Hello everyone.
Please is anyone in my shoes? My wife's credentials has been acknowledged by WES since last week Thursday and last time it was updated was on 29/04/2019.
See the screen shot.
I have called, emailed them, sent dm via Twitter and yet, it's still reading the same message.
If you are in this issue, what have you done please?

*MY TESTIMONY (14th April 2019)*
If you're reading this, know I have found favour before the Almighty God.
My journey started as far back as February 2016, then it was only an idea to do a masters in Canada. In September 2016, I started gathering documents needed to secure admission in university of Saskatchewan. To cut the long story short, I applied & wasn't shortlisted. In 2017, I got admission to another school, that's where the emotional saga started. I applied for my first study visa in June, was refused in August reason was insufficient funds.
Applied for second visa in October, this time I paid tuition ($7560), come December visa was refused.

DECISION TO TRAVEL In 2017, I was single, I have a job that pays me shit compared to what I bring to the table. Worst of all is there is no growth structure. You do not know when you are due for promotion or a bonus. Anyway, sometime in April of 2017, my elder brother came up with plans to travel to Canada. He was discussing it with me but truthfully I wasn’t understanding, my heard was just turnioniown. A senior Registrar, earning above 400k wants to leave Nigeria? Anyway, in June, he and his wife started the journey by visiting Enugu to write the IELTS, well the score wasn’t what he needed apparently. That night, he decided to register for the exam again for July, well I registered too out of curiosity.
IELTS July came, I only remembered 2days to the exam and logged into my British council account and practiced with the free 30hr materials. Result came out. LRWS – 7.5,8.0,7.5,7.5. we both needed to re-write. August 19th 2017 we wrote the exam, immediately after the exam, I flew to Lagos to see my GF and I proposed to her. Result came out, LRWS – 8.5/9.0/8.0/8.0 He too got same. We had gotten the required score.
Thank you everyone on the Naija November AOR Group. Incredible people. I wish everyone good luck. No man left behind. It has ended in praise!!! Nwanne I concur. Oluwa bu onye dying minutes. It ended in praise for you and so shall it end in praise for me and others here. Now go enjoy your new country agu nna ya. |

Please i have a question.
How does IRCC know the right amount I have in my account if not from the SOA I show them? Because having worked in a bank, I know banks have customer confidentiality. They are never going to reveal if Mr. A has account with them let alone what's in Mr. A's account.
So how do they do it?
I need to prove to someone that's it's not obtainable unless the person is declared WANTED or due to an ACT OF FRAUD.
My question looks stupid but if you know, please clear us because I am sure some of us want to ask but don't know how to. |

The issue is that am planning to get married to my girl, and she is in her final year in university, when I calculated my score it fell to 449 as against 471 in case I intend to apply as a single person. Do I apply as single so that when I get there I come and pick her or is there any way around it? I am open to ideas.... Please help me. |

I feel like I have gotten PPR already and I never even write my test. Please allow me to celebrate about our little achievement. So last two weeks Sunday, I and wify left for Lagos to start weac processing and her transcript. We met one elderly woman opposite the weac gate and we paid the fees she told us even though she was acting so unconcerned and hurry-up-and-pay-kinda-attitude. We spent about 28k or so because wify used GCE. We Sha left and concluded all the weac issues. We were told it will take 3 weeks for weac to process it. We proceeded to her school which was close. We met a nice and God sent woman in the transcript department of YABATECH and she helped us. She told us it will take 3 weeks to prepare the transcript before wify did different programs in ND and HND. I tipped her though. Na she dey call for updates about my wify's certificate and transcript. Now you are wondering why I wrote this even though I have not written my ielts exam Abi? I read a post here about the delay we might experience due to the upcoming WEAC exam and it could delay the process. I was tired and had to make sure we finish our part and live the rest to God. We did a calculation that by end of June we will get ITA. We prayed to God to touch waec and YABATECH to send the documents on time. Guess what? We received our waec tracking number last night and got the YABATECH tracking number this morning as we used UPS. We paid N13,500. So, we hope that if it gets to WES by this weekend, we start counting 35 working days from next week. Our June target is still on track. Our test is next month and God's willing, we are going to WRITE IT ONCE. YES, ONCE!!! BELIEVE, WORK HARD AND GOD WILL DO THE REST. Since I found out about Express Entry, This thread has become my second bae and ielts materials my third bae. Wify is the PA inbtw. I sleep and dream of life in Canada. We are newly married and we have decided to chill with baby making till we get to Canada. I am one of those that has made inquiries about accommodation. No day we don't discuss about life in Canada. Point is, which ever level you are, celebrate it. It's not easy. I believe in the end, we will all be alright. Start your process if you have not. Get all the necessary documents ready. @IFEOMA77 has been of great help. We appreciate you. Our ielts Prof Wasiu, we appreciate you too. To all IELTS AND ECA CLINCHERS, good news will be your portion, to ALL OUR PPR CLINCHERS, GOD HAS DONE IT. Now go and prosper in your new land. Don't listen to any negative vibes. Thanks to everyone who has answered any of my silly questions. Daalunu! |

I am very sorry I am not good writer. I wish I could call someone up and tell him/her the story of my journey and have them write it cos I really really enjoy reading PPR stories My application was basically simple and straight forward. For IELTS St Joseph of Cupertino's prayer and novena came through. Proof of Employment came with ease, employment letter, promotion letter, pay slips, and letter from HR in CIC format. Proof of Sibling was Marriage certificate showing same parents, and attestation for both of us. ( I got attestation by proxy for my sibling. (I d carry am go give am for canada) Proof of Fund was a clear act of God. Used notarized gift deed. I Left the lump sum in my account no treasury bills or fixed deposit. Submitted 6 months statement with a letter from the bank that was almost in CiC format. My advice, please just start the process and see how u will receive wisdom on how to get funds. Proof of marriage; Did my court marriage after ITA. submitted my church wedding certificate, wedding pictures, and court marriage cert. No LOE I read all the pages of this thread, in fact I studied it. And it was worth it. The wealth of knowledge on this forum is beyond measure. Thanks to all who have researched and used their 'data' to put info on the thread. Special thanks to Smlive, and vickyehi, they assisted me with info when I needed it. The way we have supported each other on this journey makes me know there's hope for Nigeria, I mean 'we good people' and 'great nation' later See y'all in Canada! |

Hello people,
I have good news to share.
In January 2019, the Canadian government launched a new program for foreign immigrants. It's Called RURAL AND NORTHERN IMMIGRATION PILOT. It consists of 5 provinces and 3 territories of Canada. Alberta, Manitoba Saks etc. I can't remember the rest of the province.
List of qualified provinces and territories will be announced April 29th 2019 and applications will commence. We don't know yet if it will be as a PRODUCTION or government will issue 5 years work permit and thereafter, PR. You can read more on wwe.canada.ca or Google Rural and northern immigration pilot.
Speculations are, it will not be as cumbersome as EE as government wants immigrants to embrace the opportunity and fill the gaps in the northern and rural areas of the 5 provinces and 3 territories.
You'd be wondering, am I going to Canada to stay in their village? Before you subject yourself to such thinking, ask yourself, does Lagos have 24/7 electricity? The Canadian governments doesn't think like ours. They gave requirements for every participating provinces and territories.
So we pray it will be on PR basis. And it is, haleluya!

I know, I know, I should have announced PPR but when I got the golden mail, I wasn't as excited as I thought I would be because of the 'long wait'. But I am thankful and grateful that it is ending in praise!!!
Novel alert, please skip and then skip some more to the timeline:
My Canadian journey started way back in 2011 when Canada application was still via the paper route. I wanted to relocate but my then fiancée wasn't interested and my father wasn't going to finance my Canadian dream if my fiancée wasn't on board with the relocation plan. I was heartbroken but I guess my dad wanted me to get married less I become an old maid **insert eye roll here** So while Canadian dream kaput, The then fiancee wanted us to both register for a Masters degree. We both did, wrote the exams, I passed, he failed. I started the Masters programme, started planning the wedding and I opted out of the whole thing two months before the wedding.... This will be a sequel.. Moving on...
While running the Masters, I got married, loving my career, got pregnant and I saw the inadequacy of the Nigerian health care system. My 7 weeks old baby was almost aborted at L****n hospital because I was spotting and the doctor concluded it was a miscarriage without a scan. Using Just a speculum, he said he saw the baby hence evacuation straight! We had paid for the evacuation, waiting for an available operating room when my husband randomly asked if they did a scan. I said No, he asked why, we were told the hospital doesn't do scans on that particular day, my husband was livid. He insisted we had to do a scan before the surgery and the hospital gave us a scan centre like 35 minutes drive away. Hubby didn't mind, I was bundled into the car with drips and all to go do a scan and lo and behold, It was the baby's heart beat.. It was just a threatened abortion.. We went back to the hospital and give them the results and strangely enough none of the doctors were available, even the medical director that told me to accept God's plan that my baby was dead! So give us our money back, na lie o, we had to wait for weeks to get a refund! My people shine your eyes o!
So I though L*****n was rubbish, moved to R********n, I loved the service until delivery when everything started turningoninown and it led to emergency CS. I had to wait for like an hour to get epidural while they look for a particular size of needle to give me epidural meanwhile after 24 hours of Labor, baby's heart beat was already failing.. My people, my eyes have seen!!!! Lol!
After all these, I told hubby we needed to leave, that was 2012 but he believed in the dream that was Nigeria. Our friends, colleagues and neighbors were leaving but still, he believed. 4 years later to second baby, I told him I am not going through all the Nigerian hospital drama again, he agreed and we decided to go have the baby in the US. I started my research and stumbled on Nairaland. The givingbirthintheusa thread. By the way, I was TLKMama on that thread. Before then US wasn't even a country I was interested in as I was a 'UK Person'. US was too far and I hate flying. Siblings and friends were all in the UK but I wanted citizenship if we were going to spend all that money, Nairaland came through... I got back and decided I have had it with Naija. But then promotions came for hubby and I, things got better and we fell for it so the idea to relocate was shelved again.
January 2018, I just got tired of Nigeria, everything was still going on well but I saw the handwriting on the wall. Before things would get better, it's likely to get much worse and I don't want to be around to witness that. I discussed with hubby and we decided the kids and I go while he will be visiting and maintain his PR as his businesses are doing well here.
WES Hubby and I started in March. His UI, mine Unilag and God used people for us. Divine favor from transcript to verification. I used statement of result with Wes and by June we were done.
IELTS Eh, yours truly was principal applicant. First result was village people things LRSW was 8,8,8,6 in May. EOR with BC, writing was upgraded to 7 after 2-3weeks. Registered for another IELTS before the result of the first EOR was due. Second IELTS was 9, 9, 8, 6.5. with BC in June. Another EOR upgraded my writing to 7. Hubby gave me max points for IELTS and degree. For speaking, I practiced questions from Liz ielts, writing was Jay the first time, LIZ paid classes the second time. Reading, didn't practice at all. Listening, IELTS page on YouTube and minieilts.com
I didn't wait for the 2nd EOR as I wanted to enter the pool before the 2nd July 2018 draw so used the first IELTS result. Entered the pool July 23rd and got ITA July 24th.
Proof of funds Proof of funds was in my name and my account. Used naira and USD. Banks didn't give me the letters in teh CIC format so I attached 6 months statements
Reference letters I used one reference letters for 2 job roles that have the same NOC from previous employment as I didn't want my current colleagues to know I am relocating. Thank you for this @newmum0615
OTHERS Medicals was straightforward, we used Q-Life. Inspector Moshood for PC.
I have to mention @newmum0615, she is the real MVP. God bless you immensely. She helped with NOC because I picked the wrong one, tweaked every and without knowing me from Adam. I don't know how she does it but May Grace and Favor speak for you and yours. May your seeds be great and might forever... You are one in a billion.
TIMELINE ITA: July 24th, 2018 AOR: 18th August, 2018 BIO: 24th September, 2018 MEP: 24th September, 2018 PPR: 18th March, 2019 SUBMITTED PASSPORTS AT VFS: 20th March, 2019 COPR: 8th April, 2019, in time for my birthday on the 12th.
The wait was horrible, I would like to say I waited with Grace but that would be a lie. There was a lot of tantrums and God whys! I didn't experience any delay during the verification/IELTS process but I learnt patience after AOR. My profile didn't change till the 18th of March when I woke up to the PPR Mail. then I logged into my account and saw: We are processing your background.. I looked at my phone, called hubby and went back to bed. I woke up and saw that some other people got PPR mail that same day but the worry and anxiety have robbed me of excitement. But now, ayam excited!
For two major life projects that I have done in my life, Nairaland has helped immensely, I hope Seun Osewa is immensely proud of what he has achieved and the fact that this forum hasn't been sold yet is a testimony to the fact that the guy is a real MVP, God bless you lots..
To anyone and everyone on this journey, I wish you God's speed, Favor, Grace and Patience...

Hello Bro, I am not a Pro but I'd chip in my little advise. Your babe might not be interested right now but soon she will be{when she see the progress you have made} She is your wife to be. Do you intend to get PPR and leave her behind in UAE ? 1. Apply as a couple since you are getting married in May. Help her assess her documents and while you are preparing for your Ielts, carry her along. Obviously you'd be the Principal applicant, so if she manages to score 6666 and you score 8777 and has 2 or more certificates, you are good to go. 2. No idea sir. 3. No. She might not even asses her academic qualifications if you have 2 or more certificates and atleast 3 years work experience {please don't be above 31 Abi 32 } 4. It's possible but it's usually a long shot. I hope my input helps. packaging: Hello Senior Members,
Kindly feel free to comment on this post as it will go a longer way clearing my doubts.
Presently I’m a single guy and a resident in United Arab Emirate and I'll be getting married next month (May) God’s willing.
I’ve discussed with my fiancee who’s also a resident here in UAE but she doesn’t seem interested(her current job is time consuming) in the program. However, I’m 100% interested and I’ve started with the process of ECA and working towards IELTS since they’re independent of each other. I work in the UAE as a Real Estate Broker and I’ve checked in the NOC code 66232.
My questions are: 1. Can I be married and still apply single(without spouse)? 2. She finished from Fed. Poly Auchi, does anyone know the procedure for transcripts? 3. As the principal applicant, will much emphasis be placed on her IELTS performance? 4. If I continue the process alone and it ends positive, what are the chances of bringing her over?
I'll appreciate anyone’s contributions regarding my questions please. Thanks |

I think I just made a HUGE mistake. I don't know if I can change but here is the mistake.
Instead of choosing Yaba college of technology, I chose Federal Science and Technical College Yaba. I was sure I chose YABATECH.
I just found out while I was trying to pay. I am yet to pay but all I did today in school and waec office, I used the WES reference. I ALREADY called the Transcript person to hold on, that there is a mistake in the reference number.
Can I cancel this WES application, open another one with my second email and do the right thing?
Please i need your suggestions. I am ready to return to waec office tomorrow to change the envelope and forms that has the WES reference number I generated today. |

Please who has paid WES with Western union? I have been given 72 hours to make payment with a reference number but money was changes to $200.66 US instead of 256.61CAD. I just calculated 200.66USD with N360 and it's given me about 72k plus. Before I decided to pay with Western union, I tried paying with my Gtbank master card it it didn't go through. I used the correct address and from the site, it's only Credit card you'd see. No debit card option. I had to use Western union so I can generate the WES REFERENCE NUMBER I cannot even cancel the western union part and card is not paying, what should I do please? Inform? Eh? After they have waited for months separately to get PPR? IRCC will never find out in ANYWAY Na. So what exactly will they be misinterpreting? joo2018: You have to inform. Not to inform is misrepresentation.
After you inform, your COPRs will be withdrawn and the visas cancelled. Both your applications will be opened again and you will be added to each others' applications. You will then be issued new visas and a new COPR. At least that is what happened to someone from either the part 3 or 4 thread.
Modified. Here is the link. Their experience is not an exact match. One had a COPR, the spouse's application was still being processed. However, I think a similar process may apply. The whole process took like 2 weeks.

Meanwhile, congratulations I will suggest you tell no one. You two can actually travel same day, together but when presenting documents, present separately. Move into Canada. Settle down and do a court wedding there in Canada and live happily. As for family members, your man can pay bride price and even do small trad/engagement as the case maybe. Wait, I am blabbing right? Onetwo77: Hi,
My now fiance and I applied separately and we both have our COPR, but yet to land in Canada. We are now considering getting married before we land in Canada. It's just a small wedding. If we do proceed with the wedding, do we need to inform IRCC? How would this affect our COPR? We are trying to avoid having to come back for the wedding lol. I was actually arguing this with someone. The lies we tell always come back to haunt us. That agent is wicked. Just pray your application scale through. Ifeoma77: Trust me when I say you are not going to be telling them anything new, they knew that you were lying about the job way back then and that is probably why you didn't get your study Visa. There must be something in the water they serve at these 'agencies', that blocks logical thinking. How else did you plan to explain that you were a lecturer when your highest qualification was ND. Even if the school is family owned. Anyway, way forward; 1. fill all EE/e-Apr forms correctly. 2. Explain the truth in LOE and mention that you were misguided by a fraudulent agent. 3. Pray
Additional steps; 4. Find that agent and give him some slaps 5. Give yourself some too |

DECISION TO TRAVEL:
In August 2017, while at work I was working on my unit’s system when a colleague pleaded to quickly use the computer. I shifted my chair and by the time I would look on the screen, I saw that it was the Nairaland Express Entry Thread. Immediately, I teased her and asked if she was processing the Canada immigration, she replied in the affirmative. Without asking further, she voluntarily enlightened me on the benefits of the scheme. She gave me a summary of all I needed to proceed and also promised to send me IELTS materials which she did. Few days later, she showed me her Passport Request Letter. When I saw that, I made up my mind to begin the process. I visited the thread (then Part 2) and I asked 1 or 2 questions, I was referred to the almighty page 1.I was able to gather adequate information to get started. I told my hubby about the process but he showed no interest. He said the scheme was rigorous considering that he had attempted it before. I assured him that all would be well; at least there was no harm in trying. Thankfully, it has turned to us for a testimony (Luke 21:13)
ECA (WES) My credential evaluation took 6 months (September 2017-March 2018), all thanks to NASU strike. I evaluated my highest qualification (Master’s Degree) only.
IELTS 1st : February 1st 2018 (BC) LRWS -7777 2nd : April 21st 2018 (BC) LRWS 86.56.57.5(Remark came back unchanged) 3rd : May 12th 2018 (MOD) LRWS 7.57.577(Only those who wrote IELTS exam on that day can relate) 4th : September 29th 2018(MOD) LRWS 7.5877 5th : November 1st 2018 (MOD) LRWS: 8.57.577.5
Hmmm! IELTS humbled me in mighty way (sighs) as seen from the above results. Considering that I studied English, I underrated the examination. I was running a professional programme concurrently hence; I devoted my attention to the programme. After the 3rd Attempt, I felt embarrassed with my recurrent ‘failures’, therefore; I decided to learn the exam tricks. For me, using the materials by the Test Provider (MOD) was the simple trick I needed to ace the examination. I subscribed to the 30-day Master’s IELTS course and I followed the principles taught to the letter. During my 4th attempt, I concentrated so much on Reading and I had 8 but had 7.5 in Listening. My hubby encouraged me to register immediately for another one which luckily became my final attempt. By that time, I focused only on Listening which became pretty easy for me few days before the examination. The knowledge of Reading was still fresh in my memory.
Listening: In all my attempts I didn’t underestimate the power of Cambridge IELTS Book 1-13;I did some online tests via ieltsonlinetests.com; I studied the MOD IELTS Masters course and I did the 3 tough practice tests at the end.
Reading: I solved few Academic Reading Tests; did several General Training Tests from Cambridge Books; and also on ieltsonlinetests.com; the MOD 30 Day Master’s course was highly helpful− the tricks I learnt enabled me finish my test within 35 minutes during my 4th attempt. Although my last Reading attempt was tougher.
Speaking: In all my attempts I watched YouTube videos (IELTS JAY,Oxford English and others) and also wrote down ideas based on the cue cards posted on IELTS Liz’ website and shared on different IELTS groups. In all my tries, my task 2 topics were extracted from the cue cards.
Writing: Naturally, I write well ; however, the quest to score above 7 in my 4th attempt made me conduct an in depth research which got me totally confused. I wrote few letters and essays and forwarded to @glitteringstar2 for review. She proofread them and advised that I focused on other grey areas (Listening especially) as my writing was suitable to earn me the desired score. I also scanned through MOD materials on Writing. One major trick I learnt was to edit my write-up simultaneously while writing. This really helped me as I had no time to read through my Task 2 during my 5th attempt yet I was confident that the errors would be minimal. Lest I forget, while writing, I utilised very uncommon linkers and binders. In lieu of ‘firstly’, I used ‘first and foremost’, ‘to begin with’; instead of ‘finally’ I adopted ‘to conclude’ and so on. I used lots of parallel structures and I avoided clichés as much as possible, and I was very careful with my punctuations (all these I learnt in school) ( )
Advice: IELTS is not difficult but it is a trick test. It requires due diligence and care to study all that the test entails. For the first timers, do not rush to register, learn the examination strategies and tricks before enrolling− 75k (BC) or 68k (MOD) is no small money.
MEDICALS: I could not secure a closer date at Qlife; hence; we resorted to using IOM on November 30th. I got their email address from the thread; mailed them and got the date we preferred. We got to IOM around 6am and we were the first family to be attended to. The Physician that attended to us was very courteous. He chatted with my hubby for about 30 minutes before we left the hospital.
PCC: After medicals, we headed straight to Alagbon for PCC. We intended using ASP Moshood but luckily we met someone whom we knew. He referred us to one Mr Ibrahim (who collected 7k (3.5k each for hubby and I).
POF: My hubby transferred the POF in bits into our joint savings account which we opened in 2015. We invested the funds in 4 Treasury Bills and we ensured that none would mature after our medical expiry date. One of our treasury bills mature in January and we rolled over immediately. I asked on the thread if there was need to inform CIC; @joo2018 responded promptly that there was no need to raise a CSE.
PLACE HOLDERS (PRINCIPAL APPLICANT)
Marriage Certificate: I uploaded my Marriage Certificate only
Passports/Travel Documents : My Nigerian International Passport
Upfront Medicals(2 pages): I uploaded the print out given to me at IOM
Police Character Certificate (PCC): I merged the PCC and the long forms(3 pages altogether)
Education (4 pages): The documents were merged as follow: ECA,Master’s Degree Certificate, IELTS Test Report Form,1st Degree Certificate(I didn’t evaluate it but was advised to include it)
Legal Name Change Doc(2 pages): I merged my newspaper change of name publication and my marriage certificate.I didn’t swear any affidavit.
Proof of Means of Financial Support (6 pages) : My POF was arranged as follow: 1. Letter of Consent from my hubby 2. Bank Letter in CIC Format 3. The Four Treasury Bills Certificates according to the dates of investments
Digital Photo: I uploaded the required passport specification
Employment Records (11 Pages): The documents were merged in the following order: 1. Letter of Introduction 2. Confirmation of Appointment 3. Promotion Letter 4. Revised Emolument Page 5. Staff Identity Card 6. Six Months Payslips(June-November 2018)
Client Information Placeholder(12 pages): I merged the following documents : 1. General Letter of Explanation(LOE) 2: It contained every detail I needed to clarify in my application 2. My Schedule A(5 Pages- I had an extra sheet( ) 3. Hubby’s Schedule A(4 pages) 4. USA Visa Refusal Letter (White Paper)
Concerns: There was a funny gender error on my reference letter , I complained to my HR but was told it was insignificant and would not render the letter invalid. Also, my daughter's birth certificate had more names than necessary as against her International Passport hence I went back to NPC to get a new one. If I had researched properly, a simple LOE would have saved me that extra 3.5k the officials collected. I specially want to appreciate all those who have directly or indirectly helped me in the course of the (COPR) journey. @Glitteringstar (You’re wonderful and I owe you a treat ); @Bimsebony ( ) and @Hykin - You are both amazing souls, this story is incomplete without mentioning you. These beautiful people are now my ‘family’. I owe them so much gratitude. @Hykin , I will celebrate your PPR soon.
To @Joo2018, @Elfmannisback now @Ontarioissauga, @McStan18 ,@Newmum0615,@Cochtrane, @MummyJaygirls (the first person I Pmed) , @Kontagious, @iamdatguy, @Happytbaby, @Hephgirl @Datechman, @RamJ @ebonyNaija, @DadR, @ifeoma77 , @Tojued …. I appreciate you all. To everyone I couldn’t mention their monikers, I apologise. I appreciate everyone on the thread. God bless you all.
Above all, the entire journey is expensive, yet achievable. Do not give up , you can achieve it. NB: ALL ERRORS ARE MINE−THANK YOU
TO GOD BE THE GLORY, NOW AND FOREVER MORE AMEN |

Awwww. Congratulations Supergirl1. May CannyLand favour you two. Supergirl1: People of God, e don land at last oooo
Where I go start from?
Timeline: Decision to travel: August 2017 Ielts: December 2, 2018.
My babe got better IELTS scores, so we decided she should be the PA. Getting her ECA done was another hurdle on its own. Finally, it was ready and into the pool we went.
ITA: July 25, 2018. AOR: August 18, 2018. MEP/BIL: September 18, 2018. ADR(RPRF): September 26, 2018.
The excitement no be here. We believed we were among the few who get PPR in less than 2 months. We no know say our village people don Dey wear their trainers.
We checked profile tire. If there was a limit to the number of times one could log in to their profiles, dem for don lock us out of the Cic website.
Village people just Dey sip palmy, and watch DStv from the white cloth on Pete Edochie’s wall.
Silence.......
We called, raised CSE, ordered gcms. Everything looked okay, so we couldn’t understand the reason for the delay. Sometimes we got nice agents and other times we got agents that didn’t want to be disturbed. The last avant we spoke to told us to call back by June 2019.
My babe said: “bobo yen ma blow ni.”
So we decided to chill. As it looked like nothing we did would speed up our processing. We also consoled ourselves with the knowledge that we were not alone in this predicament.
Ip2: March 18, 2019.
The update brought mixed feelings. We felt it was close, but didn’t want to waste excitement again like we did in September. Tension was high and almost caused small Cold War between us sef.
Finally, this bright sunny ☀️ morning, we woke up to see PPR sitting pretty in our mail. Looking like a beauty queen.
And the fireworks went off....... |
