Even though your logic is right, PMI is not that expensive. I also used to think like you with an Ultrconservative approach to investing. Thank God for reading some books and speaking to some people which changed my outlook. For example, a property I acquired early COVID, I payed only 5% down for a 450k house. PMI is $1800/pa, avg 150 / month. House has appreciated in value and is now about $780k. You can do the math on hiw much equity I have accrued. I used the capital I would have used in down payment on one property to buy several. My average APR is 2.75, my only regret is having not started earlier. sonnie10: 3 Likes 1 Share |

I might be wrong, but I think you are taking this too personally. It's a rule of thumb that if you want to carpool, you should offer to chip in on the cost of gas. It's part of Oyibo culture. If I were in your shoes, I'd offer to pay her what you typically pay for bus ride. You should know that gas is expensive in the UK. You might be helping her today but she may save your life tomorrow. It's lways better to build bridges than to burn them. An eye for an eye and the whole world will go blind . Aspire to always be the bigger person. 7 Likes |

Chikes album has been on repeat on my Spotify endlessly for almost 1 year while driving and at home, same with many of my acquaintances. He's one of my favorite naija artist at the moment as he's one of the few naija artist that make real music. He earns in dollars and remember that $200k dollars is about 150 million nara now. Running has 52million YouTube views, Roju has 12million views and many other of his songs. So, It doesn't always have to be street. Hendrixky: 4 Likes |

Alaska90: That was a risky trade. When people make such trades they are glued to their screens monitoring the charts and trying to make the right call when to exit. Just 10 minutes delay can lose you loads of money so you don't want to tag people along in case if it doesn't go as planned. When going into such trades, there's no guarantee of making a profit, there's actually a high probability of losing money. I guarantee you that for every winner posted here, there might be about 5 people who lost money. Day trading is not for the faint hearted, more than 50 % lose money. So I believe it's best to post well researched calls for short term , medium and long term investments. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Guys keep an eye on (NYSE:SPAQ), They just merged with the EV maker FISKER. The merger was to act as conduit for FISKER to enter the stock market. They are already up about 20% in pre market trading. I believe they should have a decent rally. Please do your own due diligence. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/fisker-inc-to-list-on-nyse-through-merger-with-apollo-affiliated-spartan-energy-acquisition-corp-301092045.html

sirguvy: I feel your pains. Please don't beat yourself up too much. It happens to the best of us. Saw it @ $3.31 over the weekend. I put a limit order for $2.80 over the weekend. Just before market opened , it was at $4.10 I was waiting/hoping for a pull back. It never happened. I finally entered at $4.50. As I type this, it's trading at $5.80 . Even though I am up 30% , I'm a bit disappointed cos I didn't quite get the volume I'd have wanted. We just have to lick our wounds and be in the lookout for the next gem. You win some, you lose some., But nevertheless it's always painful. 3 Likes |

abuabdullah: I didn't see you caution the lady for calling Trove a scam. Yet you are cautioning me for calling out her mis-steps . I have no interest in Trove whatsoever , but staying silent and watching someone needlessly malign and impugn someone else or business is against what I stand for. I think we need to stop this culture of silence in the face of evil and injustice. Because in keeping silent we aid and abate bad behavior. My last take on this. 16 Likes |

DexterousOne: It's so simple. Also a volatile stock may get a stop and restart at every 15 minutes intervals which was what happened in her case. so your sell order on such stock might not be filled. Yet she ignored those facts and is blaming Trove with #BoycottTrove #TrovenaScam. @ yeryer toook the pains to explain what happened and even posted the screenshot below yet she ignored it. 7 Likes

ConcNiggress56: Typical Nigerian, never takes responsibility for their actions. From your comments, it's obvious you have limited knowledge about how the Stock Market works . I suggest you do more research and studying to better equip yourself for the realities of investing/ trading in stocks. I wonder why you find the need to blame someone despite having been given an obvious and clear explanation of why your trade didn't go through. Please stop trying to blackmail someone else's business. I doubt you have any idea what it takes to set up an online business. This is exactly the reason why online businesses hardly thrive in Nigeria. Vindictive and disgruntled customers trying to run you down just to get a pound of flesh for something that's entirely their fault. I suggest Mods put a disclaimer on this thread that Stock investment is not a get rich quick scheme and there is a real risk of losing money. 15 Likes 1 Share |

SweetCunt97: You don't really understand how bills rack up in the U.S. This is a peak into what a monthly expenses in a middle class home with 2 kids may look like. Mortgage = $2100 Cable = $120 WiFi = $70 Phone bill = $80 Water/ sewage = $88 Electricity = $115 Gas(cooking ) = $28 Home insurance= $120 Healthcare insurance = $260 Car Insurance(2 cars) = $145 Home owners Association Dues = $85 Student Loans = $700 Feeding, Groceries, Gas (Petrol), Tolls and Miscellaneous = $400 Total = $4,300 That is approximately $52k yearly, without including taxes. It may be lower or even higher depending on income, neighborhood, state or lifestyle. I hope this helps you understand better. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Sweetcho: This can be particularly painful. I experienced it recently, after shelling (dashing) out $3k to assist in buying a ride for bolt / Uber. Just a 1 line whatsapp msg saying, thank you I got the alert. No feedback about the car until about 4 months later when he needed money again. 21 Likes |

Dtribeless: Thank you for acknowledging that if African countries align with Adesina (which they seem to do) then he is fine. Just like Trump has the constitutional rights to fire the Inspectors General, the people in AfDB also has the right to vote who they want. It's not even up for a debate Steve Mnuchin can only rant to the press. When Trump was screaming "America First", he never knew there would be consequences. Other countries are beginning to occupy the vaccum he left in different global institutions with his "America First" policy and he is now just throwing Tantrum all over. Left Paris Climate accord. Threatening to leave WHO. Next he would threaten to leave AfDB. Nobody Is Indispensable. I would also advise you not to appear condescending to people on a faceless forum. You took a jab at me calling me an "overnight American Lawyer". What if I am one? Decorum and respect are virtues that great people tend to have. You might need to work on those... Cheers 11 Likes |

Dtribeless: POINTS OF CORRECTION 1. If the U.S is not happy with the outcome of the decision of the board, they should withdraw their funds if they want to. It's not going to be the end of the world. Too bad Nigeria has superior veto power compared to the USA in AfDb. 2. Everything is not investigated in the US. Same administration that found way to exonerate convicted criminals, Gen. Michael Flyn, Roger Stone etc just because they are Trump's cronies. The same Trump administration that fires any Inspector General that seek to investigate it?. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/05/15/politics/state-department-inspector-general-fired/index.html Their hypocrisy on this stinks to high heaven and their agenda won't pass. Even Libya + Ivory coast has enough vote to overrule US on this. Cry me a river Mnuchin. 22 Likes 3 Shares |

scoundrel: This is not creative writing. I followed this thread from the beginning. This poster even posted several pictures of her missing father and her sister. She posted phone numbers of 3 family members in case anyone finds her missing dad. She only took down the pics after the Dad was found. It's a bit unfair and insensitive to make such assumption when someone is going through some struggles. 7 Likes |

Ope88: Your father most likely has Alzheimer's Disease. It's a type of Dementia. A progressive disease that destroys memory and other important mental functions. If and when he is found, he needs to be institutionalized in Elderly home or kept in a place he can't wander off. I hate to tell you that this disease is not curable and will only get worse with time, so plan for this eventuality. I join you in praying for him to be found. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Pearl1996: I have read through about 6 pages but I couldn't find any decent answers given to you so far. What you have is most likely INFECTIOUS MONONUCLEOSIS also called KISSING DISEASE . It's caused by a virus called Epstein Barr Virus ((EBV). It's usually gotten from kissing. It's usually a self limiting infection and manifests with the symptoms you listed. ( sore throat, body pain, fever, night sweats. easy fatiguability, easy satiety , weight loss, generalized lymph node swelling). The skin rash is usually caused when you take a penicillin based drug like amoxicillin or ampicillin. This could also be associated with Cytomegalovirus infection (CMV). The disease is usually self limiting and can be prolonged in people with some forms of immunodeficiencies e.g Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVI). This disease can only be diagnosed in a specialized lab i.e Virology Labs via tests like PCR (polymerase chain reaction). More than 98% of labs in Nigeria cannot conduct these tests. Your best bet in getting a definitive diagnosis is seeing a hematologist or an infectious disease specialist in a Teaching hospital. A general practitioner might find it difficult to arrive at the correct diagnosis. While you a waiting to do that , you may benefit from taking antioxidants eg Vitamin C , Vitamin A and E. Good luck. 5 Likes |
Romance / Re: I Can't Get Over Her!!! I Need Help by easyflex: 7:20pm On Mar 31, 2019 |
Time heals all wounds. I was once in your shoes several years ago when I broke up with my girlfriend of 3 years. she was really really beautiful, in and out and we are so compatible that i was scared i would never find a girl i love, which is as beautiful and who would love me as much as she did. It took me up to 1 year to get over her. In that period, I dated several crazy ladies, but I have to keep dating to find someone that would make me happy. I only completely got over her after I met my wife who is more gorgeous, affable, loving and caring. I feel part of your problem is because you are having financial difficulties. My advice is , work harder, try to straighten out your finances, keep dating people no matter how empty and void you feel doing it. Also try to keep busy , go to church, parties, hang out with friends. whatever makes you feel better. Cut her out if you can, in my own case, I cut her off from social media but we were communicating over the phone once in a while. Like a brief 2- 3 minutes call in every 1 -2 months. Bottom line is that only time can heal your heart and you would struggle to love another until you get her out of your system. And if this comforts you, you feel the way you feel because you truly loved her and you are afraid you may never love anyone as beautiful as she is. But if you open up your heart, you can love again eventually. 3 Likes |

Spare a little bit of your time and read up on blockchain technology and how it is changing the world. It is almost applicable in all sectors of human endeavor. It's not all about bitcoin, it is about the blockchain. I kinda feel embarrassed when I see people speaking so authoritatively from a position of ignorance.
