can even go as far as creating facebook groups where Igbo issues are discussed like Onowu Igbo does in Igbo history group where he identify hidden Igbo speaking groups in Kogi and Benue. We need to educate our people and reconnect a lot of lost Igbo speaking communities to their roots and not follow the illiterate and thuggish part of IPOB or bribe focused part of Ohaneze. Dig in for evidence both ancient and modern as our weapon. |
Juliusmalema:Aboki clown nobody asked for your junk thoughts. So you came up with this gibberish all to sound smart. I once adviced you to change moniker as this one is to obvious but you refused. See how you are disgracing yourself publicly. Off course, we have a score to settle with Ijos. But that does not give you the right to involve into a family affair. Your concern should be on bandits and herdsmen ravaging your homes in Katsina and Zamfara. Last shot, the Taba monicker you use to reply yourself is too fake. Pick Alimi or Hassan next time. |
I guess the incident happened in May this year. Here's more links. The attackers are the community youths. What shocked me is that they are speaking Igbo. I was expecting to hear Ijo language. Not suprising though. I once came across names of personalities from Nembe/Brass extraction in a community development journal I read online. Pdf I guess. And to my greatest suprise the names I saw there made me have a rethink. Ijaw and Igbo names flying here and there. I was quite surprised and thought it was names given to them by their mothers. Especially the fabrications by Ijos that the Igbo links in Bayelsa were as a result of marriage by Ijaw men to Igbo women. But this video has exposed a lot of lies. https://twitter.com/ipannigeria/status/1397676438455738377?s=21 https://twitter.com/ipannigeria/status/1397678533103738882?s=21 Omo there are lot of lies about this Ijaw ethnic identity that if a deep fact finding mission is carried out in a lot of Bayelsa communities, the revelations that will be dugged will be mind blowing. |
SlayerForever:You are right dear. I just watched the links and got this screenshot.
|
SlayerForever:For real. I know Nembe/Brass have a few Igbo links if you consider their King's middle names and some facebook names. But are you sure that Brass is the location of that video? Maybe you should do more by showing more evidence. |
richmond500:Nah I guess you didn't read my post. She's not Epie. I know Epie people and have them as friends. She's Igbo the same with her village. But what surprises me is that she doesn't accept being called Igbo but Ijaw. |
richmond500:Maybe you should tell me what Nwaku means in Ijaw. cc Bishopmagic, Oyatz, Tonye and other Ijo nationalists. |
SlayerForever:I tell you. Here is one indigenous Igbo in Bayelsa. Funny enough she thinks she's Ijaw. There are a lot of them like that that I've interacted with here in Lagos. They speak Igbo and bear Igbo Surnames but because of their state, they don't want to call themselves Igbos. If you ask them why they speak Igbo and bear Igbo surname, they just tell you to mind your business. So I've learnt to mind my business ![]()
|
richmond500:They go by their village names. The don't accept that they are Igbos based on my interaction with the girl. I guess the Ijawnization policy of secessive Bayelsa state Government and made worst by the Governorship of the former Governor have made everyone both Ogbia, Epie, Isoko, Ekpeye and the Igbo tribes etc see themselves as Ijaws. The only way you could tell they are Igbos is when they speak and also their surnames. |

But here is the thing. If u like cry from now till tomorrow, once there's sit-at-home order by your tormentor IPOB,as long as you are in Biafraland, you personally MUST sit-at-home
