PoliticsRe: Soldiers Missing As Insurgents Overwhelm Borno Army Installations by eeetuk(m): 10:35pm On Jan 16, 2021
Boko haran success is a direct result of the federal government of Nigeria stealing oil Money from the South- South states.

When the federal government of Nigeria leaves the control of oil Money to South/South states, only then will Boko haran be defeated.

Cheating oil producing states in Nigeria has turned out to be a curse to Nigeria and I love seeing and hearing that Nigerian military is losing.
PoliticsRe: Abubakar Malami: Criticise Buhari Again And Be Crucified - Islamic Cleric by eeetuk(m): 10:26pm On Jan 15, 2021
“A Sokoto-based Islamic cleric, Abubakar Malami, has warned the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Matthew Kukah, to desist from challenging the Nigerian government or risk being crucified.”

Abukakar Malami threaten statement to Bishop Kukah should be condemned by President Buhari and all peace-loving people in Nigeria and around the world for many reasons.

First, Bishop Matthew kukah Christmas speech exposed all the evil things that have come to define Buhari presidency. For example, Bishop Kukah said this:

“It is curious that President Buhari’s partisanship and commitment to reinforcing the foundations of northern hegemony have had the opposite consequences. For a long time, beyond the pall of politics, very prominent northerners with a conscience have raised the red flag, pointing out the consequences of President Buhari’s nepotism on national cohesion and trust. With time, as hunger, poverty, insecurity engulfed the north, the President’s own supporters began to despair and lament about the state of their collective degradation. Was this not supposed to be their song? The north that the President sought to privilege has become a cauldron of pain and a valley of dry bones. Today, the north itself is crying the most and why not? No one has suffered as much as they have and continue to. The helplessness is palpable and the logic is incomprehensible”

How many of you have been following President Buhari management of Nigeria since taking office in 2015? Is the above claimed by Bishop Kukah not described the way Buharis has been running Nigeria?

Every time, a job opens for hire in Buhari administration, he hired a northern Nigerian Muslim to fill the vacancy. When Kemi Adeosun resigned in 2018 as finance minister, Buhari replaced her with Zainab Ahmed—a Northerner. When former Chief justice of Nigeria, Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen resigned in 2019, Buhari replaced him with a northern Nigerian Muslim named, Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad. And the list continues------.

I thought the drive to replace Southerners with Northern Muslims by President Buhari is supposed to bring peace and prosperity to Northern Nigerian Muslims.
But is it ?
No, it is not happening.
When you look at what is going on in Northern Nigeria, all you see is one violence after the other. Lives are lost every day. Kidnapping of school children [boys and girls] has become custom in the Northern Nigeria. People are still living in ancient homes—houses used in western countries to store animals.

Bishop Kukah is the only person in Nigeria who has figured out who President Buharis is and has come out to expose the evil of Islamism.

Second, and here is one more observation about President Buhari management of Nigeria by Bishop Kukah:
“One Northern Imam after the other have posted videos of lamentation on the social media asking why, with all the cards of power in the hands of northern Muslims, everything is bursting in the seams. How come our region has become a cesspool of blood and death? Why did President Buhari hand over a majority of the plum jobs to Northern Muslims? Was it for efficacy and efficiency? What was the logic? President Buhari must pause and turn around because his policy of nepotism has been rejected by the gods.”

Once again, is the above claimed by Bishop Kukah a lie? It goes to show that supporters of President Buhari cannot stand the truth about who President is.

So, I write to call on all Nigerians to send a letter to President Buhari to please step down. If President Buhari continues to stay on as the president of Nigeria, Nigeria will become countries like Somalia, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, and many more. That to me is a nightmare.

PoliticsRe: Buhari, Osinbajo, Others Lay Wreaths To Mark Armed Forces Remembrance Day by eeetuk(m): 4:36pm On Jan 15, 2021
President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and other top government officials on Friday laid wreaths at the National Arcade, Abuja as part of activities to mark this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day is laughable .

Our commander in-chief is paying respect to Armed Forces that cannot kill a fly. As president Buhari and his vice president are performing this constitutional function, Boko Haram terriost group is killing Nigerians in hundreds every day.

And according BBC news and other western media report, since president Buhari assumed power in 2015, over 25,000 Nigerians have been killed and another three millions driven away from their homes. In addition, under Buhari's presidency, Boko Haram has expanded its territory and successfully hitting their targets 99%.

So, beyond the constitutional obligation for president Buhari to celebrate armed forces remembrance day, what is Buhari most proud of Nigerian military today?

The inquiry minds want to know.
PoliticsRe: Governor Umahi Climbs Trees As He Inspects Projects In Ebonyi (Photos) by eeetuk(m): 7:35pm On Jan 13, 2021
Gov. Umahi Dares Akaeze Bridge, Seen Climbing Trees as he Inspects Projects is not a bad thing, but his dress code is terrible.

Gov. Umahi dresses like a bum. And in fact, Gov. Umahi poor dress code made it difficult for me to identify him from the crowd.

Governor Umahi should know that his image represents the state he governs, inside and outside Nigeria. Good image is important because it bring investors to your state to open business and employ locals. Good image ranks second to communication.

Good dress code inspires young people to dress for success.

Below is a picture that shows several people on what looks like a construction site. I numbered people seeing on the image from 1to 5. Which of those men in this picture is governor Umahi?

If someone outside Southeast geopolitical zone cannot identify governor Umahi from the photograph below, that speaks badly about the state he governs.

“The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday said it was reviewing its adopted technologies for elections, with the view of introducing new ones...”

NEC cannot improve election irregularities in Nigeria unless voters’ concerns are addressed. Below are concerns members of this forum [Nairaland] have listed about election issues in Nigeria and I think they reflect why many Nigerians don’t trust NEC handling of election:

---by kenmaro(m): 8:39pm:

APC already making strategy to manipulate the 2023 elections so as to confuse opposition parties on new technology. 2023 elections will be the more you look, the less you understand. APC and corruption is like 5 & 6!

The significant thing about sample opinions above by members of this forum is the consistency in ways Nigerians view NEC: NEC is not an organization to be trusted. And that means NEC officials have a lot work to do to earn the trust needed to conduct free and fair election in Nigeria.

Will NEC officials listen?

So, I don't know why anyone would be surprised by Kardashian marriage to kanye west ending in divorce
PoliticsRe: Osinbajo Briefs Buhari On Economic Sustainability Plan (Photos) by eeetuk(m): 5:06pm On Jan 05, 2021
"Just In: Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, briefs President Muhammadu Buhari, on the progress made in the implementation of the Economic Sustainability Plan"

Vice president Osinbayo briefs president Buhari on progress made in the implementation of the economic sustainability plan is another attempt to lie to Nigerian people that the government is working. That is a lie. President Buhari since assuming office in 2015 has not put forward an economic plan-- which in my view can change the failed economic policy of the past 60 years.

You cannot implement a successful economic plan without a steady power supply.

You cannot implement a successful economic plan without network of roads linking all the 36 states of the federation

You cannot implement a successful economic plan without a true markets reform policy . The market system currently in Nigeria is outdated---cannot promote job creation and growth.

You cannot implement a successful economic plan without reforming Nigeria educational system. Right now, teachers are not well trained to teach. Classrooms are filled with NYSC graduates as teachers--- that to me is down grade on the type of qualify education kids are getting.

Latvin & bro4u:

Latvin:

I dont think Udom is the culprit here.

Victor Attah and Godswill Akpabio took the bulk of those loans
Atleast they had something to show for it. Udom is clearly clueless on how to govern AKS even the unemployment and poverty rate justifies it.---bro4u

Latvin & bro4u:
I took side with what both of you have said above.

I don’t know about Akpabio having something to show during his years in office, but Victor Attah clearly was the best governor Akwa Ibom State ever had for many reasons.

When Victor Attah became governor of Akwa Ibom State in 1999, Akwa Ibom State was a jungle and a forest. When you wake up in the morning, all eyes could see were bush, wilderness and rainforest. Roads that were visible could hardly fitted two cars.

The citizens deserted the state to Lagos and out of Nigeria—many never returned.

Return for what reason?
There were no private sector jobs anywhere in the state and if you see someone with a pay check, that person was a government worker. And if you lived in a village, you probably have never seen a car in your life. That was how bad Akwa Ibom State was before 1999—the year civilian government replaced military rule in Nigeria

But the emergence of Victor Attah in 1999 as the state governor changed everything in Akwa Ibom State forever. Under governor Attah, linking all the 31 local governments with network of roads became a reality. Several five stars hotels began to emerge. International Airport came in town. Football stadium was built. And several private sector jobs began to spring up everywhere in the state. And so were gainfully employment opportunities for locals.

This was followed by returned of citizens to the state in large numbers.
These developments began to slow down when Akapbio and Udom took over the state.
The chart below shows how Akwa IIbom State has fallen since Akpabio and Udom took over the management of Akwa Ibom State.

So, I am going to stop here for today, but I will in future expand on how Victor Attah rescued Akwa Ibom State.

PoliticsRe: Garba Shehu: PDP Is University Of Lies, Nigerians Don’t Want Them Back In 2023 by eeetuk(m): 9:08pm On Jan 03, 2021
“In a statement by Mallam Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on media and Publicity, he said Nigeria will not welcome the PDP which is ‘the university of lies’ to power again.”

I disagree with Mallam Garba Shehu claim above for a number of reasons.

First, President Buhari promise to end militancy in Nigeria upon taken office in 2015 has not been realized. For example, Bloomberg news reported that on November29,2020 110 Farmers were killed by Boko Haram. December 18,2020 Cnn news reported that 344 school boys kidnapped by Boko Haram. December 25, 2020 CNN news reported that at least 7 people killed

Second, Nigerian economy under Buhari presidency is in shamble. Unemployment among all age groups has skyrocketed. Young and old people unable to find work are on the streets vandalizing individual as well as businesses.

Third, kidnapping of people is uncontrollable. No single day has passed-by, where not less that 50 are not kidnapped. Under Buhari leadership, anarchy has replaced law and order—some people have argued worser than war time.

What is really working under President Buhari leadership that will make someone to support APC or Buhari?
The inquiry minds want to know.

"Armed bandits have killed an Imam and a community leader in Igabi and Jema’a Local Councils of Kaduna State for speaking against kidnapping and cattle rustling."

No surprise here!

Nigerian people should have known what they were getting into when they elected Buhari as their president in 2015 and 2019 respectively.

President Buhari passion for islamism has turned Nigeria into a slaughter house.

In 2014 when president Goodluck Jonathan was very close to eliminating boko haran by killing them terrorists, Buhari, while campaigning for presidency said this to President Goodluck Jonathan:
"Stop killing the muslims ".

Today, those Buhari fought to protect-'--the muslims are hurting Buhari's presidency .

All I am saying is, know what you are asking for, before you ask.

So glad president Buhari is paying for his bigotry remark he made in 2014 presidential campaign.

TravelRe: Third Mainland Bridge To Be Opened February by eeetuk(m): 3:54pm On Jan 02, 2021
“Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Frederic Oladeinde, has said the Third Mainland Bridge would be opened fully to vehicular traffic in February.”

Why does Lagos State continue to receive federal funds to fix its infrastructures and states that provide money for Nigeria to spend have gotten none?

According to my reporting and other sources, the third mainland bridge is 100% funded by the federal government of Nigeria—through oil money generated from South-South states.

Why this question is important:

This evidence points to why militant group like Boko Haram is thriving in the Northern Nigeria, rising increase in vandalism in south-South states, and kidnapping factories in South East.

In South South states—where all the money Nigeria spend is generated from oil sale, roads and bridges are in terrible states. The picture you see below is from oil community in Akwa Ibom State--this picture speaks to the state of deterioration of infrastructures in South-South. Since President Buhari has taken office as the president of Nigeria in 2015, funding federal projects in the state has ceased. Contrast this to states from South-West, all Northern States and South East which provide no money to the federal treasury and are receiving all the federal funding for their infrastructure’s enhancement. This is unfair.

Nigerian government under President Buhari has ceased to function for all Nigerians.

Buhari’ presidency has continued to stoke fears, traffic hate and divisions among Nigerians in ways never seen before.

So, I am writing to call on all well meaningful Nigerians to call on President Buhari to resign as soon as possible. President Buhari resignation will pave way for unbiased leadership to take over the country and run for the benefits of all Nigerians.

So disappointed to see that river state government has not brought modern shopping markets to its people, in spite of high amount of money the state receives from federal funds.

That stone age building---'people described as a market is not market. To me, it is a flea market. It has long been out law in many countries. But it exists in Nigeria because Nigeria is a failed state.

Please, people should stop advertising it as something good because it is not. It is only found in slums neighborhoods.

No wonder why Nigeria is inching toward collapse. The market looks so muddy and fifty.

I can't see myself shopping there, never.

So, I call on River state governor to resign because it can't develop the state to get people out of poverty.

Don't celebrate this conviction just yet because another judge, will in a few weeks from now take his 10% and drop the conviction on the grounds that the federal high court judge was bias.

It happens all the time in Nigeria. And if you have any doubt, ask Olisa_Metuh.

Olisa_Metuh is the former PDP publicity secretary. He stole $400 millions he got from Goodluck Jonathan campaign for his reelection in 2014. Olisa_Metuh admitted in many court appearances and testimonies of stealing the money. And after he got convicted, another judge in lagos state dropped the conviction, claiming bias by the sitting judge.

President Buhari leadership is surprisingly disappointed.

Boko haran, after being pushed to brink of collapse by Goodluck Jonathan administration, the terrorist group has reemerged and even stronger.

Two days ago, nearly 110 farmers were killed by boko haran. A few days later 344 school boys kidnapped.

In Abuja, the Nigerian capital, boko haran is in charge, bombing anywhere they want.

This is not Nigeria I grow up. Peace has disappeared.

I say Bring back the military government in Nigeria

When military government ruled Nigeria, crime resulting in killing people was rare. I used to walk from school to my parents home unafraid. And I used to go party and came home late at night unafraid.

But since civilian governments took over from military, insecurity and anarchy have replaced peace.

Nigerians should not sacrifice their lives for any reason to accept the kind of civilian government we have in Nigeria today.

It is not worth our lives.

PoliticsRe: FG Approves Five-Year Plan To Reduce Hunger, Malnutrition by eeetuk(m): 12:56am On Dec 16, 2020
Punchng: “The National Council on Nutrition chaired by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday approved a five-year nutrition action plan that will guide the implementation of interventions and programmes to address the problems of hunger and malnutrition across all sectors in the country”

Good idea, but it will not work in Nigeria for many reasons.

First, same frauds that sank oil subsidy program will return and eat up this intervention program for the poor. And here is one good example that supports this point of view:

On February 8, 2013 African Business magazine in an article title “the shocking truth about fuel subsidy fraud” the article described Nigeria oil subsidy as the world biggest national frauds. Investigation into Nigeria oil subsidy program by the magazine finds the following:

1. Most alarming fraudulent practice listed in the magazine against Nigeria oil for subsidy program said “Nigerian government pays subsidies on 59m liters of fuel a day while the country consumes just 35m liters a day “
2. Nigerian government paid or owed $14bn in 2011, up 154 % on the previous year, and almost two-thirds the amount Abuja’s entire budget for the year, which stood at $22bn
3. The number of companies importing fuel increased from six in 2006 to 140 by 2011—suggesting that they are huge profits to be made from the trade.

The data above proved why oil subsidy program failed. And my fear is that same people who destroyed oil subsidy are standing by to destroy this intervention program as soon as it begins.

Second, my view is improper targeting will lead to large proportion of foods going to high income people.

Third, those charged with the responsibility of making this program to work are not going to search for successful models—such as the Egyptian model, American model and European and apply them first, before the program begins. And in fact, knowing what Nigerians are, they are going to come up with silly ideas that have not been proven.

Don’t trust Nigerians. Once again, game on.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Shell Employees Causing Oil Leaks For Profit - Dutch TV by eeetuk(m): 5:08pm On Dec 10, 2020
According to TV documentary, Nigerian employees of Shell company deliberately vandalized oil pipelines for personal gains.

I disagree.
Why?
Shell oil company in Nigeria has no credibility when it comes to the way shell company officials view Nigerians. And it has long history of making false claims for their own profits.

David smith is a reporter for the Guardian newspaper. In Oct.2, 2011 article title “Shell accused of fueling violence in Nigeria by paying rival militant gangs” reporter Smith said “Shell has fueled armed conflict in Nigeria by paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to feuding militant groups, according to an investigation by the oil industry watchdog Platform, and a coalition of non-government organizations.”

This article further added “In Counting the Cost: Corporations and Human Rights in the Niger Delta, Platform says that it has seen testimony and contracts that implicate Shell in the regular awarding of lucrative contracts to militants. In one case last year, Shell is said to have transferred more than $159,000 (£102,000) to a group credibly linked to militia violence” -- One gang member, Chukwu Azikwe, said.

So, read the above investigative report and decide for yourself as to who is telling the truth in ongoing violence against residents of oil communities in Nigeria.

Shell oil company in Nigeria cannot be trusted.
